Great pizza! Low cost. The workers are always friendly at the pizza window for pick up. Only change in the past year or so is the crust is almost missing on most of the pizza. I've had a few not good pizzas in the past year and a half I had to take a break from them. I can tell something has changed. Still really want to stick around. read more

Yes, I'm serious. Most didn't offer slices (after lunch), but BC had slices, and great service too. Slightly sketchy character outside asking me for money, but I expect that from Detroit. Or anywhere these days. #Capitalism Nice baked crusty taste. Thick cheese, saucier than your mother last night, and just one of the simplest, best incarnations of American pizza I've ever had. Comparable to the best versions in Buffalo. Most Yelpish locals & all tourists don't get it, or appreciate it. Thick, doughy pizza bread, hearty homemade tomato sauce, thick layers of cheese, with greasy-ass pepperoni as the crown on the King that is Detroit Style, on the throne that is delicious dough, of the kingdom that is Pizza. So put that in your oven and bake it. Detroit knows how to pizza, and BC's knows better than most. Local standards are sky-high, Buffalo is the only other place on that level. Funnily enough the pizza in Detroit - much like that in Buffalo - is best found south of the city. Morons will tell you that there is no South Detroit and that Journey were wrong, but there really is. It's called Downriver, specifically Allen Park. It's technically Southwest of the downtown, but it's South enough. I highly recommend BC's (this place - my fave), Bella, Paul's, and the Allen Park location of local chain Primo's. Always skip the national chains, especially when in Detroit. Yes NYC has 4 of my 5 "best slices". But in terms of overall excellence, nothing comes close to the consistent standards of Buffalo and Detroit. And in Detroit, this is the #1. For me. So far. Bear in mind (yes, I'm thinking of a bear - hint: whichever way it turns, it is facing south - what bear is it), it's not for hipster healthy locally sourced gluten free stuff. For that, head to Williamsburg and stop hogging Yelp and ruining everybody's authentic cuisines. And if it's scary = Beastly's Pizza. In South Africa? Biko's Pizza. In Bavaria? Beemer's Pizza. Owned by Road Runner? Beep's Pizza. Owned by Donald Duck? Beak's Pizza. And if it were owned by the human lovers of those two aforementioned owners, it'd be Bestiality's Pizza. read more

BC's is an old staple in the neighborhood that I grew up in. I remember my family ordering pizza from BC's from when I was younger. I've ordered from here about 3 times in the past 3 years since moving back to the east side of the state. I recently ordered this last weekend. I ordered a small BC's special - Pepperoni, Ham, Onion, Green Pepper, Mushroom (Round). I will say that I wasn't as pleased with the taste like I have been in the past. The pizza was ok; but I didn't care for the sauce. And it tasted bland to me. Maybe this was an off day, Bc usually I would swear by BC's. But I just didn't care for it. Overall, nice neighborhood pizza place, fast service, clean. So I would definitely still recommend this pizza place. But I just didn't care for the BCs special pizza. Wow! I've been in and around the Downriver area for almost 8 years now, and hadn't ever tried B.C.'s Pizza before last night. Ordered to half squares, and two types of bread to take to a party. It was fantastic. Everyone loved it. The meat lovers was very flavorful, and the plain pepperoni had so much cheese it was amazing. I don't normally like "bready" pizza, but this was so good I didn't mind having the thick crust. I'll definitely be back. read more

Worst pizza ever, Very disappointing. I ordered the BC special which is supposed to have several toppings, and this pizza had no toppings besides a blob of cheese. It was the worst ever, and I will never order from BC's again. I didn't bother calling them to complain about my pizza because the last time I ordered from them which was 20 years ago and that's why I stopped ordering. After getting a burned pizza from Sportsman's, and then a burnt pizza with "moist" toppings and hardly any sauce (from Sportsman's), I decided to try B.C.'s. They are awesome and definitely my new pizza spot on Fort St. They have green olives, which is always a plus. Breadsticks and pizza sauce are both on point, and the pizza isn't burned. read more

Ok i tried them again and i have no problem admitting when im wrong so let me apologize for my previous review! This time around i ordered a Italian Sub and a slice of well done Pizza and a Chef Salad. Lets start with my slice of pizza, now before i didn't ask for it well done like i did this time but that well done is everything! This slice was so good this time around and im now a believer so no more Happy's Pizza my last pizza from Happy's they didn't even cook the pizza nor did they cut it but why cut a raw pizza i wrote a letter to management about my order I've yet to receive a response or an apology of any kind from Happy's Pizza smh. Now to the sub it was a good and the bread taste homemade not sure if they make it there or what but its a good sub and a nice size. I like that they melt the cheese on the bun for you. Ok lets talk about this salad, a small salad can feed at least 3 or 4 people so if you order a pizza and a small salad you are all set for 3 to 4 people with this salad. The salad is so big i couldn't even tackle it right now im still full off the slice and the sub so guess what's for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. Yes i was very happy with my food this time around and oh my delivery guy was super fast like i got my food within 20 mins of my order and this was around lunch time. This pizza is the best downriver. Probably the best in Michigan. I've never had a single complaint about the food or service. The cheese is so thick that you would think you ordered double cheese. I usually don't eat crust on pizza but the crust on bc's pizza is different. So flavorful and crunchy. Always made to perfection. Their salads are huge and packed with toppings. My boyfriend and I are ranch freaks and the ranch here is also the best! I don't know why it took me so long to review this place. It's my favorite. read more
