First time here today. Took just a couple minutes to sit down. Area to wait was cramped but since it took little time to get a table that was a very small problem. Got served quickly. Lovely, hard-working servers those girls! They did so well despite the volume of people. Ordered the pancakes, and those were some of the BEST pancakes I've ever had! Ordered 2 coneys and fries...simple, right?! Not for BJ's. The fries were cold and like rocks, obviously had been sitting around for a bit. Then the hot dog buns were stale, old. Certainly far from being fresh. TOTAL waste of $15.00. SUCKED! read more

I stopped here for breakfast on Saturday. Had a veggie omelette with hash browns and a biscuit and coffee. Veggies cooked perfectly, melted cheese and the biscuits are delicious and homemade. Great coffee and wonderful service!! Next time I am in the area I will eat here again!! read more

Looks small and plain while driving by. Don't be fooled. That's the reason you won't be over charged for a good plate of food. Ate there about 1000 times over the past 30 yrs and have yet to get a plate of food that I wasn't happy with. I gave 4 stars so let's all them "Small Diner Stars." This small diner is located between Corunna & Owosso on M-21. Don't let the apperance fool you. Great breakfast place in terms of both quality and quantity. THEY MAKE ALL THEIR OWN BREAD on site so make sure you say yes to the bread. Dinner is great "diner" food, you won't be dissappointed. This is our go-to place when we just don't feel like cooking and want a decent meal. Their food is home-cooked and pretty decent. Nothing fancy here, but simple home cooking. They have a heart-diabetic friendly menu, too. We usually go for the daily specials, which range from casseroles to pork chop dinners to Mexican--you name it. Their desserts are made in-house and we love their pies. A hamburger at BJs is comparable in price to MacDonald's but waaay better! We always find something that appeals to us there. read more

Great Breakfast - love the service. As a retired truck driver I have had the pleasure (and sometimes the displeasure) of eating what was once termed a "truck stop diner"! In my many travels back and forth across the country, For a classic nostalgia this diner has all of the trappings - of which the food is top notch! You want a filling affordable breakfast this should be your first choice. But get there early - especially on the weekends or you might have a short wait! We stopped here and were not disappointed. Worth the alternate route if you are heading from metro Detroit to the Mt. Pleasant or Alma area, or in the Owosso area. The battered chicken sandwich was great as well as the beef barley soup. My son got a kick out of the face with cherries and pineapple on his Mickey Mouse pancakes. The homemade bread, we sampled wheat and white toast, was perfect. In fact we left with a loaf of wheat and cinnamon and I cannot wait to toast some up. My husbands fish looked like it was not done, but they went out of their way to make it right, including offering to make him something different. In the end he chose not too and they still took the fish off the bill, only charging us for the soup and small fry that he ate. I presume the owner also stopped by and offered her apologizes. Wish I had room for dessert. It's hard to find places with great homemade cooking, including bread. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal. read more

The wait staff here is the most rude I have ever dealt with in my life. We called ahead due to bringing our autistic nephew who can only eat select foods. We called and asked if they served cereal. They do not so we asked if we could bring his own bowl of cereal. The person we spoke to said we could. We got to the restaurant and were told we shouldn't have brought the bowl of cereal. They also said that typically we would be asked to leave but that we would not this time. The waitress was very rude to us throughout the remainder of our time. When checking out we tried to explain the situation to which the waitress walked away from us during our conversation. The staff was very rude but to discriminate against an autistic child is unbelievable. Especially after we had sought their permission initially. I will do everything in my power to make sure this story is heard and that BJ's is filled with horrible people read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Owosso! Home cooked food just like Mom used to make it and fast service!! I've eaten here for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner!! I love the omelette's and grilled cinnamon rolls and the multi grain pancakes for breakfast time (which is served day or night). Lunch time....can't go wrong with the Steak Ciabatta....that is to die for!!...or the Turkey Reuben or olive burger....Dinner I would choose the Fried Chicken, liver and onions or any of the daily specials!! I actually just LOVE everything there but of course I can't list everything! LOL Try it out for yourself you won't be disappointed! read more
