Food: They had "chicken" nuggies and sweet potato fries for tasting at the door, and were handing out vouchers for free burgers so I came back after work of course. The sweet potato fries were SO good 11/10, the chicken sandwich could've been a tad crispier but it was not bad either. I would try their other burgers next time. Incredibly impressed with all the food I had here - I didn't realize vegan food could be this delicious. Came in on a Saturday morning and the person behind the counter was super friendly and got my order pretty quickly. I popped in for a quick bite and got the nuggets and green bean fries--and wow, those fries deserve their own fan club. The green bean fries were crispy, salty, and somehow managed to be both a snack and a full-blown meal. They don't skimp on the portion either--10/10 would recommend ordering. We came here to try their vegan food. We got the Crispy Chick'n Sandwich, Save the Bay Fillet, Chilly Cheese Fries, and one of their fresh water-based drinks. The portions are decent, but definitely average to smaller than average for the typical person. This place is located inside the Whole Foods to the far right and there is some seating with stools located nearby; more tables and regular chairs are located on the other side of the grocery store (left side; near the registers) and outside. The Whole Foods in which this PLNT is located was already GOATed - huge selection, fantastic fresh produce, great meats, and a massive wine and beer section. PLNT was the very juicy cherry on top. First of all, I don't love plant-based burgers. I'm not a vegetarian nor a vegan, but I like to dabble in the world of healthier, more sustainable food consumption. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that this plant burger (they use Beyond meat) tastes more meaty than real meat, because it doesn't. It's obviously fake meat. But the burger as a whole tastes really damn good. Take the regular cheeseburger - The bun is super soft with a nice toasty inner surface, the veggies are fresh and crunchy, and honestly, the vegan American cheese is almost indistinguishable in burger form from the real deal. The mushroom BBQ burger has got to be my favorite - succulent patty topped with a tangy barbecue sauce and crispy fried onions and juicy mushrooms. It's just a tiny food stand inside of a Whole Foods but every time I come here there's a good sized line of people waiting to get their fake burgers. Their sides are also fantastic! Never thought a plant based burger would taste this good... we got the regular plant cheeseburger and bbq mushroom burger. Both were good but the bbq mushroom really stood out. Maybe it was the sauce but it tasted pretty much like the regular bbq burger in my opinion. My friend highly recommended the sweet potatoes fries here and it was worth the hype for sure. Sweet and the right amount of crispiness. The food is great, but the business is horribly run and treats their employees ridiculously. Might as well be a huge corporate chain. 1) My orders have been missing condiments almost every time. Not a huge deal, but the place is a fairly high price point with a ridiculous $7.99 delivery fee. They should be double-checking the orders. 2) They use DoorDash for delivery, and when it's used third-party like this, there is no tracking available to the customer. The DoorDash driver isn't informed that it's a third-party delivery, so they just drop it on your steps and assume your DoorDash app notified you. There's also no notification in the PLNT app or text updates or anything when the order is taking almost two hours. 3) Their app is glitchy. Twice, it has had cache issues and the order looked correct when I submitted it, but then the post-submission summary (and the food I got) had things I had taken out of the cart or modifications they had suggested based on past orders but that I had removed this time. 4) Despite PLNT having the aesthetic of a small business, the app and the store have nothing to do with each other. The store wouldn't refund me. "You'll have to take that up with the app." Isn't the app PLNT? Also, PLNT texts me frequently asking me to leave reviews, and the person texting is an actual human who replies. However, you can't get in touch with them promptly, like, say, the two times the app has messed up my order and I wanted to get in touch with the store. 5) THERE IS NO WAY TO REACH THE STORE. They don't have a phone. The number goes straight to voicemail, because PLNT has no actual phone. The second time my order submitted incorrectly, I ended up calling Whole Foods customer service (the store is inside the Whole Foods), who graciously connected me with them, but this took 7 minutes. My order had already left and there was no way to fix it. This was odd, since it always takes over an hour to get here (I live about a mile from the place). THE ORDER NEVER ACTUALLY GOT HERE. I had started texting PLNT about the order correction issue immediately. They never responded. At the 75-minute mark, I started texting them saying my food never showed up. I called back at the two-hour mark. The employee told me some nonsense about how it's out of their hands once it leaves the store (maybe practically, but the actual contract is between me and PLNT for food to arrive at my house) and was unable to place another order. They suggested I place another order AND PAY FOR IT and then see if "the app" would refund me. They said there was no manager and they had no way to contact anyone at "the app." Seriously? PLNT, this is how you treat your employees? They are stuck in the store with no way to replace an order that DoorDash stole and no way to escalate it? That's really not an acceptable way to treat your employees. As I got off the phone with the store, the PLNT person texted me back a canned response that they would refund me and block that DoorDash driver. I responded and asked if I could also get my food since I had hungry children who expected to eat an hour ago. They didn't respond. 6) They got rid of the actual veggie burger patty and only have the fake-meat (Impossible or Beyond or similar) patty now. My family members like these, hence us ordering them, but like many vegetarians, I don't eat meat-tasting things. There's really nothing I would eat there anymore. 7) EDIT they did respond to my text, an hour later, saying they'd refunded me and credited me $50. Looked in the app and they credited me $25. Just...why would you even do that? Weirdos. read more

