How to Create Your Own Build a Bowl
    Stacy I.

The ambience is so inviting. Beautiful layout.....not a tone of seating if it were to get busy.......but you don't feel crowded. The Customer Service was friendly and helpful! I spoke with the person at the front, they said they had opened in May. I wish I had known that sooner! This place is a gem! Fresh ingredients, lots of options. My partner and I opted for the Create A Bowl. You have your choice of base, protein, veggies and sauce. I got white rice, with chicken, cabbage, carrot, zucchini, mushroom and scallions. (No egg.....this time!), with Teriyaki sauce. The chicken is all white meat, the veggies are fresh zucchini and mushroom were NOT overcooked. It all came together for a perfect meal. My partner had the white rice, beef, cabbage and zucchini also with Teriyaki. He said it was really and would be back again. I'm glad this is in a perfect place between home and work because I will be back again soon!!!!

Very delicious!!! Just the waiting time is a bit too long when you ordered in rush hour...

Beef Bulgogi Bibim Bowl with gochujang - IG @bougiefoodieboi
    Kyle W.

A fast causal Korean bibimbap / rice bowl restaurant in Federal Way. I went here for Saturday lunch and it was not too busy. I got the beef bulgogi bibimbap which pretty much has all the ingredients listed in the menu, and I opted to add an egg for $1 and that was worthwhile since the egg was cooked to runny, which is my preference. The beef is pretty good and they do add a lot of beef in the bowl. Portions are fairly huge to justify a relatively high price tag ($14.99 for beef bulgogi, +$1 for egg), so close to $18 after tax. The ingredients were relatively fresh and there are a lot of vegetables. I opted for the gochujang sauce that was pretty decent.

We stumbled across this place on our outing yesterday. We love Bibimbap and were excited to see it. The storefront looks kind small as it's just a door, but don't let that fool you. They have a small amount of seating or you can order to go! On our visit, we learned that they had only been open a week! Happy to support an up and coming business, especially one that has many competitors in the area. The menu is simple, a rice bowl or a traditional Bibimbap. And if you don't want to have everything in your bowl, or you want a little something extra, you can choose your additions. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi with gochujang. The fried egg on top is optional but I would recommend it! Lots of fresh and delicious vegetables included! We want to go back and try our dishes again with the optional noodles instead of rice! We also tried their pear soda and the honey lemon soda. At first the pear soda tasted like I was eating potpourri but it eventually grew on me. The honey lemon was also good. They would be enjoyable on a hot sunny day for sure! The staff member was very friendly and nice, even inquired how we liked everything! We will be back. Best of luck to this new business!

Excellent experience at Bibim Express! Lots of options, super friendly staff, and they even let me adjust my order for the special diet I follow. Delicious meal, and amazing options for vegetarian and gluten free! So glad we stopped here during our trip to WA!

Very cute shop for a solo date ! Like a Korean version of chipotle but a smarter and better choice to make. The employee who served me did an excellent job, took the time to review options and even assisted other customers while making orders! Multitasker! I will come again for the food but her service made my visit sweet .

I was a little disappointed that the bibim bowl didn't come with an egg. They charge $1 extra for an egg. Beef bibim was pretty good but it needed extra bibim sauce since it was on the dry side for me. Rice bowl is smaller than bibim bowl. I wish it was same size as bibim bowl since the price is the same. The lettuce wrap was pretty good. Sadly the tteokpokki was horrible, not worth $7. Overall, decent place for only bibim bowl.

Spicy Pork Bulgogi Bibim Bowl and Yachae Twigim
    Daniela M.

A great spot for quick, affordable Korean-inspired comfort food! We tried the Bibim Bowl with sweet potato noodles and spicy pork bulgogi topped with an egg. While it doesn't have the same depth of flavor as a traditional Korean restaurant, it's perfect for satisfying a bibimbap craving on the go (especially at that price point). The service was fast and friendly, making the experience even better. Our favorite dish was the Yachae Twigim--crispy, flavorful, and a must-try! I'd definitely return for a quick, tasty meal.

