I will drive 40 minutes to have pho in the morning here! That says alot its so fresh and so good! It does get packed here and there but that just goes to show theyre doing something right! The portions are huge and the staff are cool people!

Service was great - attentive, helpful, and friendly. Parking isn't too bad because it's in a small plaza. However, pho broth could be more flavorful and rich. Note that there may be homeless who might come in and stop by your table.

Hands down the best pho--service is fast and the staff is consistently so kind and welcoming!

We had a meal here. Food very good. Highly recommend. We had pho, vermicelli, spring rolls or egg rolls and strawberry banana smoothie. Very nice experience. Good number of people. Pleasant noise level. Not loud. Excellent customer service. Staff very nice. Gracious

This time around, I got to meet the owner and I wish I hadn't... I got to the restaurant, having driven 45 minutes just for this chili oil. (Needless to say, yes, its worth it, and yes, it's that good.) I went to the counter and let the owner know that I'd like to purchase a container of chili oil. She confirms the order, I nod, then excused myself to the bathroom. When I came back to the counter, another worker asked me what I needed and I told him I was waiting for the chili oil. When the owner came out of the kitchen, the server asked her in Vietnamese if she had gotten the chili oil yet. She replies "Why would I make it for that girl when she hasn't even paid yet?" She walked over to me, closed me out at $10... then turned to the worker and spoke in Vietnamese again to say "Tell her she's going to have to wait." I was shocked by the stark contrast of the attitude and customer service that she gave in comparison to her husband. First of all, I'm Vietnamese, I can understand you, there's no need for that. Secondly, and this is what kills me, she didn't think I was good for... a whopping $10. I kept in mind that it took time to prepare the chili oil from my last purchase. Hence why I placed the order first, then excused myself to the bathroom. At this restaurant, the food is served first. After the patron is done, they pay out later. I don't understand why it was such a big deal to prepare the order first while I excused myself for a couple minutes. I also didn't understand why the owner seemed so irritable throughout this interaction. Maybe she was having a bad day, who knows? Either way, I have to admit this experience has tainted my excitement for this restaurant.

This place has really good Pho. I have been going there regularly 1to 2xs a week for quite some time. Lately they've been skimping on the beef in the pho! After today's order, I will no longer give them my money. When I got my order home today, this is what I got for $20.00! I feel ripped off. I will have to go to this other Pho establishment on the NW side (Pho Viet Tastes) where I get 3 times the amount of meat for the same price.

Short and simple: this is my all time favorite Vietnamese spot! Speedy service and a great selection of food and drink. I'm always satisfied when leaving this establishment, you have a lifetime customer!

I love Phò for breakfast. Phò Dien is open by 9am perfect time to fill that belly with some rich broth. The service was friendly and the Phò was pretty good. I even took another order to go. The iced coffee was great too. Sometimes it's too sweet but Phò Dien 1960 gets it right. My only complaint was the TV wasn't on so I kinda just stared at the walls or staff while waiting.

Very friendly sweet staff but pho was only ok, a tad bland not super Viet authentic. Overpriced too: $19ish before tax and tip!!

This is my favorite Pho spot in all of Houston and trust me I've tried many spots. Fresh ingredients and flavorful broth.

My fiancé got off our flight from IAH and first thing we did was stop by pho Dien. It's only an 8 minute drive from bush airport. I got the medium combination pho and my fiancé had the large. Medium was more than enough food. They do not skimp on the meat and noodles. Their broth is rich and delicious. Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean. Highly recommend if you're in the area

Never once refilled our drinks. Food was incredibly mid. I highly suspect they may use packaged ramen noodles. Served with wooden spoons that are falling apart. The restaurant itself is cute; but unfortunately it just wasn't a good experience, especially for the price. They have copycat Jinya recipes, but Jinya definitely does them better.

