Left No Grain of Rice Behind (and Met a Track Star) (10/10) My husband and I wandered into Imperial China on a quiet night - just us two lovebirds and the immaculately clean scent of... well, perfection. Seriously, the place smelled so fresh you could probably perform surgery in the dining room (don't worry, they stick to cooking, which is way more impressive). But the real MVP was Kendall She ran the register, served us, and basically orchestrated our entire evening with the grace of a future Olympic athlete... which, as it turns out, isn't far off! She mentioned she used to run track and is getting back into it. Let me tell you, that explains everything. The speed at which she refilled our water? Blink-and-you-miss-it. The efficiency of her service? Faster than the hurdles she used to jump over. We half-expected her to hand us our fortune cookies while doing hurdle drills over the chairs! Kendall, if you're reading this - you're amazing, and please save some gold medals for the rest of us mere mortals. Now, the FOOD. Oh. My. Wok. We're usually "leftover champions" at Chinese restaurants - it's practically our marital duty. But not this time. We ordered the Combination Fried Rice loaded with goodies) and the Hunan Chicken (spicy, savory, downright addictive). It was so unbelievably delicious, so flawlessly cooked, that we licked our plates clean. Seriously. Not a single grain of rice, not a stray pepper, not even a suspiciously saucy smudge escaped. Our dog is currently giving us the stink-eye because there were zero take-home boxes. Zero! Imperial China broke our leftover streak, and we're not even mad. And as if the universe was nodding along, our fortune cookie sealed the deal: Thursday will bring trust on your new journey." Considering our journey involved demolishing enough food for three people and meeting a future track legend, we'd say it's already pretty darn trustworthy! Overall 10 out of 10. Been ordering up Chinese found here for a few years, but we're likely not going to do so again. Gotten to the point where you get home and find $4-7 of the order wasn't received. And the last order just a couple days ago we discovered an intact full chicken embryo in the egg drop soup and didn't find it until we were on the last few spoons of soup. I was once a fan of this establishment but i am sorry to say that is no longer the case. The last time i had some fried rice from these guys the rice was so greasy and heavy the taste was not much to write home about either almost have a bitterness to it. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was chewy and rubbery not ideal at all. At the end of the day would certainly not recommend this place to anyone. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. Our waiter first of all seemed like she was wishy washy when it came to our food and requesting for specific things. In regard to the food it was not good either and our Lao Mien had so much of a garlic, and onion flavor that the whole table was reluctant to the whole general taste. At the end we decided due to the taste of the food and the service being below sub-par we gave zero tip. The waitress was very rude and disrespectful asking where her tip was and when we told her "you need to earn it" she cussed at us and told us to never come back. Food was good and Kendall was great. I plan to go back because of both. We had gone to another Chinese restaurant close by and it was Horrible (see earlier reviews). So we checked around and saw this restaurant. It was an excellent decision. Was pleasantly surprised that we could substitute the pork for beef in the fried rice! Spring rolls were nice and the shrimp egg rolls were a surprise. The flavors were great, everything came to us piping hot. I recommend this to everyone. read more

Called the restaurant to ask if they delivered and was happy to find out that they do. I ordered the orange chicken for lunch and they offered the lunch special which comes with a side option and an egg roll for a good price and decided to add an order of crab Rangoons. Food delivery arrived promptly and was steaming hot and fresh, tasted great, and didn't break my bank. 10/10 read more

My family tried to walk in to dine in today and I guess they don't do that here?!? A worker came from the back twice didn't acknowledge us so we just left. I can't speak for the food as I have never ate here, wanted to try a new place but guess we'll just have to keep looking for places for Chinese food. This was once my favorite Chinese Restaurant but last night they lost my business. I ordered for delivery orange chicken cooked fresh and soft cooked, crab Ragoons, shrimp fried rice, and spare ribs. What I received was old over cooked chicken, cooked meat that wasn't spare ribs and pork wontons. When I called about replacing my order they said that I had to personally return the food to their restaurant. I explained that I had just been discharged from the hospital and I could not drive. They said the only option I had was to return the food to their restaurant. I am no longer a customer. read more

Super gay friendly! Had a great time with me and my friends. The only thing is the sodas are not to standard with the real drinks. They tasted a little off tbh. Dr Pepper might be De Thunder. I've tried all the Chinese restaurants in Humble this one is the best. I like this place bc they don't use MSG. It's very clean and the portions are big, and lots of meat. I always get the Kung Pao chicken it has a lot of peanuts and has a really good flavor. Broccoli beef is good. I love their won ton soup. I tried their Generals chicken and I loved it bc it has more chicken than bread. Not a fan of their fried rice it doesn't have egg or veggies I always get the white rice. read more

While in Houston with my friend we decided on having some Vietnamese food while in the Humble, Tx area. Thanks to Yelp we landed here. Menu was extensive and had several options and items to chose from. I decided to play it safe and ordered the Pad Thai and some spring rolls (which I thought was going to come in rice paper rather than fried eggroll style). My friend ordered the kung pao chicken which turned out to be so tasty and spicy! My pad thai (veggie) was super sweet and watery. The consistency of the rice noodles were not ideal for me and I ended up not eating but 3-4 chopstick shovels of it. I wasn't expecting the sauce to be so light and see through! I though, for some reason, it would be light brown and more salty. Our waiter was pretty forgetful too. A lot of times he seemed to be pulled in many directions even though we were there during a non-peak time (4pm). We would have to remind him of items and dishes he forgot to bring us. Meh. Next time, if anything, I will make sure to arrive at lunch time. Apparently it is cheaper with the same amount of food. read more

My 1st time trying this place out was to go and i was disappointed in the quality of food and service. I ordered the chicken lo mein that was placed in a cheap styrofoam container. When we picked it up he said to be careful with the lo mein bc it was really hot. When we got home the lo mein had melted the styrofoam. I called them back expecting at least an apology and their response was "next time tell me you want it in a plastic container" My husband also got sick from eating the curry chicken. Love this place! Great food/Service I really like eating dinner or lunch here at Imperial. They are so friendly and even when lunch is over they will let me order off the lunch menu and just charge me a couple of $$ extra (love it). Since moving to Atascocita, this has been our go-to Chinese food delivery restaurant! They are always nice when you call your order in, have your number linked to your address (so you don't have to give it to them every time you order), and generally get the food delivered in about 15-20 minutes. I ordered the lunch special of the Kung Pao Triple Delight with a side of steamed rice and a hot and sour soup. My boyfriend had the Cashew Chicken with a side of steamed rice and an eggdrop soup. We didn't get our soup until about 10-15 minutes later and saw 2 customers who came in to order food to-go get their food before us!
