Service was great - attentive, helpful, and friendly. Parking isn't too bad because it's in a small plaza. However, pho broth could be more flavorful and rich. Note that there may be homeless who might come in and stop by your table.

We had a meal here. Food very good. Highly recommend. We had pho, vermicelli, spring rolls or egg rolls and strawberry banana smoothie. Very nice experience. Good number of people. Pleasant noise level. Not loud. Excellent customer service. Staff very nice. Gracious

This time around, I got to meet the owner and I wish I hadn't... I got to the restaurant, having driven 45 minutes just for this chili oil. (Needless to say, yes, its worth it, and yes, it's that good.) I went to the counter and let the owner know that I'd like to purchase a container of chili oil. She confirms the order, I nod, then excused myself to the bathroom. When I came back to the counter, another worker asked me what I needed and I told him I was waiting for the chili oil. When the owner came out of the kitchen, the server asked her in Vietnamese if she had gotten the chili oil yet. She replies "Why would I make it for that girl when she hasn't even paid yet?" She walked over to me, closed me out at $10... then turned to the worker and spoke in Vietnamese again to say "Tell her she's going to have to wait." I was shocked by the stark contrast of the attitude and customer service that she gave in comparison to her husband. First of all, I'm Vietnamese, I can understand you, there's no need for that. Secondly, and this is what kills me, she didn't think I was good for... a whopping $10. I kept in mind that it took time to prepare the chili oil from my last purchase. Hence why I placed the order first, then excused myself to the bathroom. At this restaurant, the food is served first. After the patron is done, they pay out later. I don't understand why it was such a big deal to prepare the order first while I excused myself for a couple minutes. I also didn't understand why the owner seemed so irritable throughout this interaction. Maybe she was having a bad day, who knows? Either way, I have to admit this experience has tainted my excitement for this restaurant.

This place has really good Pho. I have been going there regularly 1to 2xs a week for quite some time. Lately they've been skimping on the beef in the pho! After today's order, I will no longer give them my money. When I got my order home today, this is what I got for $20.00! I feel ripped off. I will have to go to this other Pho establishment on the NW side (Pho Viet Tastes) where I get 3 times the amount of meat for the same price.

Short and simple: this is my all time favorite Vietnamese spot! Speedy service and a great selection of food and drink. I'm always satisfied when leaving this establishment, you have a lifetime customer!

I love Phò for breakfast. Phò Dien is open by 9am perfect time to fill that belly with some rich broth. The service was friendly and the Phò was pretty good. I even took another order to go. The iced coffee was great too. Sometimes it's too sweet but Phò Dien 1960 gets it right. My only complaint was the TV wasn't on so I kinda just stared at the walls or staff while waiting.

Very friendly sweet staff but pho was only ok, a tad bland not super Viet authentic. Overpriced too: $19ish before tax and tip!!

This is my favorite Pho spot in all of Houston and trust me I've tried many spots. Fresh ingredients and flavorful broth.

My fiancé got off our flight from IAH and first thing we did was stop by pho Dien. It's only an 8 minute drive from bush airport. I got the medium combination pho and my fiancé had the large. Medium was more than enough food. They do not skimp on the meat and noodles. Their broth is rich and delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean. Highly recommend if you're in the area

But the inconsistency has been an issue for me, and the flavors aren't as good as they once were. Dishes I regularly ordered like Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Japanese Egg Tofu, and Honey Walnut Shrimp haven't stood out as much as of lately. Dishes like Szechuan Spicy Chicken is still one of my favorite, and Garlic Snow Pea Leaves are delicious when in season. Bamboo House still holds its place as great spot for group dining. The portion is generous, prices are fair, and overall a solid restaurant that's still worth recommending.

It's a small "mom & pop" restaurant with the owners taking orders, cooking everything up, and delivering hot food from the kitchen. Our group of 13 ordered a mix of their menu offerings; I had the pan fried dumplings, which was a healthy portion of 10 and can be a great sharing appetizer. Then I had the Jajangmyeon, which is fermented black beans with pork, vegetables and udon style noodles and my wife had the shrimp tempura lunch box entree which was a great assortment. Our friends got various hearty soups as well as the super heated hot stone bowl to keep us all warm on a cold day. Several of our friends tried different hearty soups, one had the hot stone bowl entree and the food was sizzling in the super hot bowl. As I said, this is a classic "mom & pop" restaurant where the owners greet you and get you a table, then they take orders, cook the food in their kitchen and bring it all out to the table! They were always checking to see if we needed drink refills or anything else to go with our lunch. I am so glad we tried this place and will be back as they have so many interesting things we want to try on future visits! Before leaving, I used the restroom and it was spotless as was the kitchen as I walked by and thanked the owner chef. The restaurant is on 1960 at Timber Forest and has plenty of parking in the well lighted parking lot.

I ordered the hot stone mixed rice and it was yummy. I did notice it wasn't as spicy as I am used to so I asked for more of the hot pepper paste. The paste itself is what wasn't super hot but it was still good. Food was also served quickly so I appreciate that. I also ordered a dish to go. The black bean noodles were slightly less flavorful than what we are used to but they were still good. The main drawback though is they did not give any side dishes for the to go item which is interesting. You don't pay less for it and I'm not sure why it wasn't included. I've never had Korean takeout where they did not include any side dishes on a to go order. All in all, the first visit was more a 3.5 but out of good faith, we will call it a 4 star. They did seem to cater to many regulars so it's possible the dishes are toned down for locals? Not sure though. Again, food was good but as someone who is part Korean, the dishes were not as flavorful as I am used to. I would likely eat here again but not sure this would really satisfy the craving for Korean dishes specifically.
