The young lady at the front counter said it's no longer Ellen's but instead simply FDM-Fort Dick Market. They had everything from the fresh donuts, cinnamon rolls from heaven, fried chicken wings and legs, breakfast burritos made with largest wheat tortillas with huge amounts of all kind of meat and cheese and eggs and potatoes! They also sell everything like soft drinks, coffee from Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Mountain Dew and other favorites. The service was slow until another employee showed up to help out. The amazing thing is when no other restaurant is open, these three ladies are the only game in Crescent City and Fort Dick. Sunday morning is dead everywhere except at the impressive FDM! When I mentioned it to the cashier that the total seemed very high and asked for the price of the eggs specially she froze and then teared the receipt in half when pulling it of the cash register and told me it was ripped when I asked for it. Same price at the pump no matter if you use cash or card. 3. Nice credit card machine at pump. 4. Took a peek inside their food mart, but did not purchase anything. They have the standard convenience store products. Not a bad place to stop for gasoline if you are in California. If I was headed to Oregon on Hwy 101, then I would skip this station. Gas prices are lower in Oregon, and they pump your gasoline for you.
