I've Been coming here for about 10 years. this location and the previous. Never had any complaints except for one filling that turned a weird color. reasonably priced, as I am self pay. However my 2 most recent experiences With the front desk, checkout lady.... Not pleasant. She was rude and dismissive, like me paying for my services and scheduling more appointments was somehow inconveniencing her. But worse than that, she was chewing gum obnoxiously the whole time, it was loud and she was playing with it like a child and the sounds her mouth was making while chewing was gross. Scheduled a 6 month cleaning and the hygienist that did my cleaning was from a temp agency. I was not made aware of that prior to my appointment. Just because they are licensed does not mean they are good at their job. Extremely rough and needed a rain coat while she performed the cleaning. She had difficulty communicating in English. I do not feel my teeth were cleaned properly. I do not recommend this office read more

California company I would avoid this office at all cost couple months ago I hadn't made an appointment for crown to be put on they charged me and then the dentist didn't want to put it on they had put the crown on to begin with and it had come off they want to make a new crown so I opted for another dentist in the office so yesterday they decided to charge me a whole new set of fees and my wife we just walked out it's ridiculous because they forced me to use another dentist they wanted to start all over because they charged me for a service they never did Go figure... Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Practices at Babcock Dental Center Dear State Board Dental Society, I am writing to bring to your attention concerning issues of unprofessional conduct at Babcock Dental Center, managed by Dr. M. Ahmed DDS, MPH, located at 4070 South Babcock Street, Melbourne, Florida 32901. I became a patient at Babcock Dental Center on April 5th, 2022, under the care of Dr. Lieneck, and initially had no complaints. However, since Dr. M. Ahmed assumed management approximately one and half year ago, I have observed concerning practices within the center. Specifically, I have noticed a shift towards prioritizing taking advantage of patients dental health needs, the sale of dental products and unnecessary procedures over proper dental care. The hygienists seem more focused on upselling products and services, such as x-rays, subjective gum exams with the scale No.1-6, and extensive instruction on oral hygiene practices, rather than adequately cleaning patients' teeth during scheduled "one hour" appointments for only around 10 to 15 minutes scaling and polishing. During my recent appointment scheduled for March 29th, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., I arrived at the center at 3:46p.m.and encountered further issues after the hygienist Tracy called me in at 4:18p.m. Despite clearly communicating to the front desk that my appointment scheduled by Rebecca was for teeth cleaning when I rescheduled my periodontal maintenance teeth cleaning, I was informed upon arrival that it was for x-rays, an exam, and cleaning. When I reiterated my original request, I was met with resistance and ultimately coerced into undergoing x-rays under threat of not receiving cleaning services. After x-ray taken, it was time 4:48pm. Tracy dishonored her duty refusing teeth cleaning due to the office will close at 5pm and other excuses. Furthermore, during the appointment, the hygienist Tracy lied to me and disregarded previous scheduled agreement with the center's hygienist and former dentist regarding the frequency of x-rays, displaying a lack of respect for patient preferences and professional courtesy. Dr. M. Ahmed's brief examination and dismissal of my concerns further compounded the situation with the hygienist Tracy who may act for Dr. M. Ahmed's favorite. Such practices not only undermine patient trust but also raise serious ethical concerns regarding patient care and informed consent. I urge the State Board Dental Society to investigate these matters thoroughly and take appropriate action to ensure that patients at Babcock Dental Center receive the quality care they deserve. I love Dr. Lieneck but unfortunately I have never had a positive experience with my dental hygienist whenever I've come here. Which makes me upset because I used to love coming to the dentist and now I really do not. Dr. Lieneck and the fabulous receptionists are why I'm still giving Babcock Dental Center 4 stars. I have only been here twice (as we got new insurance and had to switch to a different dentist) with two different dental hygienists but I will only talk about my experience today. Hopefully, the next time I come here, I can have a better experience with my hygienist. I came with my sister for our appointment and the same hygienist checked both of our teeth. I take care of my teeth and while I am sure that I could floss more, I know that I put in the effort to make sure that they are healthy. After asking the typical questions of how often I brush and floss (which I answered truthfully), the hygienist made comments about how I should be doing both more frequently then the time I mentioned. Which is completely understandable, I respected that. However, when the hygienist began checking my teeth, they were a little bit forceful to the point where my gums were bleeding quite a bit. Once again, I am sure to take thorough care of my teeth and I have never had my gums bleed as much as they did during this appointment. Also, the hygienist would place the tools on my chest when they was not using them and it hurt as they kind of dropped them on me. Typically, we are given the choice of which toothpaste we want. However, the hygienist selected a flavor without asking and only mentioned the other flavor options after my sister protested the one they had already put in her mouth. Usually, I would not have made a big deal about this but we're sensitive to certain flavors and the hygienist did not take that into consideration or mention the other flavors until after they were done. Finally, throughout the entire check up, we kept on being splashed with water from the tools. This happened several times. I didn't say anything during my check up but my sister mentioned it and it was kind of laughed off which is a little bit frustrating. Overall, while Dr. Lieneck and the receptionist staff is wonderful and I love how informative they are during the appointments, this was not a good experience for me at all. Reading the other reviews, it sounds like people are having a great experience but it has been hit or miss for my family. I am hoping that the next time I come in, it will better than the past two appointments. If this trend continues, I may have to find another dentist. Hopefully, another hygienist can provide a more positive experience. read more