Interior is light, playful and clean! Definitely a hole in a wall sort of vibe, and it's a good one! Food was freshly made and delicious! The day we came there was a "buy 2 bowls, get a free gyoza" on a small chalkboard. The rice bowls are large portioned, a lot of rice and good amount of protein and veggies, the gyoza was fried and came with a yummy sweet soy sauce on the side. We also got a yuzu drink which also had a passion fruit sort of taste too! Everything was awesome, the cashier was kind, patient and helped us with our options while ordering. This is a go-to spot!

This is the recommended k bowl I had here during my first visit

We discovered this little hidden gem by accident and became an instant fan of this new phenomenon known as K-Bowls. I chose the beef as my protein and we also had another bowl with tofu the bowl has rice topped with veggies that I was able to select along with our choice of topping sauce. Everything blends together really well, and the portions are very generous. The staff was helpful, explaining the concept in order choices.

    Beef Bulgogi, Mango drink, Tteokbokki
    Su N.

The bulgogi is good and Tteokbokki is soft and not too chewy with a slight kick. Mango drink is more like sparkling soda (I'm not a fan of sparkling soda) but it's not bad. Can taste the mango but only if you drink it without food in your mouth. Would try again.

This new spot is DELICIOUS! My fiancé and I loved their Create your own Bibim Bowls. Flavorful and fresh. Caleb was extremely kind and helpful with all my questions! Super cute and small spot. Loved it!

The service was impeccable, the young lady at the counter was knowledgeable about the menu and very patient with mine and my family's questions! Great spot, fantastic portions and delicious food!

I always consider trying somewhere new, but I keep coming back here whenever I want that perfect mix of side dishes, grilled fish, and meat. I highly recommend the Family Combo. For around $89, you get an incredible spread: about 8 different banchan (side dishes), grilled fish, spicy squid stir-fry, bulgogi (or spicy pork), marinated crab, and soybean paste stew. Even though I cook Korean food at home, it's a lot of work to prep this many dishes at once--this is exactly where I go when I want that "home-cooked" variety without the kitchen stress. The restaurant feels cleaner than before, and the service has gotten much friendlier. While many people come for the BBQ, the Family Combo is the hidden gem. It easily fed three of us with leftovers! At roughly $30 per person, it's unbeatable value in the Seattle area.

The seongol came with plenty of meat, and the presentation was visually impressive. However, it felt just slightly short of a deep umami flavor, and some of the meat was a bit chewy. The flavor was very mild, and the glass noodles stood out more than the traditional soondae taste, which made it feel unbalanced.

It was crunchy and not too salty or bland. The ratio of scallion, seafood, and batter was perfect. They did not skimp out on the squid. The size of the squid was about one phalange. When I bit into the squid it was chewy, springy, and meaty. It's amazing to me how they managed to make the pancake crunchy despite filling it with so many ingredients. The kimchi and radish were super flavorful and not too spicy! Kimchi was sooo good. Even though the side dishes were limited, I enjoyed the freshness and taste. I also tried the samgyetang (Korean chicken soup) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) for the first time. The samgyetang was light and hearty. The broth could have been a bit sweeter. I probably wouldn't order this again though because I like more flavor. Though the bibim naengmyeon was too spicy for me, it was refreshing. The noodles were chewy and the cucumbers added a nice crunch.

