My husband and I went on a Saturday night and it was a nice easy and delicious meal. It was not super busy (although it should be because ... yum!). It is really pretty inside despite the outside being an older shopping center. Waitstaff was attentive and food came out fast and super fresh. The flavors were delicious and the spice was perfect. Favorite Thai food in Atascocita area. We've never had a bad experience. The food is fresh and flavorful. I used to love ordering the mango sticky rice, but the price has been increased so much, I can't justify ordering it unless it's a special occasion. I especially enjoy eating the khoi sai gai. Not sure how to spell that. It's a noodle soup base usually with chicken, but I enjoy the beef instead. The cook doesn't know the difference between mild and spicy, I ordered a pho soup and it was so hot in temperature that couldn't tell if it was the spice, I was 10 to 15% into it and my lips were burning, at this point the server said he would take it back and said he would bring me another one, but the cook said I had eaten some of it, I left the bowl with 85% of it there! The server was very courteous, the cook however needs to learn the difference between spice levels reflects also on poor management, I will not be visiting the establishment again! read more

I love this place. My wife and I order take out from Baan Thai all the time. Hands down the best Thai restaurant in the area. We rarely get to eat in so this trip we had the whole fried red snapper. It was worth it with a sweet garlic sauce. But you can't go wrong here everything we have ordered was amazing. The service is friendly and will help you navigate the menu and they can also help with how spicy you want your food. Lastly the restaurant is cute and clean. I used to come here even more often, but they got rid of the spicy beef salad (my all-time favorite dish ). Please bring it back! I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately my dining partner ended up with what he felt like was hardcore food poisoning eating here. It must have been the eggplant dish, because a few hours, he was violently ill, and that was the only dish I didn't eat. I did enjoy the duck curry, though the meat was scant. Our waiter didn't ask if we wanted it spicy, but I requested some spices afterwards. Pass on the shrimp appetizer. It tasted like some pre frozen stuff. The coconut ice cream was fabulous. read more

Delicious food, just what you would expect. I do like spicy food but their spiciest is pretty overwhelming. Our whole family loves this place. Curry and Rice go so good together. Papaya salad ($8.95) 3.5/5 Big quantity but lots of iceberg lettuce. Would have preferred more papaya than lettuce. We got this in mild and Thai style instead of Laos style (P2 hasn't been able to manage spicy foods these days). The seasoning was very nutty and not fishy. The dressing reminded me of the ginger dressing salad at Benihana-like Japanese restaurants. Not a bad salad but wasn't what I was used to. Chicken Pad Kee Mow ($11.95) 3/5 Quantity is smaller than what I'm used to and not as much flavor as other places I've had this. Not bad by any means but nothing special to write home about. Spicy String Bean with Tilapia ($15.95) 4.5/5 This dish was the star! Tilapia is very finely carved off and the pieces cut into chunks and everything deep fried. It's then tossed with green beans and other vegetables in a sweet and slightly sour sauce. Fish could have been a little less cooked (I understand that it had to be deep fried then tossed again) but flavor was great and texture on the frying was nice and crunchy. Highly recommend this dish, as this dish is one of the dishes that would set Baan Thai apart from your run of the mill Asian bistro. I was looking for a decent Thai spot close to my hotel and happened upon this little spot. First off, it wasn't busy at all. We walked in and were seated immediately. We sat for about five minutes before someone came to our table. I ordered a beer and my friend ordered a water. For food I ordered Red Curry, Thai hot. (Don't attempt this if you can't handle extreme heat). It was a 5/10 on taste and didn't have enough chicken or coconut milk IMHO. My friend had Massaman Curry and enjoyed it. Absolutely loved this place! My fiancé and I were wanting a quick bite after some errands and stumbled upon this Thai place. Everything here was amazing. From service to food to the vibe. Shout out to Jett!! He was phenomenal! Since we're in October, the place was decorated with Halloween decor which I loved. They had soft music playing and the general vibe of the restaurant was nice and relaxing. My fiancé and I shared the (6) crispy roll appetizer which was delicious. The plum sauce was an absolute hit. We also had some pad Thai with different spice levels. They have 4 spice levels and the "hot" level 3 was the perfect amount of spice for me. (I tend to enjoy lots of spice in my food!) they also seemed to have nice tea and alcohol options but we opted out for that night. Again, Jett was helpful and sweet during our entire experience.
