Most recent work that was done on each of two vehicles we own was done to the customary and usual level of completeness, speed, and accuracy. There is nothing I see that changed due to new ownership. As the office manager of several collision repair shops in Kitsap County, I've been recommending B&B for the past 20 years. I never hesitated when a customer or friend asked me for recommendation for the best and most reputable auto shop in the area, it was always the Baxter brothers. They have now sold there shop to someone who does not care about quality, service, or customers. Wow...I'm horrified to learn of the experiences of some of my loyal customers who I (ignorantly) steered in the wrong direction when I sent them to B&B. Please do NOT use this company!!! read more

Everyone was extremely kind, and they helped me out even though I didn't have an appointment. They didn't patronize me, didn't up-charge. Just really honest, helpful folks. Took my car to BB Auto under recommendation from family members. I was charged 12 hours of labor for having my car for less than 6 hours. They performed 3 out of 17 inspections they claimed and billed for, all of which were because I explicitly told them were issues I wanted them to address. They inspected my trans fluid, accessory belt, and power steering. They did not inspect my brake lights, coolant, brake fluid, battery, washer fluid, and tire pressure - all of which were low but I unfortunately assumed were standard procedure to address so I did not check when I retrieved my car. I removed a burnt out brake light bulb the day before the appointment to use as a reference to find a spare at Oreillys while I waited for my car to be serviced. Nonetheless, the safety and legal light inspection, as billed for and recorded in my $1,000+ work order, was obviously not performed as I drove home and noticed, in my cars reflection on the car behind me, that my brake light was still out. No mention at all of my brake light not working when they called to inform me that they wanted to replace one of my axle seals for $300. I ended up putting in the spare bulb I bought when I got home. Remembered my horn didnt work and it was still not working when I picked up the car (I went to Oreillys and replaced the relay). Again no mention of it not working when they had my vehicle. Curiously, they had driven my vehicle for 5 miles to verify their work and to check for additional repairs without horns or the driver side brake light. Chassis was not lubed despite it being charged and recorded as such (grease fittings still drier and dustier than a Bremerton heatwave). Checked my oil level after my hood started smoking and they had overfilled it by more than a quart (I was charged $10 for the quart they overfilled with). Found out that they overfilled it because they didnt change the oil filter that they charged me for. At the end of the day I was charged $900 for 12 hours of labor and $300 of parts and materials. I am disappointed as I expected that if I paid for 12 hours of labor I would, at the very least, have been given the courtesy of a proper and technically correct service and thorough check of my cars safety and vital systems such as coolant, brake fluid, brake/low/high beam/turn signal lights, and horn. The work order invoice was not factually or materially accurate or correct as only 20% of line items claimed were actually performed. Things I could have done better: 1) enter maintenance and repair items as soon as they come up into a log kept in my car so that I dont forget things to bring up to my service provider. 2) verify all safety and legal functions prior to leaving the shop. 3) verify proper fluid levels and inspection points. Sometimes you cant just assume people will be honest or competent; they wont pay your moving violation or your insurance claim if you get into an accident assuming they checked your lights and brake fluid like the paperwork says they did! They definitely won't bring you back to life on your way down S National Ave without brakes! read more

