We have purchased 2 puppies from B & C. I have emailed back and forth with Christie numerous times over what kind of dog to get, when to get it, etc. She has been super helpful and friendly. The staff at B & C is very friendly and clearly loves the dogs. We got our first dog in 2016, a Teddy Bear...there is nothing cuter in the world than this dog! (she is black and white in the photo). She got along great with our older female Wire Fox Terrier who everyone told us would be mean to the puppy. Christie counseled me to try the Teddy Bear because of their temperament. They were best friends until the older dog died in 2018. I know you are supposed to wait to get a new puppy but the Teddy Bear was so depressed and cried when left alone. Teddy Bears are companion dogs and will follow you everywhere! The family decided that I could not get another Teddy Bear :( so we agreed on a Cavapoo (they wanted a slightly bigger dog). We got our Cavapoo in August 2018. She had a kennel cough and I took her to the vet; one round of antibiotics cured it. Our other dog had been vaccinated already. Both dogs are super healthy, energetic and friendly...there personalities are different but so sweet and loving. I recommend purchasing a puppy care program at your vet as it will save you tons of money. My only caveat which is not on B & C, but we got the Teddy Bear at 11 weeks, I think because she was one of the last two girls left! She got potty trained pretty quickly. But we got the Cavapoo at 9 weeks. Yikes! B & C offered to keep her longer for a fee but we wanted her, I just didn't remember that the other dog was older when we got her and wow, it took the Cavapoo a long time to sleep through the night. So when you get a puppy, know that the younger they are, the longer they cry at night. We are so attached to these dogs and would go back to B & C in a second. I took my pup out to the vet after purchasing him from b and c kennels and he had mites and an ear infection. Fast forward and he's only 1 now about to turn 2 and we discovered he has Addison's disease. Totally heartbreaking for our family. I should have listened to everyone who warned me not to go to a kennel. This is a horrible puppy mill. My puppy didn't even see the light of day until I took him outside for the first time. We picked up our little girl a month ago. We had called the kennel twice to get information before going to visit. The staff was pleasant and seemed forthcoming with information. Our concern was to make sure we weren't providing money to a puppy mill. We looked up as much info as we could and they reassured us the puppies are all bred by family members. We were so excited to hear this and thought it was great they were family oriented and loved puppies this much. We arrived and looked at the different dogs. We knew right away the Maltese was for us. We brought her home and all was well. Three days after bringing her home we took her to the vet as instructed. She was diagnosed with several worms and put on three medications. I was a little taken back by this but figured puppies get them no big deal. I notified Christie to make her aware since our puppy had probably been in close contact with others. Then last week happened....We received the paperwork for our puppy from the CKC. The paperwork stated that our puppy was born at A1 Puppy in Tennessee. What?! We immediately looked it up and were shocked!! Not only was I highly irritated but upset as well. Or dog is a puppy mill puppy!! I contacted Christie again and she insist this isn't true. To her a puppy mill means dirty, starving, unkept dogs. This place as 600 dogs and 120 puppies. All in cages, all stuck in them with anywhere from 3-8 other dogs. Her response.... Just because there are a lot of dogs doesn't make it a puppy mill. Well, I'm sorry but these dogs are not getting cared for. There is no way they are all getting daily contact that is acceptable as she claims. Please do not give her any more money!!! She is just a pet store in the country so it looks more appealing and legit. They do breed some dogs at her location but she also has 80-100 puppies per month delivered in a box truck from Tennessee! If she really wasn't ashamed of where the dogs come from, then she needs to post A-1 Puppy on her site where customers can see it clearly. Not just say a cousin has some of the dogs in TN... No, give all the info if you really believe it isn't a puppy mill Christie!!! Stop hiding what you are really doing. They are very deceptive about where the puppies come from and careful not to lie but also not to give you all the info. Yes the pups are well behaved and great... they probably get them from the puppy mill in time to socialize them and for them to learn decent behavior. I bet the parents of these pups aren't doing as well however! Upon investigating A1 puppy online, there is a video investigation showing clearly that this is a puppy mill. B&C recently had to apply for a special use permit in thier county because they are not supposed to be importing puppies, only breeding and selling. They are also applying for a special use permit in another county in order to build a larger facility and bring more puppies up here from TN! Please don't enable this, purchase your dog from a reputable breeder and not a puppy importer! read more

