I have my own doctor and decided to go out of my insurance network to see Dr Sizar since my family…read moreand I have known him for at least 10 years now if not more. My dad, mom and little brother have came to see him in the past month in different times too and he's cured them compared to our current doctor right now. Reason why is because Dr Sizar really talks to you and digs in to see if you have any other problems. Last Monday my little brother went to the ER from a stomach flu and left the ER after not being seen because of a long line and went straight to Dr Sizars clinic and Dr Sizar injected him on the spot and prescribed some medications and my little was feeling better within hours. My number one comment about this place though. That's why I reduced a star is the wait time. I've gone here plenty of times and it's the wait time that kills me. I mean 3-5 hours of being here is okay now since I have gotten used to it but yesterday's experience was longer. I went in since I've been sick over a week now as a walk in patient. I went in at 10am and they told me it wouldn't be until 3-4 hours until I got seen and I was okay with it. I was the first patient there and it wasn't until 11am when the first patient came and he got called in at 1130am so I guess they call patients in at 1130am. Then finally I got called in to a room at 1230pm and was happy even though the wait was 2.5 hours. And I thought I'd be out soon. Long story short. I was in that room from 1230pm to 6:30pm. Crazy huh. Yes. It's pretty crazy. There were plenty or I mean more than plenty of times where I just wanted to get up and leave. I didn't even have breakfast on that day too. Glad I brought hw with me though to keep me busy but it was to the point where I finished all my hw and had nothing else to do and my phone died too. But anyway dr Sizar did see me at around 5ish and talked to me and prescribed me medicine about my coughing and also other problems within my body so I'm happy with that. Well that's my rant about yesterday. Reason why dr Sizar takes forever is because he's on a wheel chair from the after effects of his stroke years ago. He can't walk anymore. And can't use his left arm anymore but still practices and still wants to practice to help his patients. That's a good and wonderful thing about him.

HORRENDOUS. I'm mortified by my experience at Maxi"care". I took time off of work so I could leave…read moreearly to get to my appointment on time. I waited 2.5 hours in their delapidated waiting room with peeling paint and self-proclaimed drug addicts before being herded off into a dismal room. I sat in the room for nearly 4 hours, staring at the outdated medical equipment and holes in the examining table cushion. It eventually got silent outside of the room. At this point it was around 7:30--2.5 hours after their supposed close time. I became frightened that they had forgotten about me and had gone home locking me inside. When I finally poked my head out and realized they were still there, I was furious! There were only a couple people there before me and all i needed was a referral for some bloodwork, which i already had from my prior doctor but needed due to me switching doctors. HORRIBLE impression for a first time patient. I asked for my co-pay back and the chola at the front desk said that Dr. Sizar was all of a sudden ready to see me. If he wasn't busy, why hadn't I already been seen? I had only been waiting 6+ hours! I declined and left without being seen. I lost money I could've been making at work, my entire evening, and didn't have dinner until after 9pm that night. You'd think I wouldn't return, but a pressing health issue arose and I needed to be seen. I took time off work AGAIN to do a walk-in. I arrived right when they opened but was told the doctor doesn't come in until 11. Why list your opening time as 9am on your phone prompt and on the office door then?! To top it off, I was told that walk-ins are 1st come, 1st serve and have to wait until all the patients with appointments for the day have been seen. Considering that i waited until about 7:30pm when I did have an appointment (and still wasn't seen), I couldn't imagine how late a walk-in must be made to wait. Once again, I had wasted my time as there was NO way I was going to wait there all morning, day, and night. The most unprofessional and inconvenient, not to mention ghetto, medical center I have ever been to. *note: there is not a SHRED of technoligt there from what I saw, not even a computer* What a nightmare!

I have been a huge advocate for therapy and have been going for over 15 years. This is the first…read moretime I have ever felt obligated to write a review about one. I started with Jennifer recently in looks for an EMDR specialized therapist that took my insurance. Her website was very enticing and seemed to be a good fit with how she advertised herself. I began using her services and quickly I found out she was not a good fit. I wanted to give her some time to see if the rapport would build. I am someone who does not have a set schedule and she highly pushed for a weekly appointment. I also work with another therapist who does not take my insurance but absolutely have seen improvement and help with that one, so I was dividing time between the two of them. I am also in the travel industry and do NOT have a set schedule so my schedule changes weekly; some weeks are busier than others. I told her weekly would not work with me, and bi weekly would be best. She canceled the next appointment and I would continue with the following week. The following week ended up I needed to travel and needed to cancel that appointment as well. She makes you sign a cancellation policy which states cancellations you pay out of pocket, which is standard if you are cancelling 24 hours or less. I canceled my appointment 3 days prior with ample time within policy guidelines. I immediately got an email for rescheduling and I stated I would not be able to reschedule due to overloaded schedule. She then proceeded to tell me that since I cancelled I would have to pay out of pocket 140$ since she gave me a "free bee" cancellation already. Again she did not, that is when I told her I was switching to bi weekly because I did not want to continue weekly with her. I truly believe she is in this profession for self gain and not to truly help others. In 15 years I have never had such an absurd canceling process like it is a blood oath to go to a therapist that you reach out to for help. Do yourself a favor, unless you want to be burdened and bound to this therapist. Seek someone who truly wants to help and not find a way to take your money at any means possible. If you are seeking someone's services, you shouldn't be forced to. If you seek a hair stylist and you cancel an appointment within respectable amount of time, do they force you to go and get their services? No. I felt like I was in another forceful trapped relationship with my therapist. It's a NO for me.
