    Regular box

Woooo!!!! Sooooo thrilled B&B finally opened up another place. Even more thriled that it's by me! This new location is in the park Road shopping center right next to Michael's and Bruegger's bagels. For those of you who don't know what Babe Butcher is, they are a build, your own charcuterie and cheese place. They offer a variety of things such as mini boxes all the way up into a large boards wish you can customize anyway you like it. My office has catered boards from them twice already for two of our events and they have came out perfectly. They have really unique cheeses and super fresh charcuterie so this is always a great place for me to go and grab a snack or to even grab a little gift on my way to a house party. The only minor complaint that I have is just the prices... A regular box is about 25 bucks plus tip and tax, It's a little over 30 bucks. But it's worth it to me for a nice splurge every once in a while... otherwise im better off building my own box if i'm trying to be cheap. When: Saturday 11:50am, no wait Overall: 4.8/5 Food: 4.9/5 - I am in love with their goat cheeses... the blueberry goat cheese on the honey goat cheese are my favorites. I also love all the accompaniments and the huge selection that they have. So many options to choose from! They also have high-quality cheeses and high-quality charcuterie. There is an option for everyone here. They also offer vegan cheeses and also gluten-free crackers too. I got a Regular box with honey, goat cheese, cheddar, pimento, cheese, dried apricots, pepperoncini, peppers, Montego, dusted chips, Marcona, almonds, jam, prosciutto.. the boxes came with crackers too. My only suggestion is to offer more options to select a meet. Instead of doing three cheeses and one meat for a regular box, maybe just say you can do four options of meats and/or cheeses... I personally would have preferred two meats and two cheeses for my box. Service: 4.8/5 - the staff is very kind and attentive and we're pretty quick to help me build my box. Suggestions: offer your own personal suggestions to anyone that hasn't been there before or offer suggestions on what might pair well together. Also, for those who can't see small text from far away to clearly, I would add small laminated, printed out menus for customers to grab and look at while they order their boxes. Or maybe you already have these and I just did not see them because I can't see lol!! Vibes: 4.8/5 - the place is super cute on the inside and outside. It's very clean and they have a health score of 100. I would say it is an IG or the place good for photo ops and they have plenty of seating! Other: free large surface lot in the park rd shopping center. They have no large signage yet, but just know that they are next to Michael's and Bruegger's bagels.

The staff member working there was so helpful in explaining the dishes and even gave us samples to try two of the protein options to help us choose. We ended up going with the lamb bites in the Swahili bowl, along with an order of beef samosas with tamarind sauce. The coconut rice in the Swahili bowl is ohemgee good! The collards, beans, and plantains really round it out, and the lamb was flavorful and tender. The beef samosas were a treat with savory filling and flaky pastry. This order was plenty of food for the 2 of us, and we actually took home leftovers. After you order, make sure to get your parking deck ticket validated for 2 hours of free parking. Serengeti Kitchen is a must-try! Support a local business offering cuisine that feels like getting a hug.

I love that the market acts as an incubator--there's always something fresh and exciting to discover. This time, we stumbled upon this East African gem, and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the Swahili Plate and it was fantastic--perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice that keeps things interesting without being "offensive". The beans and rice were easily my favorite part; you really can't beat a good bean! The hubby grabbed a wrap - the Grilled Chicken Chapati Wrap and was a big fan of his too. If you're looking for authentic Tanzanian flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, definitely give them a try before your next Uptown adventure. Until next time 7th Street Market. LIL Tip too - if you want a nice to pair with your food the gent that owns the Wine store will do just that - tell him what you ordered and he'll make an excellent suggestion.
