Bar tender was funny, friendly and accommodating. Burger was on point and the onion rings fire. Ordered the James Brown's Black & Blue which was fantastic paired with Horse's Neck.

It just opens the door, turns the lights on, and says, "You hungry or not?" It is designed for food and drink not ambiance. This was one of those spots. The drinks showed up quick enough to make you think they might've already known your order before you sat down. The food was solid in that dependable way--nothing trying to reinvent itself, nothing apologizing for being what it is. Just honest plates doing honest work. Kyle the bartender is a study in modern Southern service industry diplomacy. Not exactly the kind of fellow you'd invite to Thanksgiving, but he kept things moving, kept things correct, and occasionally tried to lace the proceedings with a bit of entertainment--like a man juggling while also reading the room and half the room's thoughts. In the end, it's not a place you'll write home about in glowing, poetic letters. But it is a place you'll walk out of thinking, "Well... that did just fine." And in downtown Macon, that's sometimes all a man really needed in the first place.

The ambience is so interesting this gave me time to take pictures. Definitely love all the animals and the military commemoration. We ordered our food and went to the salad bar, 63 items on the salad bar, take two plates so you can get what you want and definitely go back for seconds. The very best of the best is the banana pudding. He ordered the porterhouse, I had the filet mignon and my daughter had the hamburger steak. The porterhouse was tender and very tasty, the filet was so delicious and needed no steak sauce or anything. We ordered ours medium rare and the cook did not disappoint, right on the money. My daughter loved her meal also, said it was delicious. I forgot to take pictures of ours it was so good and got his halfway through

The salad bar is the star of the show definitely. Lots of options as well as dessert. The salad bar is kept in a separate section of the restaurant with its own air conditioner so everything is kept nice and cool which was fantastic. You have to go early but be prepared to wait in line for the salad. A LONG line. The food from the menu was okay. Not great.

There are 100 beer taps with a huge variety, one of which was a really tasty IPA. We were taken care of by the two Taylor's, one male, one female, but both were great with which to deal with. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

Well... the burgers look better than they taste. The patty does not have enough beef (or maybe not good quality beef?), which was dry for some reason and somewhat crumbly. Also, I'm meh with most beer, which I feel is the main pro of this place. There are TVs around for those who want to watch the games and drink beer, so I can say I'm most likely not the crowd this place is trying to draw. There are other places to chill with friends that have better food imo. Oh, and the ranch is watery. The chipotle ranch too. Choose a different dipping sauce unless they've changed it since I've last been. I know it's my bad for choosing boneless wings, but if Korean fried chicken places can keep them juicy, so can every other establishment. The ones here are dry. Notably, they do all day happy hour on Sundays. That's fun.
