Tainos Bakery was such a great experience. It's a bakery with seating available, so you can actually sit down and enjoy your food, which I really appreciated. The place is clean, welcoming, and has Spanish music playing that adds to the atmosphere. What really stood out to me is how much it reminded me of the bakeries I used to go to in Puerto Rico to get fresh bread. That same warm, authentic feeling is definitely there. The staff was very friendly, and the food did not disappoint. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with sorullos and a café con leche. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the coffee was strong and absolutely amazing. If you haven't tried this place, what are you waiting on !?!? This was my first time inside but I've tried their breakfast before and it's so good !!! I love getting the bacon, egg and cheese on Cuban. Pressed of course ! this is my third time getting this sandwich I will try something else eventually! They're egg and bacon on media noche bread is my go to, and I recently stopped by after ordering pickup in the app and got to experience their cool new pickup system that makes sure your food is there waiting for you and didn't get snagged by someone with a similar name. The Boxie box felt like what I imagine the automat was like back in the day with convenient modern touches like a QR code to scan and confirm pickup or a text confirming the number that placed the order. We waited 25 minutes for our order, the fries were cold, the chicken sandwich and the burger were inedible, the chicken sandwich was 3/4 bread and the chicken only covered 1/4 of the sandwich, and when my husband went back up to the counter because his Diet Coke wasn't on the tray, the person argued with him because she said she asked if the order was complete when I picked up the tray (even though he had the receipt that showed he paid for the Diet Coke but didn't get it). I ordered a Cuban Sandwich and it did not taste anything like a Cuban sandwich. I always love Cuban Sandwiches and this was not good at all. The meat was dry. I asked for hot sauce and mustard. They put none of that on there. First time trying the place out and I was very disappointed. read more

Great find in the Casselberry Florida area. Right on 436 this Puerto Rican pastry shop is a gem of a find. There are all the pastries you would expect to find in a Puerto Rican, "repostería" and bakery. They have a very clean dining area. The server that provided us, our goodies was very attentive and kind. They have a delivery system that I had not seen before. You order online and then you come and pick up your delivery in a cubicle box with a code that is sent to you online and you don't have to interact with anybody to pick it up. It's like a lock box type of delivery very innovative and interesting. read more

I ordered from here via a delivery app one day at work for lunch. I got a friend and me a couple of Cuban sandwiches, because I had never had one from here before. The delivery was prompt and without problems. The order wasn't messed up or anything. The Cubans were absolutely stunning. More substance and a little less pressed than some of the other ones I've had around town, but I like a little substance. I like some bang for my buck. Very delicious. Just the right amount of each ingredient, and the bread was perfectly soft and crisp. I also ordered a few other kick knacks, some tostones, delicious, some yuca fries, also delicious, and a tres leches to finish it off, very delicious. Everything was pretty much textbook. "There aren't a lot of Puertorican places to get a good breakfast sandwich where I live," were the words my sister visiting from out of town said when we decided to eat here. This location is newer and I'd never gone in, but I've ordered UberEats A LOT from another location. It is a fast casual establishment meaning they have kiosks where you can place your order and then you find a place to sit. It was busy when we went on a Sunday morning so we didn't interact with the employees too much but when we did they were very nice and friendly. We ordered a lot because we wanted to taste as much as possible AND it smelled really good and we were really hungry. The pastries were really great! We ordered tornillos, mallorca and some guava pastries - all very flavorful and filling. The breakfast sandwiches we ordered very toasted and it is the way I recommend it - SO GOOD we ordered a second one to split between all of us. The sorullitos were divine! I don't live in Orlando anymore, but when I did, Tainos was one of my favorite spots, at least the one on Lake Underhill. When I heard one was opening right by my bestie's house I was so excited! Unfortunately it took several months for it to open, and every time I visited the anticipation kept growing. Finally I got to try it during my latest visit since they're finally open! Great food and coffee, lots of options, and the best part is they have screens where you can order from. I wish the menu was a bit more similar the one back in the day, but still all delicious. My only gripe is they could clean the tables and napkin/tray area a bit more often. I know you pick up your food at the counter, but sadly people don't clean up after themselves and left a lot of crumbs and wet spots on the tables. read more

