Decided to try this place out after high reviews and recommendations from repeat customers. We ordered fajitas for two. It was meh. The fajitas came out sizzling, absolute bonus in that. But the rice, beans, and tortillas came out lukewarm. Chunky guacamole was 10 for a tiny portion, was more salsa than avocado. I'm pretty sure the reason why this location was recommended is bc it's within walking distance to our hotel and the group can drink and not drive. read more

After a morning of shopping we came across this restaurant sitting in the corner of a not so busy shopping center. At first glance we thought they might be closed but lucky for us they weren't. They offer a table outside for eating, while we didn't sit there we saw some people sitting out there with their dogs and thought that was nice. Once inside there's a small bar area with the bulk of the tables to the right of the restaurant. Very welcoming environment. I'm not sure if it's family owned but it definitely gives that vibe, everyone was so nice. My fiancé ordered a beer made a certain way and while our waitress Keilly was unable to serve alcohol she went and got someone who could. Keilly was very helpful and sweet. Our drinks / chips and salsa came out quickly while we took a few minutes to scan the menu. I opted for street tacos, I was sooo excited that they have Barbacoa tacos! It seems like I can never find it here in middle Georgia... And these were amazing! I plan to go back just for them. Overall We all really enjoyed our food and are planning to stop in again the next time we are in the WR area. We ordered a good bit of food, a little of everything and had no complaints. This charmingly unassuming eatery was a great find! I was initially in the mood for soul food but after an afternoon of fruitless driving around and bitter disappointment, I transitioned to prepare myself for a Mexican cuisine experience. From the door the staff was so welcoming, personable, friendly and attentive. It set the stage for a pleasant lunch. The warm, fresh tortillas and salsa were so divine I nearly filled up on them, the fresh made guacamole and the refreshing mango margarita I indulged in. My husband's sizzling fajita was hot, fresh, and delicious in addition to generously portioned. My shrimp and chicken tacos were superb. Walked in for a to go order but the two wait staff were amazing. I really wanted a margarita, I am assuming walking margaritas are not a thing in GA. The amazing waiter suggested I sip on one while I wait. Definitely worth it. I ordered chip and "cheese" dip (it is not call queso on the menu, just so you prepare) and a Burrito California. I am from California so this was a no brainer. If it is labeled CA I have to try it. Upcharged for steak, worth it. "Cheese" dip is a little thin but yummy. I had the traditional Heuvos Rancheros breakfast which is two sunny side eggs on top of a fantastic ranchero salsa, served with Mexican rice, beans, and fresh made in house flour or corn tortillas! $8, unbelievable!! Literally the best strawberry margarita and quesadilla I have EVER had. The service was top tier. This is a family owned business and they put love into everything they serve. My friend had the Tacos De Barría and they were also very very good. We live an hour and a half away and would easily make this drive again just for the food. Amazing. I've been here twice now. Both times I've gotten Birria tacos. I also had their margarita. I really enjoyed the tacos here. The meat is high quality and they don't put too much fat in the tacos. The meat is super flavorful and very tender. Lunas tacos have more cinnamon and spices then some other tacos I've had. It's good though. If you don't like cinnamon or other spices then these may not be the Birria Tacos for you. The consome was super flavorful as well and had fresh onion and cilantro in it. The margaritas we had from here were very good. The food was the real start though. The restaurant is small and not super nice inside, but the food is good, well priced, and authentic. This one is a hard review to write. The environment is very small, casual laid back dining which can be super nice. We came in later one evening around 7:40 and made an order to go. No one came in after us and looking around everyone seated already had food and drinks. It took the food a long time to get out to us... much longer than expected for a burrito, nachos, tacos and tenders. The burrito was supposed to come with fries, it didn't. The extra fries we ordered for our kid with his tacos was missing. His order was also totally wrong even though we asked ahead of time for no lettuce and on soft flour. He got lettuce and soft corn. So we had to go back in after already waiting a while. The saving grace was that the food was really good. The nachos were super flavorful. The burrito was very good also. It's hard to say if we would go back or not but the food tasting good might be enough reason to give it another try. Also, the staff was polite. read more

Luna was recommended by someone I met. I took my adult son & daughter. 1.) it was dirty. The menus were disgusting. We washed our hands after holding them. 2.) I don't know how anyone can mess up chips , salsa & queso, but the chips were kind of thick, unpleasant to chew, and covered in oil. The salsa was ok, but the queso was not good. 3.) The chunky guacamole was the absolute worst guac we have ever had. The avocado was not a great texture. It had absolutely no flavor. We asked for salt & pepper, but that didn't help much. 4.) The rice was over cooked and flavorless 5.) the shredded chicken in the chimichangas was flavorless. 6.) the ambiance is dirty and the tv was playing old timey, racist, cartoons in which the characters were in black face. ‍ That was just the cherry on top. 7.) There were only two parties in the restaurant, so it was mostly empty, but our waitress kept ignoring us. All in all, it was a waste of $50 . Our normal mexican place was closed so we tried this place instead and the food was horrible. Don't recommend ordering togo - First they forgot my enchiladas in the bag, the taco salad shell was was completely soggy from soaking wet lettuce and the shell tasted old. The chicken quesadilla looked like it was prepared by a 4 year old and had hardly any cheese. Had an order of chicken taquitos that were not even filled and burnt on the outside. Food was delish. Small place! Young girls working, they were very sweet and attentive: we were there for State wrestling tournament and every restaurant was packed! We tried 5 restaurants and all had 2.5 hour waits! You could tell they were not used to having a full place, but the food came out fast, and it tasted great! I got two orders of Birrias tacos with rice and beans. I called and placed my order to go. The lady that answered was nice and was able to take my order without issues. She said my order would be ready in 10 mins, which I thought was rather quick. But I arrived in about 10 mins and the order was ready. We did take the order to go, and ate right when we got home. The tacos were ok... the cheese was rubbery but the tacos had a good flavor. As well as the consommé, it was good, had a good flavor. It could actually be eating like a soup. The rice and beans were soso, I've had better rice, the rice lacked flavor. But I always add Cilantro and some salsa to my rice. After doing this, the rice was pretty good. The birria tacos comes with 3 tacos. Which are rather big. I was only able to eat one and the rice and beans. The second day I refried the tacos and heated up the consommé. They were better the second day. So I think the cheese was just too cold to be good. I will definitely eat AT the restaurant next time. 4 stars only because the rice lacked flavor. Oh I also got a Horchatta, and this was legit. Very good, you could tell it was homemade, not some mix. read more

We were on a trip and we thought we would drop by and see what Luna Taqueria had to offer. We at down in a rather small dining area which was not crowded when we got there a little past 8 on a Friday night. Nevertheless, we were sat down quickly and before we knew it we were ordering some authentic Mexican cuisine. To begin I must say the salsa was pretty good but the chips in my opinion left a little to be desired. They were not quite salty enough to my preference. We ordered a good variation of different dishes and across the board the food was pretty good. The only gripe I can really find was my beef tacos were a little more on the greasy side. Overall it was a pretty good experience. If we come through here again we will be sure to come back. read more
