Pros:Customer service on the phone was great. They did what I wanted and I was pleasantly surprised to see them each individually wrapped! It was hard to find at first as it's around the corner, but the inside is so cute and it must be a peaceful place to work. Cons: their card machine was down. So, they are going to charge me later. They also didn't show me the product to make sure I was happy with it. However, I was a little sad with the design. At five dollars a cookie I just was expecting a little more. My cat looks angry. The only redemption is that she was kind of a sassy cat. But they didn't even put a mouth to make it look like it was smiley. And I was hoping for more almond shaped cat eye looking eyes. The way the whiskers by the eyebrows are make her look angry. While she was sassy, she wasn't that angry. Lol. I was thinking maybe they would look more like the Japanese designs with like a happy cat face. Like the anime cartoons. I would order from them again, but I would probably be a little bit more specific with the design. I thought I was pretty specific, but obviously not enough. I also noticed that the white whiskers had green frosting mixed in with it from the green eyes. Meaning they used a dirty tip for the design or somehow blended the colors together. I was also hoping for a brighter Green since she had such a big bright green eyes. At five dollars per cookie I just thought the design would be a little sweeter. read more

I recently had a work event that ordered cookies with our names on them as place cards! They were super adorable and soooo tasty!!! Tasty enough that I went for a little drive to College Park to check out their store front. It's a cute spot that has cookies available in the case and a $2 oppsies bin. I was lucky and found a cookie of Michael Jackson's jacket that was left over. My son lovvvvvvvved it!!!!!!! I got a couple other cookies as well. Found this bakery while shopping next door and decided to stop in. The girl at the counter was super nice and personable. They offer a variety of grab and go cookies and designs as well as preorders for specific celebrations. I decided to grabs an "ooops" cookie to taste. We were doing a Wine Walk and the store was participating and decided to check it out. We were not only greeted with a nice cocktail sample but the girl (not sure if she was the owner) that greeted us was nice, friendly, attentive and more than happy to answer any questions. The store is cute and they mostly focus in custom orders but there is a counter with cookies that you can buy from. We got the sugar cookies and the seasonal pumpkin spice and that was my favorite! I love this cute little bakery in the heart of college park! I actually started following southern home bakery on Instagram years ago before they officially opened a store. I was mesmerized by how skilled the artistic bakers were in their designs. The owner and bakery staff are super sweet and helpful. I just stopped into the new shop for the first time today and picked up 10 cute premade decorated Christmas cookies. The cookies are pretty big and are around $5-$6 per cookie. First and foremost, of all the decorated sugar cookie companies around Orlando, southern home bakery is the most skilled in terms of artistry (in my opinion). The cookies also taste delicious too, not chalky and bland like some others. I love that they have premade cookies to go! I'm a last minute kind of person, so this helps make it look like I actually planned ahead when I gift these to people lol Additionally, they also sell really cute bakery items and gift sets! Lastly, they have an "oopsie" pile of cookies that honestly look perfect but have an imperfection (design flaw, icing flaw, spelling error, etc.) that they sell for $2! So thankful that I found this little cute cookie shop in college park. All of their cookie designs are perfectly handmade and fresh. The ladies are super nice and packaged everything with care. Pricing for each cookie ranges but mine were $5 a piece. It's a little pricey for a sugar cookie BUT you're paying for the quality and skill that this team has. So if you're looking for something to be absolutely perfect for a gift or event then you should come here. Also, I will add that their sugar cookies are not that chalky texture that you normally see in a sugar cookie. This was a surprise find that we discovered after visiting St Nick's Holiday Shoppe next door. We walked in and the cookies displayed in the cases are works of art cut out cookies themed for the Fall, Christmas and just for fun. All of the cut outs are individually wrapped in clear packaging. These are hand decorated and artist quality yet still priced to easily afford. They also had several different flavors of non cut outs and today we tried pumpkin cookies, snickerdoodles and three different cot out cookies. Cookie Cousins; I've never before heard of this place, we just happened to stumble upon it while trying to walk off our dinner in the Edgewater area. Off the bat it seems like more of a place you'd think about if you were planning to do a bake day with friends and needed a location to cater to that. They have a cute kitchen play area for kids, and some other kid stuff that makes me think that again; great place for kids activities to get them interested in baking at an early age, but not so much a place to stop by for confections. When you get down to the actual cookie, I think $2 is a bit steep for a simple cookie. It's not especially large or doesn't have anything in particular that warrants the price tag in my opinion. It's true that there are some cookies in the case (which may or may not be more expensive than the plain cookies; I don't know, I didn't ask) with artistic designs and they do stand out and look very beautiful, but I would say it's more decorative than for actually eating, like if you were having a party and wanted to give your guests a pretty treat. I left feeling like Cookie Cousins is more of a special events kind of place rather than a go to for baked goods. read more

