I was eager to try this bakery, despite the mixed reviews. We arrived before their opening hours, and were greeted on schedule. We met a pleasant attendant who answered our questions and served us. I requested freshly baked cupcakes because I wanted my cupcakes very moist. Leftover baked bakes goods could likely lose the texture I wanted. One of the cupcakes and the slice of cake I got were moist and good. Later on, I only ate half of a cupcake and left the rest. My husband didn't do the same vetting. Unfortunately, he didn't finish his cupcake because he found it dry. His cupcake was baked the day before. I went there today to get a couple cupcakes for my mom and me. My mom can't have red dye so I told the girls what mom wanted and they helped me. My mom picked out an Oreo cupcake and she was in heaven. I said mom what do you think. She said it's delicious and I will happily drive 6 miles to get more. This is the best place to get cupcakes! There is a large variety and they are delicious.I have been to the store a few times and this time I earned a free cupcake from their rewards program. I was asked if I wanted the free cupcake now or later ...no hesitation...I will take it NOW! I had not noticed the alcohol infused cupcakes for some unknown reason. Perhaps memorized but the other cupcake choices. Today, it was chocolate raspberry, cookie butter, carrot cake, sweet potatoe, caramel, hennesey and baileys for the alcohol infused. You can alao buy cake slices. Today strawberry cake and red velvet were available. I bought the red velvet which is mois with rich flavor and lots of creamy delicious icing. Apparently, B Cupcakes is the place to B! Seriously, this place was on and poppin last light. I was actually excited to walk in and find a line because that usually means the place is something special. Proved true! To begin, the selection is greater in size than that of any other bakery I've been in. There must've been at least 20 options available. Picky eaters, if you can't find a suitable flavor, something is wrong with you. So the hardest part of the experience was just deciding on a flavor. They all sounded and looked stellar so I spent my line time choosing wisely. Ultimately I managed to leave with only two. I could've eaten a dozen but I refuse to buy an entire new wardrobe due to weight gain lol. My two flavors wound up being sweet potato and key lime. My first impression of these cupcakes was that they are generous in size, especially for the moderate $3.00 price tag. These cupcakes are larger than average. The box definitely had some weight to it. So anyways, I dug into the key lime first. Now, when I think of key lime flavor, I immediately think of something light and refreshing. This cupcake practically nailed it. The cake itself was light but moist. The buttercream ratio was spot on. Not too much, but definitely enough to appease my buttercream obsession. The only improvement I would suggest for this cupcake would be to up the lime flavor! It's definitely there but subtle or slightly muted. They could zest that bad boy up a bit and I'd be there for it. But it's still a strong cake. I'm calling it a 4.9/5. After a swish of water, and a cleansed palate, I was ready to dive into the sweet potato. One bite in and I knew that it was a winner. The cake itself was full of sweet potato flavor and gave me major fall vibes even in the Florida heat. The cream cheese frosting complimented the spices of the cake wonderfully. I ate this cupcake so slowly because I wanted to savor it forever. I'm already planning to make these cupcakes a part of my thanksgiving table. Far superior to any pie I've ever had. This one is a 5/5. If it wasn't already obvious, I'll be here on the reg. Desserts are a game and I'm the mvp. I know a good one when I eat it. I'm already planning which flavors I'm doing next time. I went to a few tastings elsewhere and in the process found out via instagram from my venue that B Cupcakes are not just cupcakes they also provide custom cakes including WEDDING CAKES! I worked with Shelia and she was wonderful. She listened to my thoughts and ideas even down to my dad's favorite flavor cake which I wanted to incorporate to honor him since he has passed away. I have been wanting to stop in this place for quite some time. They have an impressive variety of flavors to pick from (minis and regular sized). I was planning to go back and pick up all four of their 21+ cupcakes but I don't know if it'll be worth it now. We got the chocoholic, peanut butter, and white chocolate raspberry. The cupcakes were stale. Looking at the reviews that seems to be a trend. Either super good when fresh or they definitely taste old. With so many cute bakeries in the area I don't know if this one is worth the risk. 2 stars because the woman working there was very friendly and the shop and variety was excellence. TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN YOUR TEAM I was told they had half off cupcakes on Tuesday's ($2.85???) so I thought why not.., probably should've NOT. Icing was hard (almost chip your tooth hard). This always means stale. Cupcake('s) were dry (again, always means stale). Could this be possible? My thought is 1/2 off cupcakes on Tuesday due to over production threw the weekend (higher volume) which as a General manager for a reputable restaurant with a dessert shop for 10 plus years I believe to be as valid as any. But half off and they were regular size cupcakes??? Shame on you to charge your (one and only time) guest's $5.70 for this product. If you have as many reviews as I read that claim HIT OR MISS and STALE PRODUCT and it's still happening... this tells me they know how to make a cupcake just don't know how to manage a business clearly. Total disappointment. Do yourself the favor and waste you calorie count somewhere else and stay away as there are other businesses that actually put effort in the product you receive and quality checks, this one doesn't. Note to owner not management, you're lacking two of the single most important steps to a successful food business FOOD QUALITY AND SERVICE point blank. Listen, when I tell you I like sweets but I'm not a sweet fiend lol but these cupcakes OMG it was like you get one taste and want to eat all of them! I had passed this place a good deal of times because I'm not into sweets like that but it was my sons birthday and he loves sweets and we wanted a little something different than the traditional birthday cake from the local Publix. Even though Publix cake is great! We wanted a specialty type feel. The day I went it was a Tuesday and it was my lucky day because in Tuesday's they have $2 cupcake day! Needless to say, I got a dozen lol for myself I ordered the Elvis which is peanut butter and chocolate (the best combination ever) I got a few of their traditional vanilla with sprinkles. You can't go wrong with the tried and true flavor. My kids love sprinkles and they were pretty! I also got some of the strawberry ones which my daughter said was super yummy.
