Nathan showed up on time with multiple carpet boards (a wide variety of options that could be ordered within a week or two) and also brought a couple carpet samples that they had in stock that could be installed as soon as the work could be scheduled. My client was military who lived out of state and Nathan was very patient while I took pictures of various samples in various lighting to send my client. He was not pushy at all. The tenants who had just moved out did a real number on the flooring (pet damage) so carpet and other flooring needed to be ripped out, Kilzed and replaced along with some sections of trim. The owners communicated with my client and ended up doing all of the above work. My client picked one of the floor samples they had in stock and the price was very reasonable, and they started the work within a week or so (very fast in this day and age when it is hard to find a trustworthy, reasonably priced contractor with availability). The carpet looked very nice! It appeared a few rooms had not been vacuumed fully after the work was completed so I reached out to the company and one of the owners personally went to the house that evening to vacuum. I was very impressed by that. She was very nice about it too. I was getting ready to recommend this company to another client of mine and noticed their rating had dropped so reviewed the comments and realized it looks like one "difficult customer" had caused this (and by submitting 2 reviews about the same experience...shady!!) and so I wanted to make it clear that those 2 poor reviews (from the same person according to the business owner) did not in any way reflect the experience I'd had with this company recently. Being a small business owner myself, I know that unfortunately there is a rare circumstance where you can't make someone happy even when you go out of your way to do so. I'd will continue to refer this company in the future to clients of mine and feel confident that they will do a great job at a reasonable price! :)

(I've never seen such a good job before!) Letty did mention that I chose a soft back carpet and that makes a big difference in reducing any damage. The quality of the install was also great. All of the seams are well blended and don't show. There aren't any defects and it looks great! Pretty disappointed in our new flooring. Will say that Dee is the only reason I was happy at any…read morepoint in this transaction! She tried really hard to help whenever she could and was really sweet and polite. But there was just too many issues. The first install team showed up with no masks during covid. When asked to wear them for my safety, they said no, citing that they don't work according to WHO (really?). They left and I called the store. The sub was claiming to them that he has a lung condition. Doesn't match with his story to me and doesn't excuse the 2 other guys who weren't wearing them and said they didn't even have any. The second install team came the next day and what was supposed to be a 2 day job turned into 5 because they were down 1 guy and this one worked SLOW. Multiple times they scratched the new floors when moving our appliances which we paid them to do assuming they wouldn't scratch them. Passive aggressive attitude was given when asked to fix it or he just covered it up so I wouldn't see until later. In some instances he just marked the floor with a black sharpie and didn't even try to make it blend. There's a poorly cut edge under the stairs where the edge of the board is visible where the carpet on the stairs starts. Found it with my foot while vacuuming and really surprised I didn't cut myself. Multiple boards are not clicked in properly. One has a cut from one side to another that I'm being told by another of their subs is part of the texture, but no other board in the entire 900 Sq ft of lvp is that way and no other contractor that has seen it agrees. Just looks like another deep scratch being covered up. There are 2 boards with chips in them. And to top it all off, when I asked the sub to fix an entire row of boards during the job because they weren't clicked in properly, he went outside and got on the phone and started using the f word in my reference telling someone that he had to redo the whole living room because of a f'n scratch. My husband and 2 year old got to hear the whole thing from the open garage. Our fridge was dented (which the company says they've never done and wouldn't acknowledge it was their fault even though the sub told me it was, and they did absolutely nothing about it), they threw away quarter round we were supposed to reuse so we had to go buy new quarter round, and all of our baseboards were broken which they claim they said it would happen and it was in their contract that they won't fix (I was sent the contract and do not see that language). They paid for new baseboards but I still had to pay for install and painting which cost me an extra 1k for another company to do it, much better than what the crappy sub wanted to charge me in cash under the table. Staples left in the carpet and in the grass, pieces of flooring left all over my yard, they stole our broom that looked like theirs but in much better condition (which they said they returned but never got it back).... The company sent out another sub to look at the issue with boards being being clicked in wrong and the chips and crack. He didn't wear a mask except for the moment I opened the door and since the base had already been installed, he said he would have to take it all off to fix it right but other boards may be damaged in the process. Not the answer I wanted to hear so at this point, I just give up trying to fix it if that's all the company can offer me. All in all, we'll never recommend this company to anyone. Most of it has to do with the subs crappy work but I'm really bummed about how little the company seemed to care about fixing the problems (other than Dee). Really thought abbey carpet was a good name but very disappointed.
