We enjoyed 3 great meals of chicken and ribs. Everything was made as ordered and delicious. Counter and cashier very nice.

Food is always hot and delicious. Staff was friendly and prompt. Eat here very often with very similar experiences.

Great ribs. High recommend and great service. They should not put the Cole slaw in with the hot food. The only downfall I have.

Ribs were tender but not like a regular BBQ rib more like a slow cooked oven rib that is braised in the end with sauce to make it more like rotisserie or barbecued backyard style, but definitely lacking in the authentic mess. Surface was very pleasant very courteous and on time. read more

Let's just be real about bar b q. This place the aromas are good and they might captivate you. But remember you all I am from Texas so here it gos. I did not care to much for the slap of ribs I don't know what kind of rub they use. My taste buds where screaming for bar b q and conveniently this place is around the corner. I did not like the taste it seem like it didn't even have that smoky taste. The inside definitely needs an upgrade I felt like it wasn't sanitary. The ribs really did not come off the bone , I also feel like they boiled them first before they smoked them. I really cannot figure out why Michigan don't 12 hour smoke their meets. They serve no pecan pie or peach cobbler I think bar b q is not the same with out them. One other thing I notice the service isn't friendly enough they acted just like slap taste. However being this is the 3rd time I have tried this place there is remedy. Buy the slab without sauce and when you get home put it on air fryer. It's my take but understand bar b q when comes to it I know can brutal in reviews but I am fair. Hopefully this place doesn't start serving brisket. That is all. Zukin's is the best place to get ribs Downriver in my opinion. I've come here quite a few times. It can get busy at times so I would call in the order. No where to eat inside just carry out. Good service here too. I recommend this restaurant. read more

Got my food after about a 25/30 min wait, drove home (took less than 5 minutes) and my food is ICE cold and literally burnt to a crisp, like it had been sitting out for quite awhile. The service also was really crappy, despite me asking the server to raise her voice so I could hear her over the kitchen noise, she did not and gave me attitude for the rest of my ordering. Zukins is a downriver staple. I don't know anyone that doesn't love this place. They have the best carryout (it's only carryout). Prices have gone up since I was last here, but it's all good. The shrimp, ribs, bbq chicken, perch, Friday night fish special, fried chicken, Pu Pu platter (a mix of different appetizers) and pizza are all delicious. A really decent Downriver takeout option. Zukin's is a takeout-only joint serving ribs... but also sandwiches, and chicken, and seafood, and pizza(?). I appreciate the effort to be everything to everyone, but let's stick with the ribs, shall we? Rib dinners come with your choice of the short or long end, or rib kebabs, with fries, coleslaw and a roll. I wasn't super impressed with the fries last time we got them (underseasoned) but the coleslaw was solid and the roll was functionally an edible napkin so no complaints there. The ribs themselves are fall-off-the-bone tender and you get a good serving in the short end meal. I believe they're steamed or baked--personally I prefer smoked ribs, but these are great for what they are. You can also order catering-style, which we did recently for Christmas Eve. We got a huge tray of ribs in two-rib portions which was perfect as part of a buffet-style dinner and resulted in leftovers for Christmas day. Pro tip: They reheat well covered in foil in a low oven. read more

We ordered the sampler meal where you get a mixer of everything; shrimp, ribs, chicken, egg rolls, onion rings, coleslaw, and a roll. The food was ordered for delivery, and everything came fresh, hot, and delicious. Over the phone customer service is okay, but could be better if the call wasn't rushed, before I was done telling the customer service rep everything the call ended lol I guess they were busy, and It's not always consistent with the food temperature, and quality; but for the most it's a really good place to eat. This place has a little bit of everything, barbecue, seafood, deserts, chicken, pizza....They have a lot of traffic running in and out. The parking lot was full and they were busy. They require mask and only ask that 5 people be in the restaurant at one time. There is no dine in option there. I highly, highly, highly recommend calling ahead and placing your order. It will make your life much easier. I did not call ahead and had to wait about 10-15 minutes for my order. You can wait in your car and they will bring it out to you or you can wait in the restaurant. I ordered the rib kabobs that I heard so much about with fries. I do not know what meat that was (ribs prepared in a totally different way then I am use to), but it was surprisingly delicious. The sauce really set off the flavor. The fries were good too, but it is hard to mess up fries. The plater also comes with a roll and a small side of cole slaw. People understandably rave about this place with good reason. My friend and I went here on a late Sunday afternoon and there was a steady stream of foot-traffic coming in for order and pick-up. It only offers take-out and delivery, no inside seating. The menu is quite extensive with a good selection of BBQ chicken, fried chicken, BBQ ribs, fish, frog legs, and pizza. Each of us had combination plates, both with ribs and then one with fried chicken and one with bbq chicken. The combination plates come with fries, coleslaw, and a roll. Prices were relatively reasonable, about $16.50 per meal. The dinners came with four very meaty ribs, along with 1/4 chicken (half breast, wing, thigh, and leg). The ribs were the star of the show, falling off the bone tender and very flavorful. The chicken was good. The fries come tucked away underneath the slab or ribs and chicken, and ended up being a bit soggy by the time I got to them. The slaw was pretty standard. Overall, a very good value, excellent quantity, friendly/fast service, and very tasty. read more

The prices were unbelievably inexpensive (I hope they keep it that way). It's not a smoke house or grilled bbq. It's a mouth watering, slow cooked, falling off the bone oven cooked nice flavor bbq. I have never tried the pizza and the seafood not bad. Awesome service!!! it seems like a family ran business and a ole school walk-in take out with a few video games to play while you wait. Carryout or delivery only here. I order here once a week atleast it's so good. Awesome bbq!!! My husband always gets the rib kabob dinner and I get the short end rib dinner. All the dinners come with frys, coleslaw, and a roll. Fish dinners are really popular here on Fridays they have a special 5.65 (perch) it's really good. Thursdays and Fridays are the busiest but they get you in and out pretty quickly so the waits not bad. I've had pizza from here it's always good. Was very disappointed. Ordered long end rib dinner. What I received was 5 small dried out bones no meat clinging on bones.. Humm.. I thought 8 bones were required to make a half slab rib dinner...plus fries were left over bits an pieces I didn't have a car . Or I would have drove back there showed them what they did to me..I had to order delivery.. a phone call. Would not have mattered to them. Never had bad experience to this extent there... So please check your orders before drivers that deliver leave your home so if not what you ordered you can correct it in front of them.. my mistake.. but most of all.... they Knew better when they put dinner together... Great ribs! They were very tender, fall off the bone ribs. We asked for double fries instead of coleslaw. The original portion of fries would have been enough fro 2 people split. The fries we got instead of coleslaw was a much smaller portion, so I would probably keep the slaw next time. There wasn't a lot of sauce on the ribs. Plenty though! No more was needed. However, I.
