I love the pho!!!! Banh cuon was cold when we received it. It was excellent but it made me wonder why it was cold.

Beef tallow that I like to dip my noodles in.

I try to eat here twice a month, even in summer. The service is quick. I get the large pho everytime. My only feedback is the cuts of beef aren't the highest quality compared to other places. The meat is well boiled and falling apart when they serve it. The dining room is big, and there are TVs showing weird street food being made.

My new favorite pho spot; recommended by a friend. I came here twice already this week. The food is soo good. The broth is super flavorful even without any sauces. Lots of meats with the noodle portion. Service was quick as well. It gets pretty busy at times in the restaurant.

    - Feeling under the weather and we FINALLY got to try this place. We've been told to go here from two peers and no regrets. Such a homey vibe with great service. The small or regular sizes was a big portion. Pricing wasn't too crazy. - The Bon Bo hue was actually pretty good, loved the amount of meat and the meat balls was my favorite. I don't usually get the pork blood but I didn't mind it this time. I'd say though, I wish it was more spicy. The flavor was amazing and could tell how authentic it was. The veggies were fresh although I wish they had water spinach. - Pho was amazing. The flavors were to die for with the amazing portion of soup, meat and noodles. Fresh veggies as well. We got the combo with the spring rolls and the spring rolls were okay. It was big but wish it had more filling. -My favorite was the savory crispy pancakes. I've always wanted to try this and it became a staple. The crispiness with the fresh veggies and the sauce. Chefs kiss. -we had a favorite near by and we just found our new favorite in federal way. It did not dissapoint.

Would recommend. My cousins were craving pho and this is their go-to place while in the area. The place is small but comfortable. The service is quick, and our food came out in a relatively fast fashion. I ordered the fatty brisket as not all places seem to have this, and it did not disappoint. The combination of getting the egg rolls is a nice touch as well

Fresh spring roll with pork patties (Nem Nuong) is a good appetizer. Pho and vermicelli are both decent, but I prefer the vermicelli at Pho Trang next door. Service is average for a Vietnamese restaurant, food comes out fast.

I live in Seattle and rarely eat pho in federal way. I happen to be in the area and tried this place out and instantly notice they don't use beef bones to make their soup but they use chicken. Lots of MSG too. It's called VIETNAMESE NOODLE SOUP. Use beef bones for the soup! I'm almost embarrassed to be Vietnamese when I see businesses doing shady things like this to trick Americans . Far from traditional pho. You can fool salt & pepper taste bud Americans but you can't fool a Vietnamese. Not surprised im the only Vietnamese in the whole restaurant. Service was terrible . Vietnamese ladies would talk shit about people in their language and they didn't expect me to understand. I asked for fish sauce and one of them told me to get up and get it myself.

Hands down from customer service to consistency of the quality of their dishes this place is one of our top three go to Vietnamese spots in Federal Way. We have literally been making our way through the menu and so far there has not been one dish that we did not like. If you have not tried this place you're sleeping. I typically get soup appetizers and a rice plate when we come but today we just stop by for a small bite.

This is one of the few Vietnamese restaurants my parents love eating at especially for their bun bo hue, so I took two of my friends to have some dinner here! We went on a Saturday night and got seated very quickly as there weren't a lot of people. There's ample parking just behind the restaurant though it isn't immediately obvious where to turn into. The inside consists of one room full of tables that sit anywhere from 2 to 8+ people. I ordered the tomahawk pho, which has several pieces of boned beef briskets among other things. Te bowl was HUGE as it should be since the briskets are already very big. Very rich quality and very rich soup for my pho, and the beef came off very easily from the bone while not being too chewy or too hard. I also ordered a side of egg rolls, which came out hot and fresh. I didn't try their bun bo hue here, but I might when I come back! Federal Way is more know for their Korean restaurants, but this is one Vietnamese restaurant I'd highly recommend in the same area if you want some great pho that's not only fast but also well-balanced in flavor!

Food and drinks were delicious. Service was quick and efficient. We went around lunch hour and it was busy but they still had a few tables open and they were on top of orders. Clean and cozy spot!

Food tasted good until I saw the cockroache. We sat right by the register and this guy was flying on the wall. Sadly I will never be going back

Pho is good even though the flavor is really mild. The portions are large. Wings were a bit dry. I would come here again for pho if I'm in the area.

Do they have banh cuon cha lua?

Yes! But I suggest to calling ahead to make sure it's available. For example, I tried calling today (Saturday) at 9:30, but they said it wasn't available until about noon.

