Our washing machine went out of balance. We checked Thumbtack for a service company. On Thumbtack they have good reviews but, DON'T BELIEVE IT! They were they only one that came up for appliance repair. They were picked. Eric responded quickly at first. Showed us the problem why the drum was bouncing off balanced when washing. The shock absorbers and support were busted. Two rear components and one front one. I looked online to see what shock absorbers cost for a front loading GE machine. They're about $100-$120. Not including labor. Eric after going outside to call his 'Office' to get a quote, he showed us estimates for parts and labor which we thought were a bit high. We agreed to pay for the parts and then labor after the work was completed. Totally Unprofessional as we see now from the other reviews. Mr. Holmes was able to perform a diagnostic within 24 hours of our phone conversation and repaired the dryer during that initial visit. He went above and beyond with the post-repair cleanup by vacuuming behind the washer as well. He was prompt, courteous, honest and his fees were reasonable. My family member initially thought they would need to purchase a new dryer, so the savings turned out to be tremendous.

After posting my review, the manager took the time to personally call me and send an Email providing a detailed explanation addressing the reason for the significant price increase. Because of the way CLT Appliance handled my concerns, I want to update my previous review. My original concern was regarding the pricing of a repair and the inconsistent explanations I received about why the cost had increased significantly compared with my previous repair and a recent quote from the company. I want to be clear that my concern was not with the technician. He was professional, courteous, arrived on time, and completed the repair well. After reviewing my feedback, the manager from CLT Appliance reached out to discuss my concerns. I appreciate that the company took the time to listen and address the situation rather than dismissing my feedback. I also appreciated that my initial conversation with the manager's assistant was escalated and handled promptly. The manager reviewed my concerns, provided additional clarification regarding the pricing, acknowledged my frustration, and worked with me to resolve the issue. CLT Appliance ultimately refunded the $125 difference that was the source of my concern. I appreciate a company that is willing to listen to customers, take accountability, and make things right. While my initial experience left me frustrated, the way CLT Appliance responded afterward demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction. I also want to again recognize the technician who performed the repair. He was professional and did excellent work. I might add that my issue was with a dryer vent that vents to the ROOF of my house. The tech had to go up there on a sweltering hot day....never said a word about how terrible it must have been in that attic. I'll use them again!
