Sent them some images of the areas so they knew what to expect and then they came and their team cleaned the whole house as requested. I lived in the place for 5 yrs at the time of moving out, I mentioned this to him and because I wanted him to know that it wasn't going to be a regular cleaning. He said it's taken about 2.5 to 3 hrs to complete. He came over at the agreed time, by himself, and got started... It took him almost 4.5hrs if I remember right. He did the best he could considering that it was probably a bit more than we thought... I just wanted him to concentrate on the kitchen and bathroom since that's where the majority of the work was anyway but I didn't want to micro-manage him so I left to unbox stuff at the new place. As I said it took him longer than we thought because I returned about 2hrs later and he was no where close to finished. So I left to run a few errands and came back an hour later, I felt bad so I didn't really look anything over too closely and he left. He did a great job, as I said before, for one person doing the job that should have been done by two. I looked over things a bit closer before the inspection and spent about an hour taking care of the things that were missed but I don't fault him for them... Mostly misc little things. I appreciate his help and do recommend him and his services the only reason I give it 3 star rating is because I was expecting two people as was discussed and it took longer than expected because of it.

My family is very sensitive to certain chemicals and I needed to be sure none would be used and make us sick! I never heard from Glen, but needed a deep clean for the holidays and was reassured that they use safe and fragrance free cleaners to avoid reactions from anyone, so I decided to give them a try. The cleaners did an overall good job. There were a few areas I had to ask them to touch up a bit better, one of them being our stainless steel kitchen sink that still looked dirty in some places. I heard harsh scratching noises from the other room while they were redoing it and shortly after they left I discovered that the entire bottom of the sink was badly scratched. I immediately called the main line to see what could be worked out to repair the damage. I was once again told no one but Glen could help me. It took him over 24 hours to get back to me, and that was only via text. He told me there was nothing the cleaners have in their tools that could scratch steel, "but there is polish you can get to remove any scratches, and apparently even toothpaste works too." I advised I had already tried baking soda and it didn't do a thing. He proceeded to indicate his employee was "specifically asked to scrub the sink hard. We have no remedy for this other than to refer to insurance." I asked for him to clarify what he meant by "refer to insurance." When he didn't respond for 4 days, I texted again asking for clarification. No response. Two weeks went by, still no response, so I asked again to clarify. Almost 24 hours later, Glen finally responded reiterating that everything they use is safe for steel and "we believe that these scratches existed prior to our arrival." This has been a terrible experience! Not only was all customer service bottlenecked through the owner, Glen Goody, he could never be bothered to actually have a conversation about the damage to our sink and first experience with his business. It is absolutely unbelievable to me that he also implied I was lying about the damage by saying the scratches existed before they arrived. I would NEVER recommend The Maids to anyone based on the way Glen conducts his business!
