This small Brazilian market is easy to miss. It is located in the Knight Retail Center (located on the corner of East Colonial Drive and Knight Avenue, not far from the Winn-Dixie shopping plaza). In fact, I have passed this by multiple times thinking it was just a convenience store. Let me say that I am happy that I found this. Service was friendly and the gentleman behind the counter walked over to the refrigerator with the meats and gave me a description of each the meats and sausage. Prices are good. I believe the New York strip steak was under eight dollars a pound. The ribeye was at a similar price point. The sausage was somewhere around six dollars a pound. The location is not the best. As I said, this Brazilian market is easy to miss and the parking lot is a bit small, but if you miss this places, you will be missing out on some good stuff. I will definitely recommend here and would give it five stars. Go check the place out. I am sure you will be happy with this Brazilian market.

However, the food has taken a turn for the worse. I LOVED this place when it was Udipi, as in, drive an hour to get there and spend 3 hours lazily discussing the virtues of the perfect payasam with the waitstaff. As Flavors of India, it has a decidedly "meh" tone to it. Oh, sure, the interior has a bit of a facelift and it is now orange tones of geometric paint rather than scuffed red paint, but the food wasn't anything to write home about. My partner and I tried the lunch buffet on a Groupon the first time and while meataphiles will rejoice at the inclusion of goat and chicken to the food offerings, if you are a vegetarian, steer clear of the buffet: there are at most two offerings (aside from dessert & rice) available for vegetarians, and certainly nothing spicy. Additionally, the gulab jamun was served cold in probably the most bland simple syrup ever: no rosewater or cinnamon in it at all. For a regular dinner, the offerings weren't much better. Service was attentive to water levels and meal concerns, but the pakoras tasted overdone and reheated, and frankly our meals lacked the pizazz of the previous incarnations of this restaurant. If you're looking for good Indian food in this locale, I strongly recommend some of the other restaurants (Kohinoor, Memories of India, Gateway to India) over this restaurant.

As you entered the main door, there is a buffet style display of foods on the right with a dinning area, baked goods and various snacks straight ahead, and variety of traditional Brazilian bread with assorted fillings along with flan and corn pudding. My friend and I tried the small cheese bread (pao de queijo), chicken croquettes (coxinha catupiry), shrimp croquettes, yucca croquettes, corn pudding, guava dessert. To be honest, out of everything that I tried, the corn pudding would be my favorite for it is not as sweet and the creamy texture taste like heaven. I was told the juice cones from a fruit that grows just below the cashew. I highly recommend it!
