These guys are amazing! I've been here about a dozen times now but this time I decided to buy a big permanent fish family member and the experience was incredible! I wanted a female cichlid and the owner and one of the helpers personally helped me net and sex all the cichlids for me. It took about half an hour to do and they were happy to help me the entire time! They didn't have to go through all their stock like that just to help me find 1 fish but they did! Finally the right fish store for me! Have visited so many in NE Houston the past two weeks and everything the 5 star google reviews said about this place were on point. Great selection of healthy well-cared for fish and tanks without the showroom and high-end vibes like Fish Gallery Houston and Woodlands and that is reflected in the prices. But it was Anthony that made my almost at closing time experience really worth the visit. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. They happened to have just 1 rummy nose tetra on hand at the time but it was so healthy and gorgeous and displayed beautiful color. Not like the more stressed and pale rummys i have seen at Petsmart and the sad shape of them at TAP on Stuebner last Saturday. Same with their platinum angels. Gorgeous and healthy, and Anthony even helped explain how to sex them because i want a M/F for my pair when its time. My tank isn't ready to stock yet but when it is this will be where i get my fish for sure. read more

NEW OWNERS- Extremely rude Owners. Argued with me about a CRAWFISH that was sold to my fiancé for $12.99. ( I could eat a whole pound for that price) Lady told us that it was a lobster and could swim with fish. When we put it in our tank it ATE all our fish overnight. When I called to tell the lady she argued with me. Took the crawfish to Petsmart to verify it was a crawfish and NOT a lobster and that it CANNOT go in a tank with fish because the fish will die. RUDE NEW OWNERS AND TERRIBLE SERVICE. They refuse to pay for the fish their crawfish killed because of their unintelligence. I was very disappointed with the new ownership. I realize that they are trying to remodel the store, but they should work with their customers as well. bought two saltwater fish ( $50.00), that did not live til I could get them to Conroe. Never even had the chance to acclimate them, they were dead before I opened the bag. Owner's comment, "Bring them back in next time you come and MAYBE you can get SOME store credit." I was a faithful customer to Sac and his sister for 14 years, but I will not be back to THIS store again. read more
