We recently (Saturday, July 4th, 2026) had a microburst storm that literally destroyed 8 trees on our property. These trees were all about 40 years old from when we built the house. Dubois Tree Service was out on our property the following Tuesday at 8:00 with a full crew. They not only worked on our property, but also on several other properties that day. It took two days to totally clean our property, but they were out in our neighborhood six days in a row helping people with MAJOR storm damage. The quality, the professionalism, the commitment to making sure everything is done correctly, and pricing is second to none. The owner Jimmy was with the crew everyday and his wife Christine in the office kept us up to date while I am sure she was managing a hundred different calls as this again was a MAJOR storm. We scrambled to find a service that could come out promptly, not knowing if the trees were stable. One company didn't call back; another did, but wasn't able to meet the price or timing that Hamby Tree Experts offered. Hamby sent a crew the next morning and surveyed the situation. They showed us how the uprooted tree had cracked the two it was leaning on, so those trees had to come out. We also had a dead tree in the corner of our lot that we asked them to cut down, and that entailed removing a smaller, mature oak. In the front, there was a huge tulip poplar with a large hole visible from the ground that we asked them to remove as well. It turned out the hole was nearly deep enough for me to crawl into--and the perfect home for a family of raccoons! Three babies were inside. The workers were able to remove two of them, but the third was having none of it. Hamby offered to leave that log section behind to give the little guy a chance to escape, and the workers will take it away the next time they're in the area. He said they were there to do some tree work for a neighbor to beautify the neighborhood and get my house sold. My house is already sold. I didn't like his condescending attitude and told him to move his truck. He didn't want to move the truck. He immediately got ignorant with me, trying to belittle me for not wanting his heavy vehicle parked there, blocking my security camera's view. I repeatedly insisted he move his vehicle. He said he would (after still being condescending and ignorant with his comments while I was speaking, talking over me and being snide) and then walked off to continue what he'd been doing before our conversation. I called him back to ask why he wasn't moving and he told me "turn off your camera and check back in 5 minutes", still giving me orders. Once he started moving I saw that they had parked more than one truck in my driveway. I am the 2nd house in from a cul-de-sac and they seemed to be working at a house right on the cul-de-sac. There was no need for them to park in my driveway, and certainly no need for this nastiness on their part. He should have apologized and moved his trucks.

AVOID CNC Tree Service: Requested a quote for work (large job) regarding palm trees on my lot. I was informed that I would be called to schedule when the work would begin and that the trees would be identified for the crew. Problem #1: Trees were never identified for the crew; work is done that is not part of the quote. Problem #2: Crew showed up unannounced on two consecutive days. Problem #3: Because the proper work was not done ahead of time work was done that was not part what was agreed upon and the owner (Cody) starts bellyaching about losing money. The owner also complained about the amount of overhead he has which had nothing to do with the work he was hired to do. Problem #4: Owner decided to get paid for what had been completed and walk away from the remainder of the job. CNC Tree Service came recommended by someone else in my neighborhood so I thought finally a reputable tree service. How wrong I was . . . not even close to being reputable.

George said they'd have no problem getting the backyard under control, but it was already July and that's not how weeds work - they had months to happily proliferate, and since then it's only gotten worse. I called to cancel, relaying my frustration, and they said they'd revert with a better rate. They never did, and when I followed up they quoted a HIGHER price per application. George said it was based on a recalculated treatment area, but the square footage he referenced was for my entire plot, including the footprint of my house/pool/wooded areas/etc. I pointed this out and, despite multiple follow-up emails, they never responded. We sent them the repair bill as requested, but since then we have not received payment and our attempts to resolve the issue have gone unanswered. We gave them multiple opportunities to handle this professionally, but unfortunately we are now considering pursuing the matter through civil court.