I am a vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs, and love finding a veggie burger when I'm feeling too lazy to make one from scratch. Tonight I decided to try not a veggie burger but a "mushroom" based chicken replacement. I tried the "meati" mycelium based "chikn" patty and it tasted like what I imagine moldy paper to taste like.. and it had the consistency of pulpy, cottony paper that was somehow hard and mushy at the same time? It tasted nothing like mushrooms either. The patty was a thick block that seemed not cooked and when I squeezed it, water came out? The breading had decent flavor. This "meati" brand patty is not Plnt Burger's creation so I can't fault them for trying to offer something unique. Perhaps a different cooking method besides breading would result in something better texturally? Also ordered fries which were definitely frozen and reheated. Not so good. Wanted to like this place but I'll be sticking to home made veggie burgers. read more

Edit: Despite the reply from a manager, I have yet to hear from anyone regarding my chronic experiences with items missing from my orders. I did my first take out order and opened the bag in the store and found half the fries were missing. The staff apologized and were very nice in resolving the issue. But EVERY SINGLE order I've placed through DoorDash, their website, and for takeout has been missing items. Not one order has been fully fulfilled nor have I gotten any refunds. It is hard to recommend a business where mistakes like this happen every time. Please improve, PLNT Burger! Your products are great but to date I'm owed more than $36 in food that I never received and can't in good conscience recommend your business until this problem is resolved. read more

This was inside the Whole Foods Store- not sure how I missed this fact but it would have been great to know because we could have parked in the lot and not down and around the corner. The food was only so-so. It's the basic, if you don't have many other vegan options it will do kinda thing. Before going to a show nearby, I walked over to PLNT Burger which is inside Whole Foods Market on Harrison Ave. They also have several locations inside other Whole Foods Market stores. They offer a variety of plant based burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, fries, crinkles, chili, fruit drinks, milkshakes, and oat milk soft serve. They also have Cosmic Kids Meals too. The pricing is moderate. I ordered a PLNT Burger Meal ($12.99 plus tax) with PLNT Chili Bowl (upcharge $4) and Small Mandarin Cardamon Drink. My food was ready in 5 minutes and I ate my food at the adjacent metal counter which has indoor seating. There is also ample outdoor seating in front of Whole Foods Market. The PLNT Burger had a soft Beyond Meat Patty, Caramelized Onion, Pickles, Green Leaf Lettuce, Roma Tomato, tangy PLNT Sauce on a soft Potato Bun. The party was pretty salty tasting, otherwise it was good. The PLNT Chili Bowl had sweet and spicy flavors, a dense mix of plant based chili with ground Beyond Meat & black beans, spices topped with NewFields Cheddar Shreds and Sour Cream, Green Onions. The Mandarin Cardamon Drink was very sweet, great for washing down the aftertaste of the food. I ordered the chili cheese fries, which is one of my regular items on Uber eats. They arrived on time and were tasty, but the portion size had been cut by half from what I usually get.
