After visiting Baba Shawarma recently and having the gyro me and my brothers decided to stop by and try the cheeseburger. The gyro had been delicious and filling at a reasonable price. We were pleased that this was also the case with the Cheese Burger. If I recall correctly, this is a 1/2 patty with all your regular trimmings on a Brioche bun. All three of us got the burger and an order of fries to split between three grown "Texas sized" men. The burger was awesome! My brothers and I love a good burger and this was a great one. It was delicious, filling, and a decent price. The gentleman who owns the place also couldn't have been a nicer guy. Glad to have found our 'go to" place for a quick meal. Had a late night meal. The man who took my order is very nice. We got the chicken shawarma plate and beef shawarma wrap. The plate is definitely heftier and tastier and the rice had a good season on it. The wrap was okay. Kinda got soggy from the tomatoes. The garlic sauce is mild but tasty. The chicken was way better, juicy and well seasoned. The beef was very bad. It was very dry and did not tasted seasoned at all. The bill... I didn't see the itemized charged until the text receipt afterwards. But every item was upcharged a little from the menu on the food truck. So you end up paying a couple bucks more. I felt like it was hidden and not transparent with the menu prices. Don't know if I would try this again. I have other places on my list to try. The food was great. Ordered falafel wrap and they made it very flavorful. The service was excellent as well. I asked to make it spicy and they gave spicy sauce in a container on side. They also added 3 chilli peppers to eat on side to make it spicy. It is a food truck located near airport and has plenty of parking. I took it to go and ate hours later so it may look soggy in picture but tasted great read more

If a middle eastern person goes to a middle eastern food spot, then you know it's an excellent choice. I was stuck in Houston overnight and decided to check this place out. I love to support mom and pop shops and also enjoy clean middle eastern/Mediterranean food. I ordered the beef shawarma plate and it was DELICIOUS. It reminded me of the food I would get back home. The spices are on point and the quality of the meat was excellent. I also decided to order the falafel, and it was unparalleled. I swear, these food trucks slap more than huge restaurants. What a cute little spot taco truck to get Middle Eastern food! I'm glad we have more another halal option on this side of town, because it seems like they all go down to the land of sugar, and we get none up here where we are humble. (See what I did there?) This Syrian owned shawrma shop has a great menu, and I enjoyed the plate that I received. They also had they did not include garlic sauce or hot sauce so I had to go up, but no problems at all, I asked for it but they gave it to me no issues. I got the chicken shawrma plate this time, but will try the Kabobs next! The garlic sauce, which is the thing I am the most picky about, did not have an actual strong garlic taste and was the consistency between yogurt and mayonnaise, so it did not have that fluffy type of garlic sauce that I am constantly on the hunt for. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, I ordered a gyro plate and some type of wrap thing (i forget the name). The wrap was alright, comes with fries; the fries are pretty good, well seasoned and crispy. Unfortunately that's where the praise ends, the gyro plate was absolutely fucking disgusting; I'm not even exaggerating the only good part about it were the rice (alright at best) and vegetables. Personally for me the most abhorrent part was the poor excuse for a tzatziki. I wish this was being hyperbolic but it might've been the worst tzatziki sauce I've had in my entire life I honestly think I've had better at random chain restaurants, I had been counting on it to save my poor excuse for a meal but unfortunately it does quite the opposite. I'm so surprised this place has good ratings here or on google reviews. Might be because there's not a lot of options around this area from people who have very different expectations. Stopped here after a flight and was severely disappointed. Good amount of food but deff not authentic. Rice tastes like turmeric. Chicken tastes like it's a premade bag from Costco. Deff not shawarma chicken taste or texture. Very awful flavors by itself but I guess the pickled veggies and hummus helps down it. Worst of all, ordered chicken and has pieces of beef in it. Probably can only imagine the truck being messy enough in the back that the different proteins fell into each other when fixing up peoples platters. Not cool. read more
