I checked out The Corner Bar & Grill last night after seeing some good online reviews, and overall it was a solid experience with a cozy neighborhood feel. The space is smaller but very welcoming and definitely feels like a local hangout spot. When you walk in, the specials board is front and center, including their Burger of the Month, which is what I ordered. Mine featured goat cheese, spinach, strawberry compote, and jalapeños. The flavor combination was unique and really worked well together, and the burger itself was juicy. Personally, I would have loved a bit more char for those crispy edges, but the flavors were definitely there. It came with rosemary fries that were thin, crispy, and generously seasoned. I added a side of hot honey for dipping, which ended up being an unexpectedly amazing combo. The restaurant has a great beer selection, plenty of TVs for sports, fun retro-style décor, and soft lighting that creates a relaxed atmosphere. Even at 9 PM, there were families with kids dining, so it feels very family-friendly rather than a late-night bar scene. Noise levels were low enough that conversation was easy, which I really appreciated. Bathrooms were also exceptionally clean. My main hesitation was pricing. A quesadilla was around $15 and my burger was $20, which pushed dinner for one person with a drink and tip to about $35. While that seems comparable to nearby spots like Boston's, it felt a bit high for casual bar-style dining. Parking is limited, but the location is convenient, just minutes from I-75 and surrounded by other restaurants. Service was amazing. We were sad immediately and she checked back often and said what her favorite thing on the menu was. Overall, good food, creative menu options, and a comfortable atmosphere. With a little refinement and maybe slightly better value, this could easily become a regular stop. read more

Corner Bar is one of our "go to" place for a casual meal. We often times use online Door Dash to have our dinner delivered and usually are very satisfied. Today I wanted to order on Door Dash and found that the Corner Bar choice was blocked out - unavailable. It's happened before but a quick call always solved the problem. Not today. I got was a bartender on his 3rd day, totally unconcerned, unwilling to ask for help. And with a "have a nice day" was hung up on. Well Justin, you may want to look into this. read more

This place has the best cheeseburger in town, hands down! Not to say that their other food isn't fantastic, like the shaved ribeye nachos, the brick chicken, or the poutine, the the cheeseburger is PERFECT. Cooked to perfection, just the right amount of vegetables, a nice slice of american cheese...perfect. Make this a stop on your next night out. Very nice gastro pub located on the outskirts of Fenton. The food menu is a bit limited but what they do make they make very well. The menu includes eight diverse starters, some salad options, a couple main entree's and a decent selection of sandwiches. for our meal we had the Krispy Brussel sprouts, Ribeye Nacho and their classic burger With add on bacon. Generally speaking all the food was well prepared and very tasty. The brussel sprouts were made with red wine vinagrette with candied walnuts and crispy capers. This dish was absolutely delicious and a must get if you are at this restaurant. The nacho as the name implies is made with ribeye steak and numerous fresh ingredients where the combined ingredients equated to a very flavorful dish. Lasty the classic burger was large, well made and very tasty in its own right and was accompanied by Rosmary fries. Speaking of the fries, these were the standout of this dish for me where they were crunchy with nice seasoning with the Rosemary seasoning adding another layer of flavor that takes these fries to my happy zone! Relative to the restarant itself it has a cool contemporary eclectic vibe to it with tv's in key area's so you can catch the big game while enjoying your meal. Service was friendly and prompt with great follow-up. overall this was a great dining experience for us and one that you should experience for yourself if you are in this area. Five stars read more

Stopped in with my child and mom for lunch on our own way to Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad. The brunch menu was on which had something for anyone. $7 kids meals, mine had pancakes which came with bacon and choice of side. They were just how we like them, crispy sides and all. My vegetaraian benedict was super yummy; the poached eggs were some of the best prepared I've had in a while and the asparagus, spinach, jalapeño hollandaise (subtle) came together so very well. My mom enjoyed her burger and fries. They were quick to accomodate her dietary request. Perfect for hangovers but equally as good for really good food - even for kids if you don't mind a rock bar setting. Server was friendly and thorough. Great place to get a good meal and drink for a reasonable price. I've had salmon, Thai shrimp, fish tacos, and brussel sprouts (not on the same night lol) and all were good. Decent beer selection. Place has a bar and grill rock band vibe. It's clean and service is ok, but not quite as friendly as I'd like. It's always been busy but never crowded on my visits. I'm giving this restaurant five stars because I love the owner he's always kind always smiling... And the food is always incredibly good the rosemary fries just out of this world !!! So the owner five stars the food five stars all the other stuff I've ever encountered five stars!!! BUT!!! sadly when I was there on Saturday 9/11/ 2021... The young man behind the bar was short, unfriendly and honestly the reason why I would never go back and sit at that bar. Unfortunately if I walk in there tomorrow and see that young man ..I will go sit at a table, this is a critique coming from a woman that has been in the bar business as a bartender for over 20 years and dislike trashing fellow bartenders... no way would my former employers keep me if I behaved the way that young man did. I don't think I've ever had such unpleasant service to the point of making me uncomfortable and the person I was with and the man that sat by us was treated the same way and dumbfounded by that bartenders behavior... First time visiting and it's Taco Tuesday! Specials on Margaritas ($5) and tacos ($2) are making this a go to for regulars. Personally, I found the margaritas "eh" and the tacos "ok". We also ordered the Poutine Fries (a fantastic mix of rosemary seasoned fries and cheese curds topped with delicious jalapeño gravy) and the green pork chili (to die for!). I had an Old Fashioned which was ok, and a decent Whiskey Sour. As of right now my tip would be to stay away from the specials, order of the regular menu and allow yourself to be surprised by the mixed drinks. A great restaurant hidden in a strip mall! Once you get inside don't let the size of the joint fool you...their food is out of this world! My wife and I have been there for brunch, lunch, dinner and late night numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed! Most recently (this past weekend) we were there with friends for brunch. My omelette was my wife's eggs Benny looks delicious. Did I mention the brunch drinks? First impression was not a good one. The kitchen ran out of the ingredients for my Mac & Cheese, Midway through making it. So my friend received hers which was made normal, then I receive mine which was dry and crusty. How they can bring one normal one and one wrong one to the same table is hilarious. Sunday brunch menu is incredible! A great variety and several vegetarian options as well! Staff is always friendly and attentive and the food service is quick. I brought my sister there for brunch this past weekend and she loved it! She said "who would have thought a little corner bar like this would have such a wonderful menu and good food?" My children took me here for Mother's Day. The only complaint was my order. While it was very good, there was a serious lack of avocado. One would assume you would get 2 pieces of toast with at least one whole avocado for $12. I have included a picture and to be honest, I laugh everytime I see the "avocado toast".