Best sugar cookies ever ! It's the only store I've seen that makes custom designed sugar cookies. Perfect for events or gifts. The cookies themselves were the right consistency. Not too crunchy and not too soft either. The last thing I want is having the cookie fall apart all over me before even taking the second bite. There's not much taste to the cookies, but it goes so well with the frosting. It's the perfect balance The frosting was not too sweet either. It had a dulce de Leche taste. Whatever recipe they use, this cookie is perfect! It looks so cute and tastes soooo good. If calories didn't count, I could eat these all day long. I love the environment of the store. It has a clear glass and you can see the staff decorating the tiny sugar cookies. It's so fun to watch. It makes you appreciate the cookies even more. After posting on social media that they had made cookies for the Taylor Swift concert, I asked if they would have "in store" to which they said "yes." So myself and friends went to pick them up. The very sweet cashier said that they didn't have them until possibly next week and that I could order them ahead of time. Since the concerts are this weekend, that didn't make sense. She also said that their cookie posts aren't available in store that they are mostly to generate interest on social media. If you like something you need to order ahead of time. She then said that they might have some tomorrow. Which confused me because originally it was "next week." I wanted to get a definite answer so the owner came out and when I questioned her about when/if they would be available she also stated it was mostly just for social media. I told her that we had been there before (about 8 months ago) and they didn't have ANY cookies in store and she said "this conversation is not productive." The cookies are absolutely BEAUTIFUL but they taste dry and are unflavorful. I was with my cousin and sister when we stopped in here to take a look at this place, we were surpised at the inside witch had cookies and in the back they had kids slaving to make them fresh cookies. Just kidding in the back is a section for the parents to rent for the kids to learn to make cookies and it was pretty cool so see it and though what a great idea and catchy name. The cookies are good a bit on the expensive side but you can tell they are made there and fresh so worth the price if you think about it. I have been buying custom cookies here for clients for the past 10 years. Ever since the new owners have taken over, the service has completely gone downhill. The upped the pricing. They upped the minimums on orders. They have upped the wait time on orders. To make things worse, they have messed up my order on 4 occasions! The second time I went back after an order was messed up, I asked that they double check to make sure our logo was the correct color. That particular time, our logo was correct, but the client logo was incorrect. I had a presentation to give the next day and was planning to bring the cookies to the presentation. They told me they could have them ready in 5 days. In my opinion, this was unacceptable since I had already waited a week for the order. Obviously, that wasn't going to work. The 3rd time, our logo was printed incorrectly again. The 4th and final time, when I came to pick up the order, it was the wrong logo all together. I didn't get an apology from the manager, nor did the manager come to talk to me during any of these incidents. I am going to be placing my orders with Cookies by Design in the future. It is so gross. If zero stars or even negative stars was an option that would be my choice. The chocolate chip cookies taste like absolutely nothing. The sprinkle cookie tastes like they were trying to poison us, everyone spit them out that got them. The frosted cookies while cute still taste like you're gonna get type 2 diabetes from licking it. This is the 3rd time I have purchased logo'd cookies from Cookie Cousins. I spoke to the young lady on the phone, which was very helpful and had a great attitude. We came up with a very cute design where the logo'd cookies would have a different color border for each to match the heart tag. Unfortunately when I picked up my cookies they all had a solid white border and when I questioned the young lady ringing me up. She said verbatim "yeah, no that would of taken too much time" to do the different colored borders. No apologies were given and her nonchalant attitude was highly unacceptable.