The sad part is I have 8 vehicles. They all need maintenance. So they lost out. I had taken my vehicle to a mobile mechanic who found the job out of his scope. Found b &b online. I knew there was 5 things wrong with the vehicle. ignition, heater wiring, neautral safety switch, exaust leak, and windshield wiper motor. They charge me 134.95 for each of the 5 items just to tell me what I already knew. then gave me a bid for $2200 for these 5 things. I reluctantly gave the go ahead as I needed the vehicle to travel back and forth to mid west. Then I get a bill saying 2900. I call to say I never oked anything over 2200. I get a excuse that they didn't want to bother me. Well the bother is being 700 over the bid. Then the lady precedes to tell me the heater blower motor is faulty. although my mobile repair guy tested it. And I heard it run. They then charged more for this. All and all I spent just under $3100 for what should have been 1200. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THEM. Already found a new guy that isn't looking to retire on my 1job. I feel ripped off. As for a response from B & B don't bother you know you ripped me off. PS. never fixed my wiper motor. the wanted 414 for the part called auto zone it is a $212 part. Not a good experience and I'm really disappointed in how my situation was handled! My husband was down in California and had stroke, paralyzing his right side. I needed to drive down to California and drive him home to Washington. I wanted my car to be safe as he can't fly because of the risks. You can imagine my stress! I also knew I didn't have a lot of $$$ since I'm expecting huge hospital bills to come pouring in. My power steering has been making a whining sound and I wanted this checked out before I leave. I know this is typically from a leaky "O ring" letting air in the system, and when I checked the fluid reservoir there were air bubbles which pretty much confirmed the leak. I told Patrick at B & B my crisis situation and said, "Please don't hit me with a $2000 bill." I asked that they check out the "O rings" in the power steering unit because that's probably all it is. He said, 'We'll look into it." He calls me the next day. They wanted $1100 to replace the power steering unit. Even on RepairPal.com the high end average is only $813. He said the fluid was all burnt and they were going to need to do a power steering flush for $240 in addition to replacing the pump. He also said I would eventually need to fix the sway bar and struts which are creaking, and that would cost another $1250! I asked how they diagnosed it was the pump and not just the "O Rings" Patrick just kept saying it was their 'diagnostic' which wasn't really an answer. I called another mechanic and he agreed it was probably just the "O rings" since Honda Pilot steering pumps last forever. Even if it was the pump he told me it would cost $700 to replace it. A fair price. I told Patrick this, and about the RepairPal estimates. He came down in price to $998 but wouldn't match the price or include the cost of diagnosing the vehicle in the repair price. So stressful for me to deal with this on top of my husband having a stroke. I did NOT feel good about the situation and I decided to pick up my car and go to the other mechanic. I had to pay B & B $214 to get my car back!! That was for a 15 minute test drive and some time on the rack to look underneath at the sway bar and struts. :( I took my car to the other mechanic who fixed my car for $77! Yes, that's correct and I have the receipts to prove it. Turns out, it was the "O ring" and now my power steering isn't making the whining noise anymore. So, so disappointed I was treated this way at B & B. read more

We've been using b&b for our fleet and personal autos for years now. Some people don't like the fact that they don't just start replacing parts because the dealership says so our uncle Bob says so. Took our RV for regular oil change with an appointment. It took three days even though we should of had it back the same day. They went over the authorized dollar amount without calling for approval. Our RV was also broken into, items were stolen, the burglars also attempted to steal it. No items were replaced, to our knowledge no police report was filed and it came back to us with problems that were not preciously there. The only response from the business was that, "it was making that noise when we started it". Well this was after the attempted theft. I will not be using this place ever again. read more

I had a great experience with this shop, the shop that I was originally going to take my car to overbooked and I last minute called B&B (as I pass them on the route to my house daily) and asked if I could be fit in, they stated that because of a last minute cancellation they would let me take it in immediately (as that was my request). The people I interacted with were professional and friendly and when they recommended that the car not be driven due to safety concerns until the part arrived (two days later) they were so gracious to offer me an available "loaner" car. This was the world to me and my family, we only have the one vehicle and being recent military transplant with my spouse out of town I had no friends or family to assist me if I became without transportation. The cost of the repair seemed reasonable and there we no additional pressures for anything but the intentional repair. I will definitely use them again. read more

This place is the worst place to come get work done on your vehicle. They talk a lot and get nothing done. They jack up all the prices on labor and parts to make more money. I came here and they diagnosed my car with a catalytic converter even though I need a transmission. I asked for a quote for the transmission and Patrick and Joel both did nothing for me. No apology for letting me spend 1150$ on a part I don't need. I tried to bring the car back because les schwaub diagnosed me for free and they charged 220$ for the completely wrong part. I asked for them to put what I need in writing and Patrick tells me he's the only one working the front desk. I've been there three or four times now and had to call about 8-10 times and still they won't help me. I looked up the price of the part which was 1528$ at auto zone without the refundable 400$ core charge and Patrick said that's too low. Had my vehicle worked on recently, brake system rebuilt and water pump replaced. Brakes pull to one side, temp gauge indicates vehicle running at dangerously high temperature. Why was a proper evaluation of the cooling system not done before turning it over to me - needed some more troubleshooting, could have evaluated and replaced the thermostat. Both issues super obvious to me on 1st test drive but did not want to bring it back to them because they took over a month to get anything done. Every single time that I was told someone would call me back with some kind of an update, (several times) - no one ever called me back not even once. read more

