This spot is a no-frills go-to for classic Korean dishes - with their specialties being Jjajangmeon (black bean noodle) and Jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and also the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour fried pork). They don't have much on the menu besides these and korean fried chicken but we tried their broccoli with beef just to add veg to our meal and the dish was honestly good but just pretty overpriced and small portioned for the cost (small pieces of both beef and broccoli). To their main dishes though, I wish their jjajangmeon had more meat (only found a couple small pieces in the midst of all the noodles) but at least they give a really good size portion of noodles. Their noodles are so chewy and one of my faves. Jjampong is perfect - has a decent amount of seafood, the soup is on point, and noodles again, always al dente. Service is always great, even though there is usually only one lady working the front of the restaurant at all times (that I've seen, anyway), but all of them are always smiling and such hard workers, super sweet aunties. Would go just to support them - but bonus is that the food is also good!

    * heavenly after a 8 hr hiking day * A Korean spot tucked away in a corner in Federal Way, B Won @bwonfedway! Humongous portions as you can see! You know how Keith Lee judges if a place is a flop due to bad service, food, or marketing?? B Won should definitely have more people going to it. Super friendly service and decent food. Maybe a bit skewed because we were starving and cold after hiking Mt. Rainier but legit our waitress was so nice. I wanted to be her friend the black bean noodles hit the spot for me and I even scooped the sauce onto my fried rice. I would say the fried rice was on the more oily side though

Good foods and the service is great

Good food and great service. Price is very reasonable. I love their black bean noodle. Support local business

Their half and half but look at how much they skimp on the jjiajjiangmyun.

As others have mentioned, I love Hyang Mi which was the establishment prior to B Won. Unfortunately, they have closed and this place has changed to B Won and it seems they have the same menu with price increases. That would be fine if they kept the same portion sizes or better tasting food, however that was not the case. For example, their half and half, if you look at my picture, you see how uneven the portion sizes are. The jjajangmyun was not even half full and the kitchen and serving staff thinking that is acceptable is absolutely mind boggling. My mom and I were shocked but we didn't say anything as the staff was getting ready to get lunch as the table before us got served and we were the last ones to get served. The dumplings were good but we were also extremely hungry so it wasn't just because that flavors were outstanding. The same issue with our half and half: the jjambbong and jjajangmyun tasted water down (a common issue that other reviewers have mentioned) and there was an alarming lack of noodles for each dish. $18 for half and half is a lot and the portions felt like we were a child getting only some of the adult portion. Needless to say, it will be the last time we will visit. The interior does seem more spacious but everything is pretty much similar to how it was before. The service was okay, the lady was friendly and polite but she seemed to be more interested in her lunch after she delivered us our food. It is disheartening to see that the sign for Hyang Mi in its place from before, as B Won will never hold a candle to Hyang Mi or Malri Hyang.

Jjajangmien and jjambbong are the best in town. Not sure about tangsuyuk or chilli shrimp tho. They are alright Friendly staff. One of my Go-to on the weekends.

We ordered few dishes to share and although they are flavorful felt little short of something special. Friendly service and cozy interior. The restaurant is tucked inside and parking lot is little dark at night.

Their Tangsuyuk is the best I've ever eaten and I got the sale price for Black Bean noodle with 10 bucks. (Normal Price is around 15 bucks.) This discount will be available the whole month.

Very friendly staff. Behind a strip mall in the corner. We orderedthe house made dumplings. Excellent meat to dough ration. Very delicious. The spicy beef was great. It was a perfect amount of heat and beef was tender with green onions. We ordered the large noodles even though the lady said it was really large. It was a lot! We didn't finish it. It was saucy and very rich. Very tasty. We enjoyed the experience. Wish we tried the fried chicken! Reason to come back!

    Seafood soup

Food and service was amazing! I had the black bean noodle, sweet and sour pork, and seafood soup. I would definitely come back again and try everything else!

The jjambbong had a nice kick and plenty of toppings, but the noodles themselves fell flat -- a bit soggy and lacking chew.

Not sure why I never heard of this place. Owner said they have been open for 3 years now. The food came out fast. We actually ordered too much we had it for three more meals at home. I think overall the food was good. Like I was telling the owner I normally drive to Canada to get Chinese food, or San Fran for dim sum. I'm pretty hard to please. But since I like to support local, I'll bring my friends here another time for lunch. The decor was minimal but nice. From the outside it looked like it was closed, and like it was a home or doctors office. It's right next to a bikini barista. So we missed it the first time. It's a brick building. The tea was really good. The perfect amount of Chinese leaves, and it was nice and hot for a cold blistery day even if it's almost spring.

We love that Magic Wok stays open just a bit later than other places as our schedule gets hectic and we usually don't have time until later in the evening. Every time we come here, we are greeted by who I presume is the owner as she is always there to greet and serve us each time we visited. She is always very polite and is very quick, which I appreciate as we are usually hungry and want to put in our order fast as well as coming in usually an hour or half an hour before close so we don't want to keep them long. The dining area is very nice with several tables that can accommodate large or small groups are available. If you come in alone or just a party of 2 then they usually seat you at one of their three booths. I love that they play classical music as it is fitting to listen to and I personally love it. Each table has a soy sauce dispenser, sriracha, salt, black pepper, and now they also have hot chili oil! They also have an amazing complimentary tea that I cannot stop sipping and it is just the perfect way to balance whatever you ordered. We usually order to the lunch specials during lunch and dinner specials (either individual or family depending on how hungry we are)! They are always filling as they always come with a soup of choice, fried rice or white rice and an entrée of your choice. So far we have tried the BBQ pork, egg rolls, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, wonton soup, orange chicken, general tsos chicken, steamed vegetables with chicken/shrimp, honey walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, almond chicken, sweet and sour chicken/pork, shrimp with lobster sauce, cashew chicken, BBQ pork fried rice, house special chow mein, lover's fried rice, broccoli beef, moo shu chicken, and mapa tofu. We have always enjoyed our meals and don't really have complaints. I really love their stir fried dishes more so than their fried dishes, but I also just don't particularly like fried food. The fried rice they offer for the meals is also great and does include BBQ pork and everyone that I have taken here has agreed that they have the best side fried rice. Additionally, they have probably one of the lowest prices in Federal Way especially for their lunch specials that goes from Monday to Saturday. Magic Wok always hits the Chinese food cravings and definitely worth your money. Another cute perk about dining here is that they give you a very cute and helpful calendar for the new year when you come in any time in January. My only small complaint is that you don't get checked on often depending on how busy the restaurant is or if they are eating food too, but that's understandable. It's just I always want more of their tea or need napkins, so I always make sure to ask ahead of time so that she comes back. Additionally, some times there is a temperature difference but they will be happy to fix it if you ask politely. Take out here is pretty quick and I don't think I have ever seen them be pushed back on orders and ensure that food is ready at the exact estimated time. There's a reason why Magic Wok has been around for so long and I hope that continues!
