I had originally posted a one-star review based on my experience with how CLT Appliance determined the pricing for my recent service and how that pricing was communicated to me. After posting my review, the manager took the time to personally call me and send an Email providing a detailed explanation addressing the reason for the significant price increase. Because of the way CLT Appliance handled my concerns, I want to update my previous review. My original concern was regarding the pricing of a repair and the inconsistent explanations I received about why the cost had increased significantly compared with my previous repair and a recent quote from the company. I want to be clear that my concern was not with the technician. He was professional, courteous, arrived on time, and completed the repair well. After reviewing my feedback, the manager from CLT Appliance reached out to discuss my concerns. I appreciate that the company took the time to listen and address the situation rather than dismissing my feedback. I also appreciated that my initial conversation with the manager's assistant was escalated and handled promptly. The manager reviewed my concerns, provided additional clarification regarding the pricing, acknowledged my frustration, and worked with me to resolve the issue. CLT Appliance ultimately refunded the $125 difference that was the source of my concern. I appreciate a company that is willing to listen to customers, take accountability, and make things right. While my initial experience left me frustrated, the way CLT Appliance responded afterward demonstrated a commitment to customer satisfaction. I also want to again recognize the technician who performed the repair. He was professional and did excellent work. Quick response time, explained the fees ahead of time. Repair tech came on time and within the time frame. He carefully explained the problem to me and was able to clear it up at this visit. I might add that my issue was with a dryer vent that vents to the ROOF of my house. The tech had to go up there on a sweltering hot day....never said a word about how terrible it must have been in that attic. I'll use them again! read more

Service tech arrived quickly and was very quick to diagnose. Needed a part (control board, isn't that always the case?) Tech returned two days later, fixed washer quickly. As far as value, it cost $400 to fix, a brand new washer, exact model was first sake at Lowe's for $480. So hard to say if it was worth cost. Which the current washer is under 2 years old. read more

This company does provide immediate and flexible scheduling. Requested a diagnosis of my LG refrigerator and it was confirmed the compressor was dead. They required a 'diagnosis fee,' which would be included if you proceeded with full repair work. Despite having a warranty for the compressor, their service and repair fee was still ~850. I received a 2nd quote from a different company for nearly the same amount; still very expensive. read more

I've had really good experience with this company. They quickly responded to my need via the Thumbtack app. I was able to schedule a tech within a reasonable amount of time, on a day and time that worked for me. The tech was ontime and friendly. He quickly identified the issue with my Range Hood, and fixed it. The price was in alignment with what had been quoted to me. Prompt arrival, quickly assessed the refrigerator but wasn't able to fix due to damaged coil.

Technician Alex came out during the early part of the appointment window. He diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes, and had it fixed in about 30. Probably would have been even less time, but he waited to ensure the oven heated normally again, so that took a little extra time. From the moment I telephoned to make an appointment with CLT Appliance Repair for a dryer issue, I was treated with respect and empathy. I was given a next day appointment and the technician (Jo) arrived on time. He immediately went to work in assessing my issue. Before he did anything, he put a protective slide under my dryer to ensure my floor was not scratched. I had previously had someone out and they did not take this precaution. Jo gave me his assessment and the repair cost before any work was done. Within an hour I had an operable dryer AND he inspected my dryer vent all the way to the exterior. Our newish LG Washer broke (pump motor failure) on a Thursday night, we requested an appointment through Yelp on Friday morning and Paul was there to evaluate and repair the washer by 2pm on Friday. It's such a challenge today to find reliable affordable and professional home service companies. This was exactly what I found with CLT Appliance repair. It all started with a quick review of Yelp rankings and I found CLT Appliance repair at the top of the list. They have three locations in the Charlotte region and they serve my area in Fort Mill/Rock Hill, SC. I have a fridge/freezer I keep in the garage and noticed the fridge was not cooling properly though the freezer was working fine. I sent a request for estimate through Yelp late in the day around 6p and got a response back about 730p. After a brief phone call with Dennis the Dispatcher early Tuesday morning around 730am, I had a confirmation of arrival between 1p & 4p that day. Dennis indicated, I would hear from the Tech prior to their arrival and about 1230p I got a text from Daniel letting me know he was on the way. He arrived at 1p and after a brief conversations he started his diagnositc which took about 30 minutes. He explained the problem and the repair very clearly and gave me a written estimate. He discovered the drain line was frozen and was not allowing the fan to blow cold air to circulate in the fridge. After I approved the estimate he immediately started work and was done by 230p. When the work was complete we talked about the final bill which was reduced by $15 per the Yelp on-line referral discount. Very reasonable for the work that was done. Especially considering the ease of the process. Daniel was great, very professional and a clear communicator. He gave me some guidance on how to keep this from happening again. By contrast I contacted another vendor around 4p on Monday and 24 hours later, no response. I highly recommend this service and would not think twice about contacting them again if I ever have appliance repair needs. read more

