Unfortunately...Artys showed extreme unprofessionalism by dumping my mattresses in the middle of the street and leaving my couch in the middle of the complex (when he was supposed to dispose of it at the County dump). He cancelled my appointment on Saturday and was late on Sunday. Had the smallest truck money could afford and broke the gate to the building. Maintenance from my old residence called me and I have to pay for the damage they did and the mess he left behind. I do not recommend this business at all and am embarrassed that I didn't do better due diligence. Shop somewhere else and get peace of mind. read more

Artys quoted a very reasonable hourly rate and asked for a list of items that needed to be moved. He allows you to provide the truck (U-Haul) or will rent one for you at an additional cost. The confirmation came through Yelp and we communicated through Yelp and via text. Artys called before arrival and oh man-- never have I ever seen two people move boxes that quickly and efficiently into a truck and out of a truck! Artys and his worker were thorough, considerate of others in both my apartment complexes, masked up, and communicative about their next steps. There were zero damages to any of my boxes or my furniture and they handled the fragile boxes with incredible care and patience. This did not work out. We reached out to Artys and agreed on him picking up some junk to take to the dump at noon the next day. After exchanging pictures, he gave us a price that was similar to other quotes we received but he could come the next day so we went with him. Very polite as well. We set everything neatly in the driveway so it was easy to pull up and load in. Unfortunately, noon turned into 2 pm. I get it, things happen, no big deal. Eventually, the outdoor camera notified us that someone was outside in our driveway, so I put on my shoes so I could go out and greet them, but just as quickly and they pulled up, they rolled out. I didn't even get out the door. I message Artys to see if everything was okay because I was confused as to why they left without saying anything or even knocking on the door. He messaged back that he had the wrong sized truck and quoted us improperly. They showed up in a $19.99 rental Uhaul cargo van (per my camera footage)...You can't do the job so you just leave without any communication?! At that point, I accepted the 55% increase in price because I just wanted the stuff gone. He said he would look for a larger truck, and try to come around in the evening or tomorrow. Crickets until the evening when I asked for an update because it was getting late and he said he was in DC.... The movers were efficient and strategic in loading the truck for all my things to fit just right. They also kept a great attitude and we even joked while getting the job done at the same time. Moved from my house in Patterson Park to our new house in Reservoir Hill in Baltimore. Reservoir Hill homes are much larger and have a plethora of steps, however they pushed through in a professional manner. I couldn't sell some of my furniture, I reached to some of the junk removers in yelp, and I got the lowest price from BAAK Trucking. I was at work till 5 pm, so he was nice to accept showing up around 5:30 pm and did a pretty good job. A bed, couch and drawer were disassembled in 10 minutes, and we were heading to the elevator after 15 minutes of entering the apartment. Nothing bumped to the walls or door. Got everything moved safely put in our new apartment without any damage after dealing with a less-than-helpful front desk guy. Artys did a great job for my local move. He was able to get me scheduled last minute when my initial movers cancelled and communication during booking at leading up to the move was great. The only less than ideal part was that the second person (of the two man crew) didn't show up until about an hour into the move. Artys still worked really hard when he was by himself, but of course it would have gone faster with two people. Once both guys were there, things moved quickly and they were both really nice, personable guys. They were very skilled at disassembling and reassembling things that needed to be, and navigating some tight spaces in a DC rowhouse. Overall, I definitely recommend them. read more