I had a pleasant experience at Babcock Dental today thanks to the friendly staff! Their COVID-19 preventive measures include a temperature check upon entering, mandatory masking, and only allowing every other seat for usage in the lobby. They had hand sanitizer and transparent screens at the front desk, and all staff wore masks, with my dental hygienist wearing a mask with a screen attached. I felt safe here. The receptionist and my dental hygienist, Cindy, were especially friendly and welcoming. Cindy casually talked to me throughout the entire cleaning and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She even gave me sunglasses to protect my eyes from the overhead light. She always asked if something was okay to do before proceeding with that step (e.g., asking me if it's okay to use a mint flavor). She was not forceful with my teeth and did not cause any bleeding. She educated me about oral hygiene in a simple and polite way, which I appreciated because I learned something new today. Thank you for a great experience, Cindy! read more

I am sad to have to write this review, but I've tried to be reasonable and it's not working. I went to Babcock Dental for care when we moved to Fla 3 years ago. my initial visit was to Re-glue a bridge and establish a dentist. bridge was glued but I was told that I needed a deep cleaning. of course I agreed and was willing to pay the additional amount. I was a little worried that the patients in the cubicles next were all being recommended for deep cleaning, but ok. my bridge fell out within a week or so and of course I headed back. I was also told I needed a crown on a back tooth. I scheduled my appointment and went to my appointments, always paying any cost before I left. long story short, it proceeded to be a negative experience with care. I went to another doc for gum care and switched to a different dentist. I called Babcock and advised them and ask that they send X-rays to my new doc. fast forward a year, plus and I get a bill for 370 dollars. I called and was told it's an old bill and it's due. I said no, of course I'm not paying a bill for bad care. I said I have not written a bad review and wish you well. when the letters came from a collection agency (I have perfect credit so I was appalled). I wrote a letter to them and explained the situation. letters came again from collection agency. I called Babcock again and after chatting with staff, because I am a good person, I offered 50 dollars. they said they will talk to the doc. they never called back but now collection agency is calling and said they will begin to hurt my credit. this is just despicable. beware. read more

I have always been very apprehensive about visiting the dentist. As a kid it was more about the dental work and as an adult it's more about the bill and the upsell. Since moving to Brevard. I've been to two other 'chain' dentist. Both offered a super quick cleaning and then a heavy upsell to premium services. This office was the opposite. The cleaning I received was a very detailed cleaning. They then went through and discussed the different options with the issues I had. The doctor not only explained what he recommended, but also made sure I understood why I needed it. The entire process was very relaxed. At no time did I feel any pressure to get additional treatment. The doctor explained what was needed and said that he would would love to do the work. read more

Dr. Lieneck is the most caring, knowledgeable, honest and professional dentist who has ever worked in my mouth. If he needs to, he is not afraid to refer you to a specialist if necessary. Some dentists will do procedures that they have little experience doing and are money grubbers, but NOT so with Dr. Lieneck. I would tell anyone who needs a good GENERAL dentist to see him. He also is EXTREMELY GOOD at making you feel at ease by explaining what he is doing which I find VERY important. I am grateful to have found him, and will continue to go to him for all my general dentistry. I need to add that I was less than pleased with my dental hygienist. I don't really pay attention who I schedule with, but there is one dental hygienist there that could bring down the whole operation by being pushy with appointments and rough when cleaning my teeth. These people do not care about working clients. I had an appointment rescheduled, I called a week prior to confirm, spoke to one of their incompetent people, and today I show up for my cleaning and they had filled out my appointment with someone else, when I had already confirmed my appointment a week prior. Unprofessional, disorganized, this person that spoke to me a week ago should get written off. I lost over 1hr of work to attend my appointment and all they could say was ..