We finally made it to Taino's and were surprised at how they had transformed the former IHOP. There are tables for two and four lined all along the windows and a walk up counter to order or two kiosk's to order and pay. The food is made fresh to order so it takes a bit longer but so worth it. The baking gods are hard at work on these pastries. They offer lunch fair but was smitten with the pastries. The coffee was excellent, strong and full of good coffee flavor. I'd say typical European or South American. There is seating but they do a strong takeout order. read more

Taino's has several spots across central Florida, and they keep things pretty consistent. This location had a kiosk where you can order, which is convenient. They do breakfast, sandwiches, classic lunch plates, and lots of yummy pastries and sweets. For this visit, we ordered two super breakfast plates, a Cafe Bustelo, an iced caramel coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice--all for a steal, with our total for around $30. The portions were big; honestly I couldn't finish mine because it was so filling. You could definitely share it or come hungry! I did feel a bit heavy afterwards so next time I would share it and maybe get a pastry. Their coffee is strong, just how we like it, and the orange juice is always freshly squeezed, a must-have for us. We skipped the pastries this time, trying to be good, but trust me, we've had them before--they're amazing. Overall, Taino's is a solid choice for yummy food and treats that won't break the bank. Whether you're up for a hearty breakfast, a quick lunch, or some sweet treats, you'll get your moneys worth here. This location had plenty of windows, making it bright inside and it felt pretty clean when we went. Also, our order did not take very long to come out, only about 15 minutes. P.S. I picked up some pastries on a Sunday morning. Service was quick at the bakery counter. Everything was fresh, and delicious. I wish I could have stayed for breakfast because it smelled SO GOOD in there! I had been dying to stop by here for months and finally made it in for a quick breakfast. When you walk in, it's somewhat cafeteria style with two POS systems to enter in your order. It's open seating and there are 10 or so tables to camp at til your food is ready. I ordered their specialty cinnamon coffee and a ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. They weren't that busy and I ended up waiting nearly 25 minutes for the sandwich and drink. That said, it was a pretty good breakfast sandwich and the coffee was great. It was definitely too sweet and cold, but the flavor was still really nice. Next time I'll pop up to the counter and ask for the coffee first so it doesn't sit there while they make the food. They had tons of options and quite the display of bakery items. I think it's a good spot if you're wanting to pick up a quick bite. read more

I returned a few days ago and decided to eat a cheeseburger at Taino's, but instead of French fries, I did the corn sorrucho, which are basically sweetened corn fritter. The burger was different with some Latin seasoning and little bits of red pepper mixed into the meat, served on a fluffy brioche bread. I love this place and should go more often being it's so close. Never had a complaint besides my cholesterol levels potentially not being happy lol but damn it's an incredible place for breakfast and reminds me of delis/ bodegas back where i'm from in NY. It's a must visit establishment and if you're in the northern orlando area do yourself a favor and go asap! The wife woke me up with one of their sandwiches on my birthday last week and I flew out of bed to enjoy and devour an incredible breakfast sandwich. If you don't speak Spanish, they don't want to be bothered by you. If you need to call, they won't call you back.

The food was decent. The wait time seemed a little extreme. They do have the order screens when you walk in to help streamline the process but it doesn't seem to speed things up. If it does I would hate to see how long it would take without them. They do have little tables along the front of the shop for dine in but it seems most people are just sitting and waiting for their to go orders. I would get food from there again because they're conveniently located for me but there are other bakeries around that I like better. read more

This place is very affordable and delicious. You get a great BANG for your BUCK . I recommend the tainos special for lunch with plantains or fries. For breakfast the bacon egg and cheese is great. New latin bakery in Casselberry! Super excited to have some good latin food on this side of town. The pricing here is great and the menu is extensive with a lot of our personal favs like Mallorca sandwiches, empanadas, bistec encebollado and more! This location used to be an IHOP and they've been remodeling it for months now, so we've been waiting for them to finally open! It's already pretty busy. They have multiple other locations in Orlando, so they may have a following, but I've never been to any of them because they're pretty far from my usual stomping grounds. My husband got a cheeseburger for $6.49 including toppings and fries! He said it was really good too. Today we tried the empanadas, fried yuca, sweet plantains (maduros), and pork chunks with grilled onions (carne frita).
