The issue was... they put an expiration on the gift card. So basically the next time I returned with my daughter and they told me I couldn't use it as it was past the six months. Money doesn't expire. I get that prices change on things but money is still money whether it's 2001 or 2020. So much for shopping local.

I bought a dress for my daughter and when we got home, she tried it on again to show her dad. I noticed a tear in one of the sleeves I hadn't seen when she tried it on in the store. So I returned the next day to exchange it and the cashier was super helpful, getting the correct size, checking for any issues anywhere on the dress, and making the exchange.