Appliances are bound to wear down or breakdown. Repairs are the best way to stay green by keeping your green (in your pocket that is). I've called on CLT for repairs a few times and have relied on their advice. I've worked with others in the past but they've needed to make a few return trips to resolve. I've come to trust the feedback from the guy who makes the trips to my rental property (dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine). Most recently I had a washer with a bad hot water valve, so could only wash on cold. The repair was relatively quick, just over an hour and back to good. Do research on whatever you buy, new or used. Many products we buy with popular brands we trust are just a sticker slapped on an appliance made by another manufacturer. Not unheard of unfortunately. Good luck! read more

He didn't have the exact part needed, so there was a reschedule for about 3 days later, but it was our secondary fridge, so it wasn't urgent, and the freezer was still working fine. I received a next day appointment and the technician arrived during the time he was scheduled. Stan promptly diagnosed the problem and gave me an instant estimate for the repair. He was kind and courteous and during the visit, he explained the problem, gave me a demonstration of how he diagnosed it and then showed me the damage to the heating element he removed. I called CLT yesterday to schedule an repair appointment for my Viking oven. The technician came over today within the time frame they said he would be here. Russell texted me about 20 minutes before his scheduled time of arrival. He was very professional, polite, and courteous while here. He gave the oven a thorough check-up and was in and out within an hour. Russell even gave me a few pointers on the operation of the oven, which I did not know before. I hired them for my mom's garbage disposal repair or swap. They were nice, eager to do the work & informative. They were puntual as well. Turned out she needed a new one which they installed. The price was reasonable as well. I asked them about the warranty on the unit and was told 3 months for both the brand new unit and the work. Being new I felt certain the manufacturer would do a year so I asked for an itemized receipt, and only got a generic one. They have beat around the bush even after I sent them the info from the manufacturer's website that they do 5yrs. It's been a week and I still have no proof of when they installed the brand new unit. My mother's sink has sprung a leak since then as well. I mean try your luck, but I won't use them again and we need other things done. I'd hoped to build a relationship with them for other projects. but I think I'll just move on. I shouldn't have to beg a legit business for an itemized receipt. Another great experience with CLT Appliance Repair: For the past few weeks I've noticed that things in our refrigerator main section were not as cold as they should be but some drawers in the refrigerator were freezing things. It got worse over the past few days, so I called CLT around 9:30am on a Monday morning. They scheduled a tech for 1 to 4pm the same day and the guy called and came out a bit early. After 20 minutes he had found the issue and sent me an estimate for approval. I approved and he made some calls. He didn't have the part in his truck, but a co-worker had it in theirs. 30 minutes later he's back with the part. 15 minutes later it's installed and the refrigerator is working like a champ, back down to the correct temp. It's sad, but both my wife and I are stunned that a company answers the phones, schedules service quickly, does their job efficiently and gets it right the first time. I contacted CLT Appliance for service call for my electric range. Their response time was quick. The technician was respectful, and knowledgeable. The cost of repair was a little high to me but less than it would have been to purchase a new stove. The technician stayed in contact with me about receiving the part and the delivery time. I did mention to him that I would like to be able to use the oven before Easter Sunday but if I couldn't it was fine. Well, Saturday morning early before Easter Sunday, the technician called to say he had the part and wanted to install before leaving town. Even though I was on my way out the door, I said yes. The technician came, installed the part, checked that the oven worked properly and was on his way. I really appreciated that he had took in consideration my desire to prepare Easter dinner. There respond time and scheduling were very prompt. I was a few minutes late, because of Charlotte traffic, but my service tech Daniel did not mind. The source of my leak was very difficult to sort out but together we were able to determine what was causing the problem and how to fix it. I am happy to say now a week later there are no leaks coming from my dishwasher. read more
