I've been coming to Westside for the past 10 years, since 2012. This is the best barbershop in Tampa Bay! Rob, the owner, is such a nice guy and the atmosphere in his barbershop is top-notch. My barber is Jose - the one and only. In my opinion, he gives the best fades in Tampa! Tell him exactly what you want and he gets it done perfectly. He has his own room with a TV and music. Asked for a simple lineup and the guy took half my mustache off. Didn't fade my beard properly whatsoever and my haircut was uneven. Then charged me 50$ for a service I've had done better at half that rate. read more

Walked in and asked if they were taking walk-ins and the man says "of course they're supposed to start at three but I guess I can take you now". It was at 3:06. He then proceeded to tell me "they don't do longer hair there". Maybe I am mistaken but any barbershop I have been too before is able to cut long hair. Unprofessional and rude was my first impression Update: three months later and I get this message on my yelp page from a barber there! Real mature my man. This barbershop is lacking customer service more and more by the week it's very sad to say because I have been coming here since they relocated. With greed my barber somehow jumped his price from $20 up to $30 for just a regular fade, I think his name is Kyle. & without warning, he said this AFTER you got your cut, when all the other barbers charge $20 consistently. Today's my last day coming here because not only am I somehow getting charged $30 but I sat as a walk-in while two other people who came in after me got sat as walkins before me. While two other barbers are standing around with nobody in their chairs talking.. All in all customer service is talking with your guest to see if they are a walk in so you're not screwing over people's time.. Sad to say, but there's plenty of barber shops around with more consistent guest service then being flat out ignored & Overcharged on top of it read more

Rob is a master barber...went there for most of my haircuts but my schedule,travel and distance from work has forced me to go to a spot much more convenient. However he is an excellent barber...tremendous with the clippers...always great fades and blending....no nonsense approach...in and out with a great cut. I will be back when time permits. read more

Hands down, easily the best barber shop in all of Tampa. They truly deserve more than these 5 stars! My husband has been coming here for a little over a year now and I couldn't be more thrilled with the cut he comes home with and the professionalism we always receive when he goes there. I have accompanied my husband in here many times, even with our small daughter and we always feel welcomed. Every single time. If there's one thing I always felt when I walked into other barber shops, because of the feel and the conversations being held in there, was that women just didn't belong in this sort of establishment. But this shop is totally different. The music and television show choice is always appropriate, never anything provocative playing. As a woman, it's a very comforting feeling to feel so welcomed into such a manly environment. I strongly recommend this shop. To everyone! I recommend asking for Rob or Nat. Both gentlemen are very knowledgeable in their craft and by far the most professional barbers I've met in my time. Bad overpriced haircut with a barber that didn't talk the entire time. Probably won't come back.

WEST SIDE BARBERSHOP- The overall barbershop was nicely set up. The barbers chair weren't that comfortable. I was literally losing circulation in my arms as I was sitting there. And it's usually my legs from sitting too long. The reason I'm giving this barbershop 1 star is because of a barber in particular named EDDY. I felt as if I gave him very thorough instructions, more than enough info on how I wanted my hair cut to look and he completely screwed that sh*t up. He had one job!!! fade the sides INTO the Mohawk that way it all flows and blends together, then skin fade the bottom. I left that barbershop with a standard low hair cut NOO Mohawk. I don't know what the hell this is but it damn sure ain't a Mohawk. Then as he's finishing up I was going to ask him to correct some things after I had already asked him to correct some areas. He began to rush me and ignore me so I would get out of the chair. He'll never get $25 out of me ever again!!! WORST BARBER EVER!! And a sorry ass hair cut for someone that's been cutting for 3 years. You need to go back to barbershop or just quit! No tip for you sir !! Didn't even cut the hairs under my beard or over my mustache. I look as if I never got a hair cut I just paid him do something I prolly could have done my damn self. JUST TERRIBLE The receptionist was very polite though I must add. I forget her name but she was super professional and informative about the shop. She welcomed me to the area after I told her I had just moved to new Tampa. She deserves 5 stars. The vibe is completely chill and relaxed. Each and every barber shows love and consideration for everyone, even if you are not their personal client. The funny barbershop banter is light hearted and entertaining. Barbers clean up hair for other barbers so that the shop stays clean and it is always organized. There are over 12 barbers there every time I am there for my appointment, and walk ins are welcomed with a smile and open arms. Best barbershop I've been to. This place is cool, laid back and they have a really good selection of barbers. I've done a walk in a couple of times until I found my barber but now that I've found the one that I like, I'll keep going back to him. I use Tony but I've seen good results from all of them. Tony does a great cut. Prices are pretty typical at the $20 mark not including tip but they do range depending on who you use or what you get done. They take card but prefer cash. Took me a while to find this spot but really glad I did!! Super nice, big and clean shop with plenty of barbers. Kyle is the true definition of a Master Barber, he takes his time and is definitely worth the 40$ cut versus some of the cheaper barbers around town who finish in 10 minutes. I've been a regular here for about two years now. I have my preferred barbers that I go to, but I've never received a bad haircut from any of the guys in the shop. The price is very reasonable for a good cut ($20 + tip). It's great going to a place where the guys are super chill and make you feel welcomed. The newer Shave Lounge is a refreshing upscale option. It'll look great once everything is all done. I do recommend making an appointment. These guys are talented and there is always someone in their chairs. In town on a business trip and needed to get edged up before I left town. I found Westside on here and so decided to go in and check them out. I was promptly seated with Tony. You can tell these guys are masters of their craft and have a passion for what they do and truly want to make sure you're happy. Husband needed a haircut when we got in town. Their website says book online but has no option so can't you have to call them. Upon checking in a coupon is available for a free beer or wine but didn't ask for it since I was just there with hubby. Barber did a good job, husband was very happy with his cut. Music was very loud and had cursing in it. Would not recommend children coming here but otherwise a nice spot for adult cuts. read more
