Our cab ride should have been six miles and less than $20. This cab driver in stone mountain, Georgia didn't know where Stone Mountain Park was. He took us to the wrong address first, then sat for a full minute (letting the meter run) asking us if we were sure of our destination. Then, he took a wrong turn and we had to make him stop the vehicle after a couple miles, take out our phones, and direct him. He took us $16 down and back the wrong road. When we finally directed him to our hotel, we told him we would pay for the direct route only. $20. The meter read $36. He began shouting at us and told us he didn't speak English when we tried to remind him of what had just happened. He called the police. The police had to have us pay the $42 fare that the cab was charging us because he left the meter running while he argued. cabbie left the meter running even longer and tried to argue with the police that our fare was now $47.