It has a lot of cool Japanese style decorations / wall art, and they're usually showing Pokémon on tv! The inside is very pretty / appealing to me, and it had a nice chill vibe. I will take more pictures next time. The service has always been overall solid, but my fiancée and I's favorite waitress is named Jennifer I believe. She's very sweet and attentive. We made it a point to ask her name last time we went(and somehow I'm iffy if I got it right). We were being served by a waiter who honestly was kinda meh, and then Jennifer saw us and greeted us. She then went to tell him to get us water, and I then just asked her if she could tend to us instead. She's great and we will always ask for her anytime we go moving forward. Onto the main subject: the food! I've ordered multiple different items here, but I'll start with the appetizers. I've tried the Brussels sprouts tempura, which were just ok to both my wife and I. It seemed like it was plain unseasoned Brussels sprouts fried lol. We've also had the fried shrimp shumai which was solid to me, but the Mrs said it was too fishy. Ramen: I've had the tonkotsu black (pork) multiple times, the spicy shrimp ramen, the Kami Goyu (sliced NY Strip) and the spicy chicken ramen. I really like all of the broths and noodles, but I feel like the pork, chicken, steak and shrimp proteins could improve. The pork seems really fatty / chewy but not in the way I'm used to. My wife doesn't care for it either. The chicken is like a thinly sliced chicken breast and seemed like it was cooked separately then dumped into the broth last second. The Mrs says it reminds her of a plain Costco chicken. I still ate this more the the pork, and pork is my usual go to. The shrimp was ok to me, and I'm not really sure how I'd describe it but I ate it all. I don't think I'd order the Kami Goyu again as I did not care for the steak, but I did eat it since I don't like wasting food. I think the spicy chicken ramen may be my favorite overall. My absolute favorite thing here though, is the Akuma roll. All I can say is I love it, and I'll be ordering it everytime I go. It is a raw sushi roll. All in all, I know we'll be back! Note: you can try 2 different types of ramen if you order the yin yang ramen, minus their lobster ramen.

I've done Peking…read moreCuisine for years and shifted to Arco for my duck cravings, but if you're willing to drive out to Humble (pretty much anytime you're in the IAH area), you gotta check out Bamboo House for the best Peking duck. And their other menu items are fire as well! We went on a Sunday late evening. We had a 9 pm airport pickup at IAH so it was a perfect opportunity to grab a spectacular dinner and make the 30+ minute drive out to IAH totally worth it. Parking lot wasn't too full so that wasn't an issue. While the neighborhood ain't River Oaks luxury, it ain't too scary either. We kept it simple - ordered a whole duck and Bamboo House Special Noodle with Beef. This place ain't cheap but the food is worth every penny. It was very busy that evening so it's not a well-kept secret but also proves that eventually, Houstonians will figure out where the good food is. The duck was near perfect. They serve the duck with the pancakes (as opposed to the buns like at Arco) which is my preference. The soup that comes with it was also extremely flavorful. And the house special noodles with beef - oh my. I swear it's just one really long noodle so you may be frustrated trying to divvy up the family style bowl, but the labor is worth it. So good... Can't wait for my next airport run so I can sneak in a lunch or dinner at this place. So many other menu items I want to try!

I had previously visited the now closed Bamboo House on Westheimer and I remember being impressed by the food. I had to make an airport run and decided that it would be perfect timing to stop by this location. I highly recommend ordering the duck ahead of time, but we were lucky enough to snag one of the last ducks when we arrived around 7 pm on a Sunday evening. The waitress was super friendly and upbeat and the restaurant is older but well maintained. You can see where the food is being prepared/cooked and you can see ducks being cooked/warmed behind a glass window. The duck was absolutely spectacular with the perfect seasoned and tender meat accompanied by well rendered crispy skin. I love how the pancakes are paper thin and pair well with the scrumptious duck and other toppings. They also provide sugar and plum sauce as additional toppings which I thought was interesting but not my cup of tea. The duck soup was extremely flavorful and full bodied and went well with the duck. The noodles were also amazing with likely hand pulled noodles served with an abundance of tender beef and vegetables with a little Sichuan kick. I was intrigued by a strawberry chicken dish that I saw on the menu and I plan to try it the time. My diagnosis: hands down the best Peking duck in the greater Houston area!

I ordered the hot stone mixed rice and it was yummy. I did notice it wasn't as spicy as I am used to so I asked for more of the hot pepper paste. The paste itself is what wasn't super hot but it was still good. Food was also served quickly so I appreciate that. I also ordered a dish to go. The black bean noodles were slightly less flavorful than what we are used to but they were still good. The main drawback though is they did not give any side dishes for the to go item which is interesting. You don't pay less for it and I'm not sure why it wasn't included. I've never had Korean takeout where they did not include any side dishes on a to go order. All in all, the first visit was more a 3.5 but out of good faith, we will call it a 4 star. They did seem to cater to many regulars so it's possible the dishes are toned down for locals? Not sure though. Again, food was good but as someone who is part Korean, the dishes were not as flavorful as I am used to. I would likely eat here again but not sure this would really satisfy the craving for Korean dishes specifically.
