I also have to hand it to BJ who did the installations. We spread this project over 3 orders a couple weeks apart to take time figuring out what we needed. Each time, BJ was thorough, thoughtful, and fast. We have black windows throughout the house, which is new for us and made design selections a little trickier, but the results are outstanding. Wil and team went above and beyond to get the colors exactly right and ensure everything was measured and designed to spec for each window. There are way more decisions to make than you realize, so having someone knowledgeable to walk us through the options made all the difference. The results speak for themselves. I wish the photos did them justice! They're even better in person. We went with white 2-inch faux wood blinds (they look awesome with the black windows!), sheer black solar roller shades, and extra-large wood plantation shutters custom painted to match the window trim. The install was professional. Unfortunately, I have now placed another order and two months later; a month after the promised date, I have no install date. I called the corporate office on two occasions and was promised a supervisor would call; still no call. After many calls to the salesman, I received a text a couple of weeks later after he promised to call with an install date. I still have not install date. The shutters are quality and professionally installed, however, customer service and delivery of the product is not as promised as advertised. Do not order if you need on time install and delivery or have a problem.

Said we ordered one product, when we obviously ordered a completely different one. Then tried to claim it was our fault! Tried to show us scribbled codes on an order sheet (which mean absolutely nothing to the customer - only to the person who wrote the order incorrectly!!) and say that was "proof" of what we "meant" to order. And mind you... all of this back and forth is delaying us getting the product we actually did in fact order. This all fully explains why I was told by their installer, Kevin, the day this all started, that "the owner has a whole garage full of blinds, shutters, and other product that they'll never get rid of, and it's all from mis-orders, duplicate orders, and other mistakes we've made". That's a direct quote from their own employee's lips. So it sounds like we are not the first customers who have experienced this.

The receptionist said he was going to ask the owners what was up and would call me right back. I called him back a day later. He promised to call me back this time to tell me what was going on. He also told me my paperwork had been filed away in the "completed" files of their office. Budget Blinds made the assumption that the job had been completed by the guy they employ to construct the blinds. Anyway, in mid December, Carlos shows up a day late to install blinds. I had to take an extra day off work. At that time, I called to speak with owners. Left message. To this date, no owner has called back. I complained about one of the shutters slats being uneven, and brackets had not been removed from old blinds. A month later Carlos shows up a day late to fix blinds and remove brackets. Had to take another day off work and he did neither of the two jobs he was supposed to. He moved a few slats around, that's it. The only time I received a phone call from the owner at all was to collect the remaining monies. I had written them a letter, detailing this whole ordeal, hoping they would do the right thing. My blinds were not installed properly and like the other customer said I was not given samples or a mock up. They use Independent Contractors who have the power to approve or deny a customers request for fixes, repairs, changes or improvement to an installation of windows covering. They advertise having an abundance of fabrics, styles, colors, and materials for your choosing- THEY LIED. The Independent contractor, Bryan Duke, came to my home with only one small book of designs and fabrics. My choices were very limited, so I made sure to choose wisely. The company is ranked #1 nationally, so one would expect superb treatment and consideration when an error has occurred on either side of the business transaction. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME: 1. They were 4 hours late to the initial installment day appointment, I could not wait any longer, I had a medical appointment. 2. When I called the following day to reschedule, I asked what happened yesterday, they said they were stuck in traffic. 3. The installer was nice. He did a great job, but I told him that he was installing the wrong shades in the kitchen. He said this is what the company loaded on the truck. 4. I called LUKE McCULLOUGH, the Controller, he said he would check into the problem and call me back... OFCOURSE, HE DID NOT CALL ME BACK !!! 5. My mistake was I PAID CASH... Over $6000.00 CASH So there was no incentive on their part to try to assist their customer and rectify a real concern! I wish I had FINANCED the job and then maybe The Louver Shop would have taken the time and care for a customer to provide an extraordinary experience. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY...!
