Harry was very nice, patient, and knowledgeable at my home inspection. I am a first time homebuyer and was not sure what to initially expect, however he explained everything to me as we went along. He also offered some very good advice on how to fix each item, or suggestions to prevent future problems from occurring. I would have never thought about some of the suggestions he was providing, which could have turned into thousands of dollars worth of headaches down the road. He was very professional, and I did not feel as he was rushing or it was just a job to him. I can say Harry truly loves his work, and takes pride in any home that he inspects treating it as his own. I was told at the end of the inspection we would have our official reports with pictures included within 48 hours, and was pleasantly surprised to have everything about 24 hours later. All of the pictures were labeled and coinciding with the report so it was easy to understand. I left the home with a nice binder, that I look at as the diary of my new home. It was all of his notes, suggestions, and his checklist as we went along. It also has some very helpful hints as to help upkeep the home and the routine maintenance I should be preforming. Harry is a RARE find. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and thorough but he offers the type of customer service people write books about. Seriously call this guy and you'll see what I mean. You can tell he not only loves what he does but also genuinely cares for his clients. As a first time home buyer I had a lot of questions and on my initial call Harry took the time to answer them all and make me feel comfortable (this was even before I scheduled an appointment with him). On the day of the inspection Harry went through the house with a fine tooth comb. He takes his time and checks EVERYTHING! He welcomed me to follow him throughout the process and shared his knowledge along the way. He even spent time going over things I should know as a first time home owner and how to do some things around the house. Even after the inspection was complete and he was paid Harry continued to go above and beyond. His report contained pictures he took while performing the inspection and he felt some of the pictures didn't turn out good enough. I assured him the pictures in the report looked fine but he still came back out to the property the next day to retake them. This is how much pride he takes in his work! Just had a home inspection done by B & H, specifically by Harry Brown. EXCELLENT service. We're first time home buyers and had no idea how to pick an inspector, we were under a time crunch to get it completed and We found B & H on google. Harry was able to come out the very next day which was awesome! He was timely, professional and let us know right from the beginning he wasn't working for anyone but US as the buyer! This guy knows his stuff, and he does not mind taking the time to make sure he passes that knowledge on to his customers. My wife and I are in the process of closing on our first house, and the information provided by Harry was invaluable. He inspected the house and the detached garage. He included his findings for both in his written report, which he provides well organized and easy to read in a binder. He also followed up with photos of the different items mentioned in the inspection via email. He also thoroughly tested the septic system, and got all of the water tests processed that we needed. When one of the water tests came back abnormal he was able to provide us with great advice regarding the issue and some options that would fix it. I was very lucky to find Harry B. to help me and my son find a good place to live in this low inventory market. After I signed the offer the seller's agent disclosed information about an insurance claim on the condo which involved a sprinkler pouring water into the entire condo. I was concerned so I asked if I could have a mold test done which was allowed by the seller. I called Harry and he gave a quick response, got the sample, called the testing lab in FL. to request an expedited return of the results. We test on Friday and got the results on Monday evening. Harry is a true professional. With 39 years of experience, why would you use anyone else? Trust his experience! We had a complete inspection including septic and water testing on a foreclosed home that we just purchased. The realtor was late having the water turned on since it was winterized, but Harry came back a second day for he water testing and didn't charge for a second trip. He was very thorough and pointed out even the smallest problem. He gave us photos of all problem areas and a binder of all the inspection details.
