But it was just one hunk of hair on the left side of my head that I couldn't get it right. It just doesn't blend as nice as the rest of the cut, it's longer and thicker. To be fair, in my 45 years as an adult there has only been one stylist who got my hair right the first time; it always needs to be corrected in that area. My difficulty lies in the fact that over the last 3 days I've made 3 contacts to the salon to correct my hair; an email and 2 voicemails. I have time constraints because we are temporarily down to one vehicle which I did explain in the email and one of the voicemails. I also said I don't need a full service, just please blend this one area. On the day of the cut the Jamila was distracted and hurried - she wasn't who I scheduled with, it was her scheduled day off, and she was late for a video interview. I spent $87.50 of hard-earned money on a cut, style, eyebrow wax, and tips. No one contacted me to see what can be worked out. Totally ghosted. Not professional.

I went in yesterday at 5:30 did a basic pedi (perfectly done) & then a mani. I usually have press ons because it's more affordable & I can grow out my nails. I just had soaked off and removed a set & my nails had a little residual glue & were fairly brittle but my cuticles were nice & well kept.... The woman who did them was in a rush & I was told it's her birthday so I was like okay totally fine like let's get you home to your family! She was looking around not paying attention & cut my cuticles/nail walls so badly I was bleeding. The polish was overflown, uneven & she skipped a coat on one hand. I didn't make a fuss bc I didn't want her to get in trouble especially on her birthday but wow they were awful & my fingers are still throbbing. I came in to get them fixed & had to do tips bc of how filed down they were & was charged 20 to do dip & extensions but I only did dip & extensions bc of the nubs & overly filed/uneven nails. It was quite painful getting them redone & she did glitter for free which is nice but personally if I hurt someone that much I wouldn't be charging a dime & would apologize. The woman who did my nails last night stood next to her the whole time & they were chatting which was uncomfortable in my opinion she also didn't apologize once& they chuckled whenever I winced or pulled my hand back out of pain. She cut way more than we had agreed to, and apparently layering it meant that she cut off half the length of my hair in front, basically making it look like I have short hair. The transition to the long hair in the back looks absolutely awful. It took me years to grow my hair this long, and she cut it without me knowing or agreeing to it. It's going to take years to get back to the way it looked before. When going in to freshen things up you don't want to have to wear a ponytail for months because you're embarrassed of how it looks.
