Excellent food. I got the goat curry. Very flavorful, and the perfect amount of spice for me. The service was fast and they were remarkably polite. They seemed to be very happy to serve me. I got there early for lunch, but by the time I finished, several others piled in. This is clearly a popular place. It's also about 10 min from the airport. I'd say it's worth swinging over if you're hungry and have a long layover. The prices are reasonable too. They also have a burger for people who are afraid to eat new foods. read more

I visited this restaurant in a busy strip center along JFK since I was in the area and it receives good reviews on Yelp. Upon walking in, I wasn't very impressed with the interior. I was dining in and took a menu to the table since it seemed so large, even though the gentleman behind the counter said just order here. I thought the menu was large, but It turns out I just grabbed a double menu, but their actual menu is very small and only 1 page. They have a basic selection of Indian and Pakistani dishes. I picked a lamb curry with a iced tea, chicken wings and garlic Naan. If you are getting a to go order, there is a menu board of select dishes by the register, but the prices are $3 more. Lamb curry - I chose this protein over goat since most times it does not have bones and I didn't wanna fight with bones during a lunch meeting but it had bones anyway. The curry was the most disappointing part because it was really just an oily broth. I've never seen a curry this oily before. The lamb pieces were pretty small and not a lot of them in the large bowl. 1/5 Naan - this was your typical garlic naan 3/5 Chicken wings - just 1 flavor and they are heavily breaded and were not that good 2/5 Service was really good though, so I will round up for Yelp purposes. read more

The food was amazin! Ordered some samosas that are absolutely a must as an appetizer. Our main dishes were a plate of butter chicken (creamy mildy spice Currie with flavors that fill your mouth. My favorite ) and chicken tikka botti (which is similar to grilled chicken with its unique and tasty flavor) paired with a mango lassi. The man who got out order was very nice and patient with us. This was my first time to ever eat Halal food. As a special request from one of my customers, I decided to get Halal food today. I relied solely on yelp reviews for the area I was in and decided on Maza Pakistani Grill based on those reviews. The location is conveniently located about 1/2 mile north of Beltway 8 on JFK Boulevard close to Bush Intercontinental Airport. When I first walked into the restaurant, I immediately noticed how spotless everything was. This place is really clean. I also noticed how good it smelled. The spices used in this restaurant smelled wonderful and the aroma filled air. I ordered the lamb curry. I was not expecting the lamb to have the bone in it. As my Pakistani customer told me, it's best just to eat it with your fingers instead of trying to use a fork and knife to cut the meat off the bones. He said eat it with your fingers and that way you can bite around the bone easier. I was almost finished when he suggested I do that so I ended up eating the whole thing with the fork. I did have to remove bones from my mouth with my fingers throughout the process. The taste of the lamb along with the curry and white rice was the perfect amount of spice and an awesome flavor. It also came with tzatziki sauce. Based on the lamb that I had today and not knowing what fully to expect, I would like to try other Halal meals with chicken and beef. The owner was there and introduced me to his two business partners as well. Suneel Khan was very friendly and represented his restaurant very well. Bottom line - If you are in the general area of Bush Intercontinental Airport and would like to try some really good Halal f, do not be afraid to give this place a try. Great spot to check out if you're staying at the Hilton. It was in a little shopping mall not too far away. All I have I have to say is that the food was amazing and hit the spot! I ordered the butter chicken combo and she ordered the lamb combo. The lamb was everything I thought it would be and the butter chicken was bomb. It's a nice mom/pop restaurant with great service. I don't think you can really go wrong here I will definitely check this place out again when I'm back in Houston. The only downside is that the side salad wasn't really a salad. Problems: long wait and mouth burning spicy. Pluses: clean place, friendly staff, close to airport. TOO SPICY: My party and I agree that the meat was a major problem- I hope it was a "today thing only". We ordered Masala Chicken and Lamb Curry. Both had the same flavor: spicy. The chicken had so many jalapeños that it burnt out any other flavor that I could try to perceive. My mouth is still on fire after 30 minutes and I couldn't finish half of it, I mainly ate the yummy rice. The lamb was nicely cooked on the curry, but again, there was some sort of chili that made us cry- our lips hurt. UNEXPECTED LONG WAIT: We waited exactly 31 minutes for our food after paying for it- otherwise I think we would have walked out. We came because it's close to the airport, so it seemed convenient and had great reviews. I came here one day during work training for lunch and got the butter chicken special and ordered a naan with it and the food was very bland. The butter chicken didn't have any curry with it and the color was off too. I expected it to be more of an orange color but it was something else. The naan was pretty decent but everything else was not Appetizing. I know this is a Pakistani restaurant but I know there is so many other places that have better food. Not worth the money June 2023 I was looking for a place that had lamb chops near me and stumbled upon this place ( MAZA Pakistani Grill). The reviews were good so I decided to try it. I ordered dinner for myself and my husband, lamb chop dinner for him and butter chicken for myself. I was told that the dinner plates came with rice and a salad. I Do not recommend this place at all. I got home with our " dinners " only to find that I had paid 20$ for three lamb chops with nothing else, no salad and no rice in other words no dinner. My butter chicken looked like a half order and had very little flavor, another 14$ wasted. I should have followed my first and gone to Dimassi's where you can get two dinners for 15$ each with enough food for two days. When I tried to call and share my experience with them, they seemed to not understand my english and suggested that I come in. I will never go back. The serving portions are too small and for the money I feel that it should also include some hummus, pita bread, or something to make it a full meal. In general don't waste your money. read more

