Avoid at all costs for sure. Sonya is by far the most unprofessional human I have EVER came across. She has no compassion and takes no responsibility for her mistakes. This is so hard for me to share publicly but everyone needs to know the kind of person Sonya Gabaldon really is. Please DO NOT make the same mistake I did. Back in October I had faux freckles done in her establishment. They looked fine when I walked out however as the day went on my face became fiery red, swollen, and irritated beyond measures. I had giant welts all over my face with brown spots everywhere. That's when I knew something wasn't right. The following day it just kept getting worse and worse so I went to my PCP and was told I had an allergic reaction to the pigment. Her consent forms say that you will receive a patch test, which I never did. I reached out to her and instead of a sorry I get this message: "I just looked at your paperwork and double checked that there was nothing in the product that you are allergic to. When did you get them lasered off." No sorry, no understanding. It's like she put the blame on me. Talk about unprofessional. She began to ask me why didn't I reach out to her. And I mean seriously? Why would I contact the very person that just destroyed my face. I told her that I was sad an embarrassed and that is why I didn't want to send any pictures to her, or anyone for that matter. Again, never got a sorry or anything. Throughout this entire process I have been extremely nice and very polite. I didn't ask for any free services and I did not ask for her to fix the mistakes that were made. All I did was ask that my photos be removed from her page. I did not want to have my face promoting something that left my once perfect skin, covered in scars. Fast forward to today, I look at her account and my pictures are STILL there. I reach out again asking her very kindly to please remove my pictures. Which of course, she doesn't do. Instead I get a phone call from her saying my story doesn't add up, under her scanner there's "no signs of skin damage" and then she continued putting the blame on me for what happened. Keep in mind, I recorded this entire conversation. As the night goes on, she blocks me and my friend who contacted her on social media. She sends a message saying if I want my pictures removed I need to contact her. Have I not been doing that this entire time? If you value the way you look, I beg you please do not go to Sonya for anything. She does not care about you. There are plenty of other PMU artists in Arizona that actually care about you read more

The first time (with a different artist) did not stick at all and was pretty painful. Microblading with Sonya didn't hurt. In fact, I actually started falling asleep, haha. One word: painless. Horrible experience with them - I was having a emailed consultation with them as i was interested in microblading & scalp micro-pigmentation. Sonya asked me to send her images (which is a lot for me as this is one of my biggest insecurities, hence inquiring about this service). I was skeptical initially going in to get my eyebrows micro bladed. I was worried that people would know and it would be obvious that they weren't my real eyebrows. I actually ended up missing my first appointment because I talked myself out of it. After seeing the results of a few other dudes that went to her, I rescheduled. It ended up taking a couple weeks to get because she's so booked so I highly recommend not canceling once you get in. Other than that, the results are awesome. My sisters and I found Sonya on Groupon.. We went in for our first appt and put a deposit of $75 and were told that we would pay the difference the day of our procedure. The day of the procedure she told my sisters it would be an additional $50 per hour *this was not discussed prior to the appt* In my experience her work was great however Sonya gave me awful customer service after. She told me to contact her to set up my retouch after 14days and it would be $75 that if I went pass 6wks it would be $100 and up. I texted her twice and she took a wk to respond. She then told me that the only appts available were after my 6wks so I would not be honored the rate of $75. I told her it wasn't my fault that she never got back to me and she said for me to find another artist. She is not professional at all. She charged more then what her Groupon offer was to begin with..she charged me for 30mins extra and on top of that she refused to honor the original retouch rate after she ignored several of my messages. Work on your customer service and honor your rates!! Business lost 3 customers that were more then pleased with her work. ok where do I start..... first the consult with sonya was ok I was super excited I had stocked her instagram page and she looked like she did amazing work I left a deposit to schedule my appointment.............. I get to my appointment with my husband this lady legit kicks him out saying there is no room for him when there are 2 chairs in there... second she never mentioned shed charge me if she passed the I think it was 2-3 hours...and of course she exceeded the time limit go figures right oh yes and she had 2 family members waiting outside the door an during my procedure like 30min before hummm sounds like she clearly planned on taking extra time.... during the process legit I had to tell her I didn't like the shape like 20 times it got to the point she told ME to draw them like seriously?!? she wanted to do the eyebrows how SHE wanted.....then the pain was HORRIBLE her numbing cream was crap... long story short I hated my eyebrows they don't look like hair it just looks like smudges and it faded to a horrible grey color....I went for my touch up with @LILYS_LASHES and ohhhhhhhh my god she even said "who the hell trained this girl" she fixed my eyebrows they look sooooo natural and REAL and I felt NOTHING!!!!!! overall id never come back to this place or recommend ... read more

I am in love with my new brows!!! I have had them tattooed many times over the years with different technicians and Sonya has by far done the best job. She can even remove old ink! I am in the beauty industry my self as a medial esthetician so I see a lot of brows and I am positive that mine are now among the best!