Buyer beware! We are absolutely appalled with the service of B and C Kennels. We asked for a purebred Maltese. No mixed breed! A recent DNA test confirmed our growing concerns over these last two years as Blake continued to grow. He is 37.5% Bichon Frise, 12.5% Poodle, and only 50% Maltese. Here is our story. My husband and I, along with our 11 year old son drove two hours to B and C Kennels. We had a confirmed appointment. We were excited at the prospect of meeting our new puppy. During our drive we received a call from Christie. She informed us that another family had also been booked at the time that was allocated for us. We were asked to come back another day. We were rather taken back. My husband and I politely explained that we were only minutes away. Christie then went on to say the other families little girl was "upset" because she really wants the puppy. The girl and her family had not yet seen the puppy as they too were still driving. We felt terrible for the girl in question. It was an awkward situation. We felt frustrated with how Christie handled this. We again explained we were minutes away. Christie reluctantly told us to proceed with the visit. We obviously did but there was now a bad taste in our mouths. Christie sounded frustrated with us. How is this now our fault? Who ever took the booking should be held accountable. Not the customer. When we arrived we asked to speak to Christie. We were told by a man named Brian that she was "taking a nap". We thought this was very strange considering we had only spoken to her minutes before.We have a severely disabled son and my only explanation for Christie's absence upon our arrival is that perhaps she felt a sense of guilt when she saw us pull up and wheel our son out of our van. You see, we too had a child with high expectations to meet his forever puppy. It wasn't in our nature to mention that over the phone as a guilt trip (like she did to us). After playing with the Maltese puppy we didn't feel a connection. We felt a sense of relief. We don't believe in forcing anything and to us this meant the girl who was still on her way to meet the pup would perhaps get to take home a puppy! We left without our bundle of joy which was a little disappointing but it wasn't meant to be. In hindsight, we now regret not cutting ties right there. Weeks later Christie called us saying she had found us the perfect "Purebred Maltese". We drove down again! We walked away with a new puppy. All the paper work stating it was a purebred Maltese. Fast forward. Blake is two years old and a whopping 25lbs! A Purebred Maltese is between 6lbs and 8lbs. Blake has no overweight issues. Just normal for this mix breed of dog. We had our suspicions. We decided to get a professional DNA test done. No photos of Blake were sent. I only mention that as there are DNA companies out there that are a scam and ask for photos of your pet. Do not submit any photos if you should ever decide to get your dog DNA tested.It should be based purely on the dogs saliva. Blakes test came back Bichon Frise, Poodle (Miniature) and part Maltese.We have the microchip to prove this is the same dog and have back up support from our Vet. All paper work in tacked. We chose a Maltese because we are avid lovers of the breed. They are hypoallergenic. A perfect fit for our special needs son. The Maltese are wonderful companions, great with children. They are known for their sunny disposition. These last two years have been extremely hard with Blake.We have hired two professional dog trainers to help us with Blake's aggression. Maltese dogs are not known for their aggression. I am now investing on a third trainer (Carla Mosar) who has been professionally trained by Cesar Millan (TV'S Dog Whisperer). Christie told us that her "cousin" in Mississippi bred Blake. Why does she not know the breed of Blake's parents? If Christie is a legitimate and honest dog breeder she should know the answers to our concerning questions. Previous complaints against Christie state she gets her puppies from her "cousin" in "Tennessee"-BIG RED FLAG! She claims she can't be responsible for what breed may have been involved 10 generations ago. Yes, you can. That is the job of a good dog breeder! She did offer us a reimbursement IF we gave Blake back. Who could actually give their beloved dog back after bonding with it that long? Not us. I found Christie heartless. No compassion, no apologies. We are honest people,very trusting. We took Christie and Brian at face value. Believed in the paper work. We have been scammed. Blake's aggression comes from the poodle side of the breed. Hard wired. Please, don't buy your puppy from B and C Kennels. There are many complaints out