It was overpriced for portion size, with bland, inauthentic dishes. Butter chicken had no flavor and the menu was limited. The biryani was "better" and at least spicy but overall disappointing. It didn't taste like it had steeped in spices. All the chicken was dark meat and very boney. Naan was not hot. There was only one other table full at the time we entered. It seems they cook food to order. We received the samosa which was flavorful, but was not fried/baked to a nice brown crust. The crust was somewhat soft. There was a little spiciness, but not hot. The aloo paratha was also nice, but a little bit greasy. The lamb curry was definitely spicy, but that is how he wanted it. The meat was tender but there was not much curry sauce. The maza roll was delicious. The meat was more strongly flavored than when I've had it at a Greek place, but it was really good. Definitely not too spicy, just a little bit of heat and I don't like really spicy food. Overall, this was a good choice. Only negative, staff do not wear masks. read more

Delicious! I can't believe we just discovered this place. It's super close to us! My bf was craving samosas but we didn't want to drive into town or the Heights. I stumbled across this place and we went there immediately. The taste is so good!! They should definitely have a few more vegetarian options - with tofu! The chickpeas and rice were delicious. The samosas were super good - with yummy potato filling! We asked what the most popular dish was and she said the lamb so I went ahead and ordered that for myself. It was SO tasty! And this place is different yet amazing. The Resturant is super clean and the owner is very humble with a great attitude. The menu is small but that's for a reason. Everything is cooke My girlfriend got the the Chicken Seekh Kabab and she was definitely loved it. Super juicy. I got the Chicken Breast with Bone and wow the chicken was cooked perfectly. We also got the Punjabi Cholay and it's got a little kick to it but with the pita bread it was a perfect balance. Tried their breakfast specials last weekend with some friends and I got their halwa with puri. Puri was amazingly fluffy and crisp. My table also got nihari (lamb), chicken & beef seekh kabab plates, and finally their double classic cheeseburger. Lamb nihari is my favorite dish in general, but I heard they are switching to beef nihari instead due to demand. Also, their kababs and beef patties came out juicy and the flavors had some hints of Mediterranean spices in them. Good amount of seating area for big crowds and they have outdoor seating as well. Being right by IAH airport they will get a lot of frequents for sure. Some other things, They have freshly squeezed orange juice! I love this place and the fact that it's a family owned establishment! The inside is very clean, the service is great, and the food is amazing. I like that after eating here I don't feel heavy and groggy as I do when I usually eat out at restaurants because the food is fresh and pretty healthy! I went here with some friends and we all left satisfied with our meals. Food: 1. Beef and Chicken Kababs- My favorite dishe. The meat is so tender and succulent with just the right amount of Mediterranean spices without overwhelming the dish. 2. Naan- It came out hot, soft, and fragrant. This tasted amazing with the sauce and with my meat dishes. 3. Chicken leg quarter- The skin was slightly crispy on the outside and the meat inside was juicy and full of flavor. So good! 4. Cheeseburger- A very solid burger. I liked the sauce on top of the burger and that the patty was thick and juicy. The fries that came with it was AMAZING. I loved the spices on it. My table ordered an extra side of fries because it was so good. 5. Chicken wings- So crispy and delicious. It came with ketchup and a really good sweet & spicy sauce. Hidden away in a little strip mall, this restaurant is a gem. It's clean and the staff (owner/cook) is friendly. The menu is not large and there are a few specials listed. There is dining inside as well as some tables outside. And the food is absolutely fantastic. It's authentic and delicious. The prices are good too.