They charged me $160 and refused to honor their "verbal" quote. I would not take my car to these people again. This is one of those times I could punch myself in the face for not checking yelp reviews before bringing my highlander in for a check engine light and VSC light. I called to make an appointment for service, and had to wait a week before they had an opening. Ok, no problem, I can wait for a good mechanic... Then I called back minutes later to get a couple dealer items ordered in advance so they would be there when I brought my car in the next week. On the phone, David cut me off and told me he was too busy to talk, and to call him back the following Monday or Tuesday. Knowing that wouldn't give them time for shipping on those special order items (broken visor clip, and floor mats), I tried to quickly explain, but again was cut off before I could complete a sentence. Although it was unprofessional to tell me to call him back and to cut me off without hearing me out, I let it go since they were referred by another trusted mechanic. I ended up calling the Toyota dealership myself and purchased the items directly. The visor clip and floor mats ended up taking till the day before my appointment to get in, and was glad I had ordered them myself instead of waiting all weekend to call David back... Fast forward to today, I dropped my car off last night and expected that my week long wait for my appointment would put my car first in line this morning. I called at 1pm for an update, and the call was crazy! He kept referring to my "RV"??? I corrected him twice that I did not have an RV, and that I was the owner of the highlander... Maybe they were high of some weed? It was totally unprofessional/weird and made me question their organization. So then, after being made to wait a week, to not look at my car till the late afternoon, cutting me off on the phone, and continually confusing me with an RV owner, I decided to check Yelp... By this time, and hour and a half had gone by, and decided I didn't want them messing with my car, and called to stop work. I told them I would be by to pay for whatever i owed and pick up my car. When I arrived David charged me for two hours of labor when they could have only been working for an hour and a half at the most. He said they fixed my VSC issue and gave me a list of items they checked out. Not wanting to waste my time any further, I cost myself a $230 lesson. My VSC light is still on, and stayed on all the way to the LK Automotive, which was another AC Delco shop that has 4.5/5 rating. Its already been a much more pleasant experience, and they are doing a complete inspection for free! Watch out. Just because someone recommends a place doesn't mean anything... Went as a vendor in the past and have to tell you that the owner was rude. He had asked me to adjust certain product to a lower amount and confirmed with him if he was sure that is what he had wanted. He said yes. After a couple of weeks when I arrived, he barged into my truck calling me names, cursing me out because of the low amount of inventory of product he had, was very unprofessional, rude and if it wasn't for me possibly losing my job, I would've put him in his place, he pretty much verbally assaulted me in his uniform bearing this shop name. Our first experience with B&B Auto Repair as noted below was not five stars but Joel the owner followed up and made everything right so when the transmission on our RV needed servicing we decided they were the place to go. I Placed a call to see when they could work us in and Mike who answered said let me look up your information came back with a firm quote and day to do the service which worked perfect for us. Dropped off the RV the morning of scheduled appointment Mike said he would give us call when ready for pick up which he did shortly after noon, sooner then expected so said we would pick it up the following day as we were in Seattle. Next morning went, RV was ready Mike said they checked the RV over test drove it and everything looked good for up coming trip down south. N time at price quoted so we are happy RV owners and will use B&B for all our future work. Thanks Mike and Joel for running a quality business! First let me say B&B Auto repair does quality work, now for the reason for the one star review. On 26 May 2017 I took our motor home in to have the dash air checked to see what was wrong with it and late in the day Mike called to let me know that both the compressor and expansion valve were bad and cost would be $1410 to repair which I though was high but did give them the okay to continue and repair it. On 1 June Mike called and said the motor home was ready for pick up which we did and everything worked as promised. After getting home I looked to see what the cost of labor was which was $666.27 which seems high to me to remove a compressor and expansion valve which should take no more then 3 hours but then again I was not the tech doing the work so not sure what he experienced so accepted that charge. Next I looked at the cost of the compressor and noticed that the part number was for a a NAPA part and having a NAPA dealer account called to see what dealer cost was which was $188 and list price which is what most repair shops charge and it was $300, I was charged $423, dealer cost for the expansion valve was $26 List was $41 and I was charged $118 yes four times their cost. I called B&B on 3 June and spoke to Mike about the cost of the parts and told him I felt I had been over charged he said they just but part numbers into their computer program and what ever it comes up is what they charge. I requested he speak with Joel the owner and get back to me which he said he would, two days later called back and Mike said he hadn't had a chance to speak with Joel but would the next day and call me back, well a week later and still waiting for the call back. So moral of story is check the price of the parts they will be using and make sure they are not OVER charging you and never expect them to follow up if you have any issues as they do not call back. Normally I would do my own work as I have for the last fifty plus years on all our vehicles but time did not allow me to this time, next I will make the time so I do not get ripped off like I did this time. read more