We walked into a simple and welcoming space that matches the type of food it serves, the kind of place that feels especially fitting on a colder day when you want something warm, filling, and comforting rather than a complicated meal. The atmosphere is unpretentious and functional, letting the food take center stage. The main reason to visit is the seolleongtang, a traditional Korean beef bone soup known for its clean yet deeply satisfying flavor. The broth has a smooth richness that comes from the long cooking process, while the beef adds heartiness to the bowl. One thing that makes the dish stand out is that it arrives relatively simple, allowing you to adjust the seasoning yourself with salt and other condiments to your preference. We appreciated the flexibility, since it lets you dial in the flavor exactly how you like it. The radish kimchi and kimchi served alongside are especially important because they add brightness and balance to the mild broth, cutting through the richness and keeping each bite fresh. The menu also has other solid options if you want to build a larger meal. The handmade dumplings are a good addition, and the seafood pancake is a popular choice for sharing. The portions are generous enough to make it a satisfying meal, and the combination of soup, banchan, and side dishes creates a traditional Korean dining experience that feels complete. The banchan add variety and texture, rounding out the meal without overwhelming the main dish. Service adds to the overall experience, with staff being attentive and helpful when explaining dishes. Whether you are already familiar with Korean food or trying seolleongtang for the first time, the restaurant makes it approachable. The team guided us through the self-seasoning process and checked in at the right moments without hovering, making the meal feel both comfortable and well paced. Yi's Traditional Korean Beef Soup is a great choice for anyone looking for authentic Korean comfort food, especially when you are craving a warm bowl of soup that feels both simple and satisfying. The focus on quality broth, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a reliable stop for a meal that warms you from the inside out.

Got seated promptly at a table with a grill. Looked at the menu and noticed it changed to have an AYCE Option as well as the regular one. It looked different than the previous one which had combos and whatnot for parties of 2 or more. Anyway, the 3 of us decided to get the Classic Combo for $38.99/per person. Initially requested for 2 orders of Beef Brisket, 2 Pork Belly, 2 Pork Gyoza, a Bulgogi French Fries and an Egg Roll along with 4 Rice bowls. For some odd reason, our grill at the table heated up very slowly even on high! Had to wait a while to grill the meat and took a long time to cook them because the induction was too low. After our first order of food items, we asked multiple times for more of the Beef Brisket, Pork Belly, Egg Rolls, Gyoza, Rice and Japchae (Stir Fried Glass Noodles). It seemed like the quality of the BBQ meat went down compared to our last visit. Maybe because they had changed it to a more prominent All-You-Can-Eat BBQ joint? I'm not quite sure, but we could definitely taste the difference in the meat quality. The other food items were tasty, though. Have to remember that their portion sizes changed to be smaller as well. I suppose they did that in order to save food inventory for the AYCE option in case not everyone finished their portions and had big amounts of leftover food. Service was pretty good, received decent table service and requests for refills on water, side dishes and additional menu item orders. Overall, we had a pleasant dine-in experience. Next time we may end up ordering from the regular menu. As for parking, it was actually pretty packed in the front and back of the restaurant. We were also misled in the fact that we thought we could get fried chicken here only to find out they don't have it on their menu anymore. This was during a Friday evening around 6pm, and my friend and I got seated immediately since the restaurant was empty. You've got a lot of tables inside that are relatively clean and seat mostly groups of 4 or so. News in Korean is playing on a TV nearby, and the interior just feels calming with the uniform wooden floors and tables. Menu is limited here though most of it is for their traditional hangover soups. My friend and I wanted some meat dishes so we got both their spicy pork and beef bulgogi on sizzling grills. Both meats came sizzling when brought to our table, though they weren't piping hot from what I remember. Spicy pork was hard to chew at times, and my friend had to spit out one piece because it was too hard. It wasn't too spicy though I think it would have benefited from more spice since the flavor wasn't too strong. The beef bulgogi was both of our favorites, though the color wasn't too appealing and I felt there was a ton of liquid, as if the beef was plated before all the water evaporated from the pan. Service was top-notch for both of us, though. Staff were attentive in answering our questions, grabbing our utensils and getting us water when we asked. I felt this was a one-off visit because we didn't get the dishes this place is more well-known for, so I'll come back again to have their hangover soups instead.

I had too much chicken and side dishes (which they regularly replenished!) to really have much of it, but what I had was clear and tasty. I'm not really in this area much, but I'd recommend it to others! The location is a little odd and tucked away in a closed plaza, but plenty of parking and the food is good and the staff is quick.
