The straight razor shave was excellent -- they used peppermint oil and coconut oil, which felt incredibly soothing and refreshing on the skin. You can tell they take pride in the details. Online- says $35- I get told my haircut is $45 because it varies per barber so * be warned * for a haircut that was under 30 minutes. The low taper on the back was good. I called the shop afterward to explain my frustration, and to the owner's credit, he offered to make it right. I went back at 7:15 p.m., and he took care of it properly, and I left satisfied. As a gesture of appreciation for him taking the time to fix it, I even bought him a nice cigar. While I was there, I scheduled another appointment with him for today at 11 a.m.; he put it on his calendar, and I built my day around that time. When I showed up today for that 11 a.m. appointment, I was told the owner had left for the weekend with his lady--no call, no text, no notice, nothing.
