Elchin is the best! I had a knotty problem - corroded/broken flush bolts in non-standard French doors. Through trial and error, Elchin did whatever it took to find hardware that would fit these darn doors, and installed them and made sure they worked perfectly. I'll say 5 stars can determine my business done with them needed 2 key fobs reprogrammed for my vehicle, unsure where to look for this service I contacted various businesses stating the same description and service I needed/quote & short to say they answered quickly, asked no further questions, quoted me and ask if I would like to schedule an appointment with them, while the other businesses I messaged asked to many questions and quoted some ridiculous prices for the same service they offered.They were quick and responsive so scheduled an appointment with them for the next day and so on the day arrives and worker calls me saying he was in the area, if it was fine with me if he could come an hour before the appointment, absolutely!! Now that's a business that has great service if you ask me!! Elchin from B&B came to my house today to repair my front door lock. First, Elchin arrived five minutes early, which was awesome. The company had given me a 2-hour window and I specifically requested that, if possible, someone arrive closer to the beginning of the window. The company said they would make a note of it and I appreciated that he delivered. Second, Elchin was super friendly and personable from the very beginning and throughout the project. Third, and most importantly, the exterior lockset required extensive repair - it took three hours. Elchin didn't waste any time either - he was thorough and deliberate and made sure he did everything carefully and properly. He even took a few minutes to polish the exterior door handle that had been looking worse for the wear to show me the beauty that lay underneath (I'd told him I thought I'd just have to paint it to cover up the ugly bits). Elchin also took the time to answer my many questions, explained in detail why he was doing what he was doing, why he thought the lockset could be repaired and didn't need to be replaced (it's old but good quality, and the hardware that mattered were in very good shape). Fourth, Elchin also rekeyed the locks and tested and refined the keys and locket several times before he was satisfied with how smooth the keys were turning in each lock. He also had me test each lock myself a few times, and showed me how to avoid locking myself out. Fifth, when I told Elchin about some interior doorknobs I thought needed to be repaired/replaced, he explained the various options I had that would save me the most money even though it might mean less labor for him. Sixth, the price charged was more than fair for the quality of work done. I'm very happy with the final result and will be hiring B&B (and will specifically request Elchin) when I'm ready to repair the interior doorknobs throughout the house. Finally, Elchin made sure his mask was properly worn at all times, which of course in COVID times I appreciated very much. Great service all around! read more

Awesome same-day service to buy and program an extra key for our 2020 Toyota Sienna minivan. Much cheaper and faster than going through the dealership (e.g., B&B charged $285 all-in for the key fob itself, cutting the emergency key in the fob, and programming the code.) Can't beat that deal for such good (and quick) service. Don't worry that there aren't that many reviews on Yelp yet, these guys were great. Although based in SSF, they didn't charge anything to come all the way out to us in the East Bay (San Leandro). I also ordered 2 extra house keys while the technician was here and he only charged $2/key. That's about the same as Home Depot but you don't have to worry that the key wasn't traced perfectly, which then requires a second trip to HD to fix it (argh). read more

Nice that they came on the time they said. But it's too expensive for a simple fix that only last for 15 minutes tops. I don't mind paying for $49 service fee to come to my place, but for the service like just removing the spring and turning the key hole for a $60 is overpriced. I had trouble with my 2004 Toyota Tacoma truck ignition switch off and on for years, but it became much worse these past few months--at one point almost stranding me at the library as the usual wiggling the key and turning the wheel didn't work.