The guys at B & B Auto Repair are great. I bought a Freightliner truck for work last week and got a good deal on the price because it needed some repairs t the brakes. I brought it to their shop Friday morning and it was done in the middle of the afternoon, for less than the expected cost. They even went to the dealer lot with me to inspect it before I bought it, which is how I found out it had a brake problem in the first place. These guys are really good at what they do and always do what they say. I highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Do not go to B&B!!! My Jeep engine temperature gauge was too high and the check engine light was on so I took it to B&B. Upon checking, I was told that I needed a new thermostat, new radiator (due to radiator was blocked from excessive corrosion-so they say), and the biggest problem is a cracked engine head gasket (lie!). And not to mention, I needed a tune-up (with the check engine light staying on). With all that being said, the owner told me I was looking at $4500.00. Hell, I can buy another used Jeep for that much. I decided to take it to Mike's auto repair in Bremerton. I spoke to Kevin and told him about the issues I was having without telling him what B&B found or thought they found (without really checking for the problem). Kevin called me the following day and he said I needed a new thermostat, a new radiator cap (just a cap not a whole radiator) and tune-up. I asked him if the radiator was corroded and leaking, he said no. Just needed a new cap. I asked him if he found anything else he said no. I gave him that OK to fix it and reiterated to ensure that that radiator was not corroded and leaking. When I went to pick up my Jeep, he said he did not find no other issues and ensured that the radiator was not clogged and/or corroded and no other leaks were found not even on the engine block. So I went from a possible $4500 to $462. What a big difference. I've gone to Leavenworth and driven my Jeep daily for the last 2 months without anymore issues. Mike's auto repair to my opinion will not take advantage of people (unlike B&B) by thoroughly inspecting for the problem and without over charging you to fix it. So please check out Mike's auto repair before or after you visit B&B and I assure you they will meet and exceed your expectations without taking advantage of you and fix it for a very reasonable price. read more

I would not recommend this auto shop to anyone, We took our van in to fix the transmission, covered by the warranty, and at the same time are brakes need to be fixed. We pay our breaks out of pocket saying that rotor, etc.... yada, yada, yada. It cost us $694.00 for everything. 2 weeks later, the ABS light came on, the brakes light came, and the OD light came on. All of the lights that came on has to do with the things that they fixed. We also took it in to fix the 02 sensor and we got the van back the heater doesnt work. And we called them they said $100 to run the test. SMH! And we took it back a guy named Dave said oh, those are the brakes that the warranty covers for it, mind you the brakes are not covered by the warranty. He keeps on saying oh come back Monday etc, etc,. When they call us and said oh there's nothing wrong with it. They are obviously blind if they didn't see the lights that are on. He thinks that money grows on tree, $694.00 that is a lot of money. I think it's time to call Jesse the problem solver. The only reason why you got a star so i can post my comment.
