Honestly they got good pizza. Just a shame they raised prices when the new owners took over. It was our go-to place because it was pretty cheap. Ordered a pizza that was only $7-8, few weeks later the new owners took over and the very same pizza cost us about $14. Yes same Grinder Bread made in house. Got 2 Grinder's full size both with Double Meat only 3 bucks more. The Cheeseburger Grinder had some small ball's of flavorless Meat. The Club which we ordered hundreds of from old owner is just ok now. Use to be Ham Turkey and Bacon, now Yemeni owners NO PIG it Halal. So only Turkey and Beef Bacon just don't work. The deep Fryer not approved to use yet, means I couldn't get Jalapeno Poppers and Fries. A few customers in order area says What No Ham or Pepperoni won't be back. This 2 nd Halal Pizza place to open Downriver last couple months. I need my PIG PORK meat for flavor, just not for Downriver. read more

They were amazing under the last owners but the new owners are halal so absolutely no pork. My go to toppings are bacon and ham and I always got a BLT grinder; not anymore. Tried Pizza Connection for the first time the other day it was pretty good! They have a really good deal for their Grinders - $12.99 for any 2 full size Grinders - and they are HUGE - 16 inches, I think. We ordered 2 Grinders and an order of hot wings. The wings were really good! I got the BLT.... it probably would have been really good if they didn't forget the tomatoes...I was a little bummed, but oh well, it was still alright. My boyfriend got the steak and cheese Grinder - he's from Philly so its hard to impress him with a Philly Cheese Steak, but he said it was really good. Delivery guy was really nice, food was good, prices were reasonable... we'll be a returning customer! :) read more

Do not order delivery from them! They told us it would be 30-45 minutes. It was 1 1/2 hours! The calzones were soggy and our breadsticks were under baked. Whenever we have picked up our pizza orders it's been good but the service today was unacceptable. Especially since we live literally 5 minutes away. We will never order delivery again or their calzones. The service and food ruined our night. read more

Used to like this place but today there was an old man at the counter. I guess he was hard of hearing. Got my order all wrong. Ok they were willing, sort of willing to make it right after he argued that he wrote what i told him . insisted that i said leave yhe mushrooms off. What?? Mushrooms are my favorite thing. Anyway. Worse thing was getting it home. Yucky. Wheres my cheese. My mayonnaise. No tomatoes. Oh and banana peppers. Need them. Love this business and I will support it whenever I'm in downriver! the owners are sweet, quick and efficient; i've never had a problem with my order. I have been going here for years, and just called to get a delivery at 11:10pm the kid on the phone said they didn't deliver anymore. i asked why not and he asked me for my address. i gave it to him and he said that's a little too far." So if i lived closer he would deliver? im confused, i would have tipped him 5$ plus my meal, giving the business and delivery guy extra cash to go home with... This is sickening! Lazy! Ignorant! The stuffed crust pizza (which I don't think is on the menu is incredible, just ask for it) but the regular pizza beats out the other places too. My boyfriend loves the grinders, the ribs and their dinner salads. I usually get the 1/2 chicken dinner, BBQ style. It is always tender and flavorful. The roasted potatoes that come with it seem to have an herb seasoning and are always sprinkled with a little parmesan, which I love. The prices are spectacular for the amount of food you get and the flavor. I passed by this place for years heading down Southfield for years without giving it a second thought until once it was late and my boyfriend was hungry and it was the only place he could find open. We instantly regretted that we never gave it a try until then. I have friends from all over metro Detroit that are a bit on the snobby side. When I have get togethers and they come down here and slum it with me downriver I get take out from Pizza Connection and everyone is just blown away that it is just a cheap take out place and not a higher end eat in restaurant with take out.
