While the gates were installed quickly, two of them were installed such that the fork latch rubs against the post when open, making it hard to close the latch. fenced. The portion of our fence near our driveway was damaged due to the high winds in mid-February 2023. I won't go into great detail except to state that fence needed repairs as some of the wooden boards broke/cracked, and parts of the foundation became unstable. I contacted B&L fencing via Yelp, and although his response was 1-2 weeks after the initial quotes request, I did appreciate Brad's message: "Aloha. We could help with that." I sent Brad some pics of the damaged fence, and thankfully we were able to set up a time on the same day so he could view the fence. He was very prompt, and we appreciated his friendly demeanor and "local" attitude about wanting to help out others. He took some pics and measurements, answered our questions, and he was on his way. He sent an estimate later that evening. After taking a few days to think over our options, I contacted Brad about proceeding with the fence repairs. NOTES 1. Half of the payment was made before the initial repairs as a deposit, with the remainder due upon completion of the repair. 2. We were able to schedule a date for the repairs about 1.5 weeks from the date Brad first inspected the fence. 3. Brad and his associate, Benji (spelling?), took about 3-4 hours to complete all of the repairs/replacement of the fence. And again, the length or portion of fence they worked on was about 20 feet-ish. 4. All payments made via check. 5. The estimate/price included costs for labor and materials, as well as disposal of all garbage/materials. I think the "before" and "after" photos I've posted speaks clearly on the pride and workmanship of Brad and his company. My mom and I were very satisfied with the repairs and end product. We needed just under 100 ft of chain link fence and 5 gates. Some of the gates needed to be installed in existing concrete. Also some of the locations of the fence we wanted would have some gaps because the post couldn't butt up against the wall we were getting close to. Brad and his two coworkers did an outstanding job. Our property is already fenced off except at the entrance to the driveway. Because our house dog occasionally gets out and runs off the property, We needed to get a gate / fence installed. Called around for estimates at the usual commercial companies, but they either cost too much, wanted to upsell to a bigger rolling gate, or just weren't interested in such a small job. We were thinking of doing it ourselves, but - I think that would have been a bad idea - since we have no experience and the driveway slopes up immediately as you enter it. So we looked around Yelp and found these guys! They looked like a small outfit and the reviews were good. I called Brad Like and he was very kind and enthusiastic. We set an appointment to meet at the house for measurements, etc. He said, no problemo, just need to adjust the swing of the gates so it 'leans' into the slope as it travels. I didn't know what he meant, but knew it wasn't a straight 'flat' swing. He got back with an estimate in a week or so, we agreed on the cost (very reasonable) and set the date for the install. It took about two weeks due to their busy schedule - but we weren't in a rush, so no problemo. The day of the install, Brad and his crew came on time and got to work, Benji & Jay were the primary installers and they went at it like real pros! They brought over custom pre-made gate panels! Sized & welded together by the crew! (and I thought they were going to bring pre-fab ones you find at the big box stores) They took about 6 hours, but wow! - with all the digging into the existing concrete, setting the posts, welding and adjustments, they were smooth! And that was the install, mind you, they spent some time making the panels in their shop too! Such a small kine job - but their skill and pride of work really showed! I would use them again if we ever need fencing install or repairs! These guys are the epitomy of 'Local Bradahs' that know their trade and work with pride! I give this B & L 2-stars for communication issues. However, I cannot comment on their execution since it didn't go that far. All the communication was through the yelp platform. Perhaps the service would have been better if I conversed with them over the phone or via email. I requested a quote via yelp. They got back to me right away to schedule a phone consultation. They quoted us more than double the amount and said it would take 3 days to complete. We needed just to connect an area with chain link fencing. Instead of fencing, my grandparents put up wiring held up by wooden posts.