Since it was late, the place had several tables filled but wasn't a full house. There's tons of tables for groups of 2+ people, and I got seated immediately. Inside is brightly lit and very casual. With all my usual first visits to Vietnamese restaurants, I got their Thai tea and their grilled beef short ribs rice plate. That tea was standard and took a little while to prepare since staff had a bunch other delivery orders to fill throughout the night. The rice plate itself was tasty; the grilled beef short ribs looked burnt but still tasted as if they had all the seasoning as I like, and the meat still pulled off the bone easily, so it definitely wasn't overcooked. The rest of the plate is very standard but satisfying in my books. It was also quite nice chatting with the staff a little bit too on some of the dishes. This is a place I'd recommend for some good food, and they're also open slightly later compared to most other places around their vicinity, so it's also a decent choice for if you want foods little later than usual. Really happy this place gets constant traction, and I will be recommending here to my friends!

They have probably…read moreone of the most chaotic and confusing menus I've ever seen, but they serve some really excellent food. Walking in for a Saturday lunch into this establishment, the entire restaurant smelled like sizzling meat and aromatic herbs. This was a little past noon and most of the staff were in the back taking their lunch break. There was only a single guy in front managing everything. We placed our order at the counter and were given an estimate of 20 minutes for the food. It took exactly 20 minutes, and he even gave us a 2 minute warning when it was almost ready. #4 Combo ($28.99) - This is a huge portion, easily enough for two people. In fact, this was the only thing we ordered (they had run out of the other item we wanted) and we finished only around 75% of the meal. The plate includes an entire mound of rice under all the meat. The photos of this dish are deceptive - the meat on top hides what's underneath. It's actually an appropriate amount given all the protein, a far cry from other places that only give a small bowl of rice. The rice is fried until dry and leathery, sticking together into larger chewy structures. It's actually an excellent texture for this dish. And the flavor is phenomenal, giving the fragrance of herbs, ginger, garlic, and other spices. In terms of meat, the dish includes two Kroeung meatball that taste of lemongrass and aromatic herbs. There's crunchy garlic stuck to the outside and everything is pan fried until a crust develops from the great sear and char. The inside is so meaty, with lots of whole pieces of meat rather than ground. It gives a burst of fragrant umami. There's a chicken wing, stuffed with vermicelli and shredded chicken meat. Again, it has a very fragrant and lemongrassy flavor. The chicken skin pulled along the stuffing gives an extra oomph of texture. Finally, there's an entire chicken leg/thigh quarter. It's so good, one of the best chicken quarters I've ever eaten. I especially love the scoring on the skin of the thigh that allows the pan sear to really develop an extra crusty layer from the additional surface area. The chicken meat interior is so tender and juicy and gives such an amazing coconut enhanced flavor, full of umami. The chicken fat and skin gives that crispy fattiness that enhances the chicken to the max. Now that's how to cook chicken! On the side are some spicy and crunchy daikon pickles mixed with some mint. Also, a fragrant and really spicy minced pepper mixture that gives an instant fresh burn. It's not smoky at all. (5/5) Everything Theary Cambodian Foods serves is a flavor bomb right to the gullet. Delicious, delicious, delicious food. Too bad it's so far away from me, otherwise I'd be a regular.

A few people came to pick up. We ordered the #1 stuffed chicken wings and the #11 clear vermicelli noodle salad with 4 meatballs. The owner was working alone so she was the cashier, waitress and chef. I've never been to Cambodia so can't comment on authenticity but the food was definitely homemade with love. Inside the ambience is very "hole in the wall" but that doesn't bother me. The owner had left our Clorox wipes so we wiped down the table ourselves. The food was absolutely incredible. I loved the noodle salad with bits of kale, crunch of cucumbers, and a refreshing sauce. The meatballs did taste like lemongrass as someone else had mentioned. It was a perfect balance of flavors. I'm not a huge fan of fish sauce but there was no fishiness whatsoever. The stuffed chicken wings were made from the flat part of a chicken wing except without the bone. These are a labor of love for the chef to extract the bone and wrap the meat and stuffing with the skin. It was delicious but seemed like an ingredients of the stuffing was already in my salad. The rice was scorched a tad like Korean scorched rice which gave bites of texture. I liked the wings and they were good but I really loved the noodle salad. I don't know if the owner has other employees but I would warn you to order in advance and be prepared to wait. We didn't mind as we were catching up but I could see that if it gets busy, she will need more help. If you are in the area, want to try new and different flavors, and have time to spare, give this place a try. I'm looking forward to going back to try other dishes.

One weekend, I ordered a crawfish boil to go, and my wife and I were eating it while watching a football game. During the meal, we found a small coiled piece of metal inside one of the crawfish. We thankfully noticed it before swallowing. I took a photo and brought it to the owner's attention. She spoke with the cook in Vietnamese, and I understood them say that the metal came from the wire brush they used to clean the crawfish. The owner told me the same thing. I wasn't asking for anything. I simply wanted them to know because it was a serious food safety issue. I was surprised that I didn't receive an apology or any reassurance that they would address the problem. I gave the restaurant another chance and returned a few more times, but things never felt the same. On one visit, the owner and her mother discussed the incident while looking at me, which made me feel uncomfortable for bringing up a legitimate concern. I wasn't trying to cause trouble, just hoping to help prevent something like that from happening to someone else.
