Naturally when you see a store that says puppies you think puppy mill, well this place has changed my thoughts on that completely. This is nothing even close to a puppy mill!! This place is amazing. It basically does the hard work for you when wanting to find a pure bred or hypoallergenic breed or something in particular. All their dogs are from AKC licensed and certified breeders, they warranty your pup and allow you to do a 72 hour vet check up to prove the dog they gave you is a happy healthy pup. They give you the information about the breeder and tell you all about the particular dog, which in our case was a golden doodle. Sooo incredibly knowledgable and an incredible family. We adopted Lucy our goldendoodle last Sunday after a painful restless night of her being on-hold by another family, fortunately that fell through and as we asked they called us 1st and boy do we love her. My boyfriend is allergic to most dogs so we needed a hypoallergenic pup, they let us take her out to our car to see if he had an allergic reaction, and after a half hour we came back in and said we'd take her! We brought her home and come Monday started developing kennel cough, typical for puppies, change of environment, we called perfect pup up and they had me come by and pick up a antibiotic for her right away! Not only that, I freaked out later that night and brought her in and they checked everything out and she wS fine, just exhausted from her first day home! Tuesday I took her into the vet and he said she was happy and healthy! We couldn't be more grateful for this place. The amount of care this family has for these pups and the relationships they create with each individual that walks through their door gives you a sense of comfort, as we all know adopting a puppy can be a stressful thing! They have a nice selection of healthy and well taken care of puppies. They are displayed on their website, and they even do special orders if you are looking for a specific breed/gender. They also sell food at a reasonable price, and a few items such as toys, dog clothes, bowls, etc. I cannot say enough great things about Christine and Chris. Any time I call (and I called A LOT at the beginning!) they are full of advice. They truly love the animals, and care about their well being. I just called today to ask their advice because my Molly has contracted roundworms. They steered me in the right direction, and were able to save me a lot of money. I think we have our hands full for a while, but if I ever wanted to get another puppy, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to The Perfect Pup. I've recommended that some of my friends go there as well. If you know what a puppy mill is and how absolutely horrifying they are then you know to avoid ALL pet stores. I was upset for having had contributed to the greedy business by purchasing a dog as opposed to adopting one (which i would only do now.) But still, the people that worked there seemed so nice I let myself feel better about it. Recently an article came out naming some of the worst puppy mill breeders out there....one of the perfect pups breeders was on the list...and he breeds my dog. :( This breeder has about 300 dogs living in horrible conditions. I've been looking for a puppy for awhile, and I went into perfect pup the other day to look at what they had and I was in there for 20 minutes before someone acknowledged me. The lady was rude and extremely uninterested in helping me. I asked her many questions and all her answers were short and annoyed. I wasn't done talking to her when she walked away and yelled from the back of the store "use hand sanitizer". While I know I look young and may not seem like a serious customer, that gives her no reason to treat me the way she did. We bought our pup, Marley OneLove under the guise that he was a hybrid puppy...specifically a CavaTzu. He was supposed to be a very laid back lap dog of about 15 lbs full grown. We made the decision to buy a hybrid because we wanted very specific traits and the CavaTzu checked all the boxes. Well Marley is now fully grown and is almost 30lbs! He has always been a very high strung dog, a nipper and full of energy. :-( At 62 years old, this was not an ideal situation for us. At our Vet's advice, we had a DNA test done and found out our "hybrid pup" was actually a "mutt" LOL Four different breeds, one of which was cocker spaniel which explained the size and temperment. I now warn everyone we talk to about The Perfect Pup and advise everyone, regardless of where they are looking to purchase a pup, to either purchase AKC registered dogs or have the facility produce a DNA for the "hybrid" pup. The fact is, we love Marley of course, but had we decided on a fully mixed breed dog, we would definitely had sought out a shelter dog. read more

My dog is NOT a purebred, you could tell by looking at her as she got older that she is not a purebred beagle. I love her dearly but the paperwork I was given was completely phony and numerous beagle breeders have confirmed, as well as my vet. My father also bought a dog from them that has severe hip problems. The vet told my dad immediately that the dog was from a puppy mill, without a doubt. When he tried to contact them about it, they avoided him like the plague. When they realized he wasn't going away, the owners mother offered him $500 back as long as they agreed to sign a non-disclosure agreement! My dad refused.....it was unbelievable. These people are scum, do your research. Their breeders are listed, publicly, as being associated with puppy mills. Adopt or go to a breeder. Stay away from this awful place. read more

This puppy store is not average store. The owners dont care about there animals or dont care about the well being of the dogs they sell. They are only in for taking customers money! They even falsify there puppy guarantee. 3 yr guarantee. Any oroblems reimbursement, but they dont tell you, if dog is returned and seems unfit too resell. They will end the dogs life. I have had first hand history with this company doing so. But want my dog to have a full life. But have yet to see any reimbursement for any medical bills or help in any further medical or therapy the dog needs. The owner is rude and mean after the point of sale.
