I think I have been to every location of B. Good in the city but this one is by far the best! Same high quality food and cleanliness of each location but the staff rocks here. I work in Government Center and so this place gets packed wicked quickly. The staff was on their game. My food came out perfect, warm and timely so I could get back to work. There was a customer a head of me who ordered the wrong thing online and was upset and the staff worker (whose name I don't know) worked so well with her. He accommodated her immediately and apologized (even though it wasn't his and probably wasn't the app's fault either, she ordered the wrong thing). I come to this B.Good location for lunch on average 3 to 4 times per week right now. I can't say enough great things about the food and the people who work here. They really do make you feel like family by remembering your name and giving you special gifts as a reward for your patronage. I encourage everyone to sign up for their newsletter and get a B.Good key-chain card. I've never eaten anything off the menu that hasn't been outstanding - both from a flavor and health perspective. All the salads absolutely rock with the Southwestern chicken salad being my favorite. The burgers and grilled chicken breast sandwiches are also incredible, and you can't go wrong with any combination you make. If I really want to indulge, I order a side of sweet potato fries also which are so satiating they feel like an entire meal, even at only 300 calories. So many other burger places leave you feeling icky with that aftertaste of nasty, cheap oil lingering in your body for several hours after consumption, but I've never felt even a hint of that yucky, fried feeling from B.Good. I could probably write another 1,000 words on how great the food is, but I'll stop and just say go here, eat anything and everything, and I can state with high confidence that you'll feel great about it. read more

Recently tried the West Side burger and was not that impressed for the prices...$10-12 for a burger with sweet potato fries and a drink. The ingredients seemed fresh enough to me, but it just had incredible amounts of avocado that overpowered any other flavors. It was like an avocado sandwich with a little bit of meat and a smidgen of tomato and salsa. Sweet potato fries were pretty good. Lunch time gets busy, but it is clean with a good amount of seating. Just finished polishing off a large, tasty ear of local, farm-fresh grilled sweet corn. It's a seasonal thing, and will be gone soooon. Veddy tasty. Had a side salad of tomatoes/basil/mozzarella/kalamata olives/sliced parmigian cheese. Oh-boyo, this was a delish and tasty, toothsome treat. They give you a good amount of dressing on the side so's you can adjust to your taste. Nice dressing as well. This was a salad done right...no skimping, even though it's a side. There must have been a dozen plump olives alone...oh, I forgot, there's a few croutons as well. Good value for both the corn and the salad. Did I mention it had fresh, local basil? Ahh, the sounds of Summer, running for the autumnal hills... Onward and sideward. I don't do the big Moo, and like their veggie burgah pretty well. This was a westside, w/ avocado, tomatoe...some other stuff. I liked the sound of smoked swiss, asked for and paid extra...when I got home, not a sign of said swiss - maybe it leapt up off the bun and went and joined the...'Swiss Army'...not the greatest veggie burgah, certainly not the worst...all in all I just enjoyed a nice, well-rounded takeaway meal at home with a couple Harpoon seasonals. People complaining about price - a buck here or there - should remember this is locally grown, fresh ingredients. I've been a B. Good fan for over a year. Today I decided to try their smoothies cuz it's 90° and I know this establishment is about quality. To my delight, they have a local peach smoothie special! Was on vacation and happened into here. First off, offering a gluten free bun, that gives you points because as much as I've gotten used to lettuce wrapped burgers...sometimes I miss the bun. I also appreciated that they asked if it was an allergy or preference, and when I explained allergy, they took great care in making sure it was made in a different area. I have to echo pretty much every other negative review on here. Sweet potato fries -- Too thick which leads to too soggy, which is odd because they are too overdone (charred black) Regular fries -- Too greasy and soggy. Fruit shake -- Should be listed as a water shake. A fruit shake doesn't really move when you shake it around, because it is so thick from the fruit and yogurt. This one sloshed around like bubble tea. The only fruit taste i got was at the bottom third when i started sucking up all the unblended hunks of fruit. I'd suggest you upgrade to a Blendtec if you want to sell fruit shakes. You earn marks for a nice environment. Nice employees, nice ambiance, good location, interesting concept. Unfortunately food execution is off. You can promote local grown stuff all you want, but if you burn it (fries) or put in half of what you know you should (smoothies), it doesn't really matter much to customers. We tried b. good in Downtown Crossing last night for the first time. 2 burgers, fries and a drink cost us about $17. We thought it was a good deal as it was the perfect amount of food, we were completely satisfied after and didn't have anything left over to throw away. We both got beef burgers. They were really delicious. I like that they put all the nutritional facts on the menu and that they offer whole wheat buns. This is a personal favorite when I want something good and relatively inexpensive. I love that they have interesting vegetable sides to go along with the burgers (currently grilled asparagus and a medley of broccolini, tomatoes mushrooms. They have seasonal burgers, often with exotic toppings. They also serve shakes made with ice cream from Toscanini's in Cambridge, which is my choice of ice cream vendors in Boston. Gluten-free buns too, for those who are looking for that. I usually get the "low carb" option where they skip the bun. You can call ahead to order so you can avoid the wait, which is a plus. read more

It takes 15 minutes. Yes, 15 minutes to toast a piece of bread and put avocado spread on it. Save yourself the trouble and just pack your own lunch next time. Seems when they get busy they get a little confused on orders. I waited and watched everyone from behind me in line get their orders. When I questioned them about it they said my order would be right up. Overall I waited way too long for an average turkey burger and soggy fries. I cannot say enough good things about B. Good on Washington Street!!! This is my go-to lunch at work and I seldom go elsewhere. Not considering myself a salad-eater by any stretch several months ago, I have become hooked on B. Good's salads ever since my office move to the financial district. I no longer crave the junk food I was eating before-- it is that good! And my health has improved significantly because of it. The Spicy Lime salad is absolute perfection and I have had it countless times and it never grows old. Everything else I have tried here has been great too. So tasty, so fresh and so healthy - yet satisfying too. To make it even better, just download their app and never wait in line again, and, as a bonus, get "gifts" of free food on the app every now and then for being a repeat customer. So it was like 80 degrees and steamy in here on a cold November week night, and ridiculously bright in contrast to the rainy and dark Boston evening. The service was slow (slow to get started on my order though there were not many customers--I get they make things fresh). But the green chile burger was unexpected and very good. The chiles were fresh and just like the ones from Hatch New Mexico, roasted and cut long. I have not found real New Mexico green chiles like these prepared on the east coast. AVOID THIS LOCATION. I have been going to b.good consistently for a year now but after visiting this location I'm not sure if I will ever go back again. To begin with I waited in line for approximately 10 minutes with the only movement coming in the form of people in front of me leaving because they had already waited in line for too long. Eventually I downloaded the app and ordered my food (which immediately made my touch screen not working...unclear if this was b.good's fault or not but it didn't improve their image in my mind). After waiting another 15 minutes with what I was told was a 10 minute wait my food was ready. When I went to get mayonnaise (which I find tastes absolutely amazing and is a big reason I keep going back) I find that they have one small bottle and it is almost completely empty and so I got one tablespoon out of it as well as ketchup to go with it. When I go to eat my meal I found the burger to be decent but then the fries were so obviously undercooked and under seasoned it only reinforced my idea that this location is absolute trash. I may never set foot inside a b.good again because of SUCH an incredible lack of service and delay in ordering food. read more
