We went on a Friday night and it was super busy. We had to wait for about 30 mins to be seated. We ended up sitting out back and it was really buggy. It would have been nice if they'd had some fans or something else to keep the bugs off. The food was good, but I will say that the Cuban cigar portion was incredibly small. I want to start by saying that my first experience at this restaurant was amazing, which is why this second visit was so shocking and disappointing. Unfortunately, the way my complaint was handled has guaranteed that I will never return, and I believe management owes customers a public response regarding both their customer service and their unacceptable "no returns" food policy. The issue was with the French toast. It tasted like plain toasted bread dry, lacking sweetness, and without the soft texture that French toast should have. When we politely brought the issue to the staff's attention and asked for a manager, co-owner Brook Woods came out. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue professionally, her immediate response was that there were "no returns on food." No apology. No offer to remake the order. No effort whatsoever to correct the situation or value the customer experience. She then stated, "French toast is bread," in a dismissive and insulting tone, as if I didn't know what French toast was. My complaint was never that it was bread it was that it tasted like plain toasted bread instead of actual French toast. When I stated that I would never come back, she simply replied "ok" and walked away. I then called her back to explain that her attitude and response were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Only then did she ask what she could do to fix it, but by that point the damage was already done. Customer service should have been the FIRST response, not an afterthought. As a co-owner, you should lead by example. The complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability shown during this interaction was unacceptable. At this point, I believe customers should seriously consider boycotting this establishment until management changes its policy regarding food complaints and starts treating customers with basic respect. No customer should be forced to pay for food that is poorly prepared and then be dismissed when they raise a legitimate concern. I am demanding a response from management regarding this experience, clarification on this "no returns on food" policy, and an explanation as to why customer concerns are handled with such disregard. Until meaningful changes are made, I cannot recommend supporting this business. read more

terrible food and terrible service. I came to this restaurant with co workers and we had to wait and then they didn't bring me silverware or something to drink. I didn't enjoy my food and it was terrible and I told them that I didn't like it. I was still charged for food that I didn't like. I asked her to take it back and she told me that it would not be taken off my bill. Stopped into Yollah for dinner and it was a pretty good experience. Here's a breakdown with everything you need to know: Service - The wife and I came in on a Friday night around 6:30, no reservation but we were able to get a table quickly. We were also greeted by the owner and our waiter was extremely attentive, he was patient with us when we didn't know what to order and even made suggestions when needed. Ambiance - Lay out of the restaurant was nice. Definitely gives me a south beach feel. A lot of space both inside and out and I think it may even have a separate room for private dining groups (may have to call and check). We came during a rainy day so we didn't get to experience the patio area much, but during the spring x summer time, this would be a perfect place to come for a brunch, date night, or just quick lunch. Food - Since we didn't know what to order we just got a little bit of everything: -chicken empanadas: pretty good! Crispy empanadas and the toppings really bring out the flavor of the dish. -fish tacos: tacos were good but the fish tasted much fresher than I liked. Would have liked it a bit more fried but still good. Decent side as well. Could get full off 2/3 with a side. -pork tacos: these tacos were good, pork was cooked well and the toppings truly brought out the flavor in the dish. Decent side as well. The rice was well cooked and the cheese inside gave it a good kick of flavor. Would recommend starting with 4 since they are so big. - Chicken Skewers: the chicken was cooked to perfection on the grill and the skewers were jammed pack with pieces of chicken. The portion size of this dish was great and would certainly recommend this if you want to get full. - Tres Leches cake: We took this to go because we were stuff and wanted to try it later. Tried it later this evening and the cake was delicious! It was very moist and the