My daughter went in for a filling on a front tooth and a week later the tooth began greying and is now in the process of dying completely. It cannot be saved. Not only did they not accept responsibility, they didn't provide any solutions. My beautiful daughter no longer smiles with her teeth in photos and we don't have the funds for an implant to replace it. It was explained as "bad luck" and the tooth was already dying. I have pictures before and after the visit...the visit and his work absolutely caused the tooth to die. I gave them another chance after that and was told I needed to see a specialist for a root canal. I went to the specialist and was charged $175 to tell me the XRay must not have been read correctly and I didn't need a root canal. Most recently I went in with tooth pain, and was charged $90 and told he couldn't help. They didn't offer medication or any solutions for my pain and again referred me out. It breaks my heart to have to leave a bad review because office staff are mostly great and I've had a relationship with Dr. Todd for 15+ years, but my experiences lately have me seeking another dentist. The reception staff was very friendly and welcoming when I was making my appointment and when I checked in. The hygienist who took the x-rays and completed the cleaning was very friendly and gentle. Dr. Winburn came in at the end to review the x-rays and my mouth. He was also very gentle and I appreciated his calm demeanor. Plain and simple!…read more If you were to look back at my few-dozen Yelp reviews of businesses over the past five or six years, you wouldn't often read a review, even a five star review, that didn't have at least one very small drawback. This review is not one of those. This one is FIVE STARS, capital letters, no concessions. Dr. Wooddy, his staff, and their dental business is one of the sure things in my life! I've been going there twice a year (in a good year...more if my teeth aren't acting right!), for 14 years, and haven't once ever had anything less than an outstanding, pain-free, friendly, stellar experience! Dr. Wooddy is, without a doubt, one of the three nicest people I've met in my entire life. My teeth have been worked on by five or six hygienists over the years, and all of them have been extremely kind, gentle on the teeth and gums, and fun to chat with (to the extent one can with a mouth full of hands and tools). This is something that I have not observed other places, so it is refreshing to see other cultures working here. Safety First: 9/10 They do an excellent job of following COVID-19 protocols. Though masks are not required for patients and their families, they have plexiglass around the front desk, masks, and hand sanitizer available. I am not a fan of magazines in the waiting room (germs) but I understand the point. Patient portal: What I would love to see for current and future patients is the ability to access patient records and visit summaries. I do not always remember what was told to me by Dr. Stinnett and I would love to review past and current visits. Scheduling: If you are wanting your kid to be scheduled for a cleaning, be prepared to wait. I called in December to schedule a routine cleaning and the first available was mid-April. Once you are in office, I suggest scheduling visits in advance to avoid a several month wait. Communication: Dr. Stinnett is amazing at communicating what happens during the cleaning/service. She has a great approach to a plan of action for next steps and is always so friendly and thorough. She always keeps her patients best interest at heart and always takes her time. Her staff is always great at letting the patients know if she's running behind. Overall: 9/10 This is a great place to bring your kid for dental services. I also enjoy that it is not fancy and cookie cutter like some other pediatric dentists. It's a simple office with no frills and thorough work. I highly recommend!