there. Christie asked us not to mention our situation on social media. I am here pouring our hearts out. Good luck to anyone wanting to buy a puppy. This should be a pleasant experience. We recently purchased a yorkipoo from B&C Kennels. I read all the reviews, good and bad and made a decision to move forward with purchasing from them,. Our puppy was 3 months old when we bought her.We brought her into a house with two other yorkipoos and our two children. She got along well with them all and has a very sweet disposition. At our first visit, the vet gave her a clean bill of health in every department. She doesn't even have patella problems which is common for this breed of dog. No worms, no cough, nothing wrong with her. We couldn't be more thrilled. I would encourage everyone to make your own decision after visiting them. We were quite impressed. Our family would like to thank B & C Kennels so much for our beautiful Boston Terrier puppy! He is absolutely adorable and appears to be in perfect health. When we arrived at the kennel, everything there looked very clean and organized. Also, I felt that the process, from beginning to end, was very professional. They were kind and patient with us. Bought a puppy from B&C Kennels in 2015. When we later received the registration form in the mail, we discovered that our puppy had actually come from a breeder in Tennessee. We soon found that our pup had no issues going potty in his crate. This has led to dozens of baths and crate cleanings at all hours of the day. We have tried everything over the past six months to help him overcome this unnatural problem and nothing has changed. We spoke with a reputable dog trainer recently who said that this problem is usually seen in dogs from puppy mills and that this behavior will not go away. Wanted to write this review to make others aware. We will do our homework next time and buy from an accredited AKC breeder. read more

Please do your research before purchasing any pet, I thought I had but I should've done more. We purchased our precious Roxie just over 2 years ago from B&C for our 7 year old daughter. She was a Morkie (Maltese and Yorkie mix). We had to put her down in Feb. of this year because to our surprise she was diagnosed with an infectious disease in which we would have to keep her on meds and quarantined from everyone and everything for the rest of her life, this includes home visit vet appts only, no more grooming appts., no having children and people over for visits with her able to join...etc. Prior to us finding out what she had, we had made a handful of visits to the vet over the short 2 years we had her for reasons we could not figure out. She was a tiny dog only about 10lbs but sometimes when we would go to pick her up she would squeal, well recently she grew a large lump on her back and became lethargic, so we took her in right away and they drew blood and suggested we get it tested, to my surprise she was diagnosed with an infectious disease that is fairly rare . I have no doubt this disease was passed to on to her at birth which is when it likely happens and is most common in Mills. After this all took place, I found so many horrible things on line about this place. They are on the horrible hundred puppy mill list provided by the Humane Society as well. I too was lied to as to where this puppy came from as I was adamant that I did not want to buy from a Mill, this place is no different then Pet land where they get a ton of dogs shipped in from other States often. We have had our puppy for just about one month and our family is crazy about her. However, we did not have a good experience with B & C Kennels. I had put down my deposit five weeks before our selection date. I was told that I would have first choice of a female puppy (teddy bear dog) and there were two litters available. Both litters had 4 female puppies for a total of 8 females to select from. There were pictures posted on their website showing 4 sable and white puppies and 4 black and white puppies. As our selection date was two days out, and I phoned the kennel to reconfirm my selection time. I was told that if I wanted first choice of female puppy I needed to keep my appointment time. When I arrived at the kennel, at my appointment time, with my three daughters, we were shown just three puppies (and one was much older and from another litter). I inquired about the other 6 female puppies and reminded them that I was told, twice, that I had first choice of female puppies. They told me that puppies are so small that sometimes they can't tell the boys and girls apart and that the photos posted on line were not correct. They then told me, very rudely, that they would refund my deposit and said I was welcome to leave. I could write another paragraph about this unfortunate experience, and the way my family was treated. Had my daughters not been with me I would have walked out deposit in hand. However, I could not let my girls down. I would not visit or recommend this kennel. read more