strawberry and cream paired perfectly with the sponge cake. To avoid it getting soggy I would recommend eating it asap or when it's cold. Our meal overall came to about $75 for two people, which isn't back since we all pretty much had 3 courses. Came here for my first sit down dinner with the ladies from work for our book club! We tried the chips and dip, amazing yucca fries. I had the Cuban cigars... and yummy beef tacos! Our second visit to Yollah this past Sunday as we were passing through on our way to Helen, Georgia. Ordered the meat skewer medium to rare. Sadly it was more rare than as ordered. Could have requested it to be re-done but time was not on our side. The meat was soft, succulent and tasty. The Yukon potato side dish was the best potato dish that I have ever tasted. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her order of empanadas and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was outstanding and the place was buzzing for lunch. This is our go to place when in the area. First time trying Yollah's and overall I enjoyed my visit. The parking lot is unpaved and full of dirt and gravel, so the walk in is rough depending on your shoes. Hosts greeted us warmly when we walked in and were immediately seated. We were told they do not do reservations here, so I was glad to find a seat quickly. Our waiter was Dalton who was pleasant and provided good customer service. We ordered a mimosa, peach bellini, small shrimp and grits, cuban sandwich and the little fried dough balls for sweets. Shrimp and grits were my fave hands down! Good creamy grits, fat juicy grilled shrimp and good cheese all tasted so wonderful. The cuban sandwich was ok, but I probably would not order again. Yollah has been on our list of places to try, but we just haven't been in Macon much lately. We stopped in for Sunday brunch at about 11:45, 15 minutes after they opened. There wasn't a parking space available and every table was full. I knew they had just opened and would need to wait until someone finished eating to be seated, but probably only waited another 15-20 minutes. There is a small seating area to wait inside as well as seating out front (although it was too cold for anyone to sit out front today.) The restaurant is cute with a trendy, but not overly busy decor. It's bigger than it looks, and can get a bit loud. (Nothing out of hand, but I did have trouble hearing our server at times.) There brunch menu has a great variety. We decided to try the Bionacos, Breakfast Skillet, Yollah Shrimp, Patatas Bravas and French Toast. Everything was delicious, a good mix of sweet and savory. I think I was most surprised (in a good way) at just how good the Bionacos was. It was light and delicious! Service was fast and efficient. The atmosphere was a bit upscale yet still relaxed. It's crazy hot this summer but they have a covered patio with ceiling fans and some additional floor fans that can be moved. For appetizers we ordered Avocado Fries and Potatas Bravas. Both were very good; the potatoes were memorable. I recommend both menu items. For the entree, I ordered two Veggie Empanadas and Broccolini. Both were prepared perfectly and seasoned well. Ambiance gets a 100% bc the restaurant and garden seating are adorable. Service gets a 100 % bc our server was super friendly, had a great smile, and was on top of her game. Our appetizer was the trio dips and we enjoyed the chips and queso but the salsa and verde were nothing special. The Poblano Peppers were a huge hit though with 3 in our party. The cookie skillet was OUTSTANDING and honestly the best part of our meal. We paid for four meals, one appetizer and 2 beers and two desserts. Our bill with tip was over $200. I know food prices are sky high right now but I honestly felt like the quality of food was just not up to par with the price. My husband's lobster roll came with no side. Mine came with yellow rice that was just ok. We also had a person order the calamari and it was very tough. We headed to Yollah's to celebrate my friend's crazy good career coup. Neither of us had been there - I was visiting & she lives in Macon - even though it's been open since March 2021. Reservations are only taken for parties of 7 or more. On a Friday at 7:30 pm, the wait was 30 minutes for two people, so we chose to eat at the bar & so glad we did! B/c of course we got to chat it up w/ folks on either side of us. We exchanged fun banter w/ the woman serving our wine, who I can only guess was the owner. The guac was fresh, served w/ a huge bowl of chips. Friend scarfed down her fish taco & I enjoyed steak skewers, marinated in chimichurri sauce (which I learned is parsley, oregano, garlic, olive oil, vinegar & red peppe flakes), on a bed of rice w/ fried plantains. I loved that even though the restaurant officially closes at 8:30 pm, no one was hurrying us out or giving the side eye to leave.
