I hesitate to write such a negative review for a doctor, but I think it's important so that others do not have the same experience. I went to Dr. Babu-Khan twice for yearly skin cancer checks (there is a huge amount of skin cancer in family). The first visit, she was very dismissive, but I attributed it to her being busy. The second visit, I had a strange growth on my arm. She took a biopsy and promised results in 2-3 days. More than a week passed, so I called the office to find out the results. Dr. Babu -Khan returned my call and said, "Since the cream didn't work, we don't know what it is." I responded, "We haven't done anything with cream. Are you sure you're looking at the right record?" Turned out she was looking at another patient's record. Then, she (supposedly) found mine, and told me that the biopsy was completely inconclusive and the pathologists had no idea what it was, but most likely it wasn't cancer. I wasn't satisfied with this answer, but I accepted it for a while. Fast forward several months, and the lesion on my arm continues to grow. I decided to request a copy of the pathology report from the biopsy. It turns out, the pathology report did have a diagnosis, and it is a condition that is treatable (fortunately not cancer). Dr. Babu-Khan's failure to provide accurate information is unacceptable. read more

Very happy with my experience here! Highly recommend. Underground lot with tons of parking, 30 minutes free if you get it validated. Office is clean, tidy, light. The lady at the front is great when you come in. The doctor doesn't take too long to see you, and then she is really helpful, friendly, and was able to help me with my specific questions! 1 star is too high a rating. What a disaster. A few weeks after I saw her in December, her practice is shut down. Negligent and totally apathetic and cold. 6 months later, I'm dealing with a skin cancer she dismissed. She minimized it and asked if I ran into a wall. Night mare. read more

MOST NEGLIGENT AND NON-CARING DOCTOR! My 7 year old daughter saw Dr. Babu-Kahn for treatment of Mulluscum Contagiosum on July 25th of this year. Dr. Babu-Kahn put liquid nitrogen on the Mulluscum without doing a complete check to make sure she treated all the infected spots. She sent us home with oral instructions to use this particular topical medicine on the spots and then to cover them each with a bandaid. There was no specific communication on how much of the medicine to put on or what type of bandaids to use. We got home and discovered the doctor did not even treat all the spots. We had to go back the following Monday to get all the spots treated. The doctor re-treated the original spots with the liquid nitrogen (because it looked like there was not improvement on those pre treated spots) and then treated the new spots with the liquid nitrogen. We were given the same instructions with the topical medicine (only oral instructions, nothing formally written down). By August 9th, my daughter was in a great deal of pain, had a terrible itch, and had a huge rash all over her body. I contacted Dr. Babu-Kahn and was told to put Polysporin on the rash. When I followed Dr. Babu Kahn's instructions, the Polysporin created more pain so we washed it off. I informed Dr. Babu-Kahn of her condition and that we were going to Urgent Care. Dr. Babu-Khan was convinced there was no infection but agreed with our decision to go to Urgent Care. The Urgent Care doctor did a biopsy of one of the skin areas and put my daughter on Keflax in case it was an infection. He diagnosed her with Contact Dermatitis and said this issue should never have occurred from treatment of such a simple medical issue (Mulluscum). Two days later Urgent Care called to let me know MY DAUGHTER DID INDEED HAVE A STAPH INFECTION! The Staph Infection and the Contact Dermatitis (and the further spreading of the Molluscum) came about from Dr. Babu-Kahn's treatment (or in fact, mistreatment) of the Mulluscum. IT IS ALMOST OCTOBER, AND WE ARE STILL DEALING WITH GETTING RID OF THE MOLLUSCUM BECAUSE OF THIS WOMEN'S INCOMPETENCE AND MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE!! We have seen 8 different doctors to treat this situation (6 in Los Angeles and 2 in Orange County). My daughter had to take Trimulosin steroid topical medicine to get rid of the Contact Dermatitis plus Keflax to get rid of the Staph Infection- two super intense meds for a mere 7 year old's body to handle. And to be clear, when I told Dr. Babu-Kahn how bad things were after my daughter was diagnosed with a Staph Infection and Contact Dermatitis... and that Urgent Care had asked my daughter to have a follow up with her as part of the discharge plan- Dr. Babu-Kahn told me she would be at a conference that week and could not see my daughter (even though the conference was local and even though her staff had told me that same morning that my daughter was a top priority and that Dr Babu-Kahn would see her). Furthermore, Dr. Kahn informed me she did not any doctor to cover for her in her absence. Therefore, we were left to figure this mess out on our own despite the fact that Dr. Babu-Kahn created the mess. So to sum it up, Dr. Babu-Kahn mistreated my daughter to begin with, never thought to have her tested for an infection which could have ended up being life threatening, could not make time to see her for a follow-up appointment, and never once contacted us to see how our daughter was doing. I have worked with at least 50 doctors in my career for the past 25 years and have personally been treatment by no less than 50 doctors in my adult life, and I have never seen a doctor that is more incompetent, more unprofessional and more negligent than Dr. Babu-Kahn. I truly believe you could be putting your life at risk if you let this woman "care" for you. read more

Negative! If I could give a negative zero i would, she took a biopsi from my wife's nose and it left a deep crater that has scarred the tip of her nose for life. And adding insult to injury she never bothered to ever contact us about the biopsy! This was was quite a few years ago, what's the statute of limitations on suing a doctor? read more

Weird vibe. Office is very disorganized and I received conflicting information about treatment from the doctor at the time of the visit compared to when I followed up for insurance pricing. I had to follow up twice with the office since the staff neglected to follow up with me as I was told they would when I left their office. I was ultimately told over the phone the treatment I needed could not be performed which is the opposite of what I was told BY DR NASREEN (!) in the office. I do not recommend. UPDATE: I successfully had the procedure performed by a dermatologist in Beverly Hills. Further reason to believe Dr Nasreen and her office are not credible. read more

Dr. Babu-Khan is not only a great physician, she is also a great person. I knew her for a few years before I even knew she was a doctor. I worked at the school where she sends her kids and knew her as a parent volunteer. She's a down-to-Earth lady. I needed a new dermatologist last year and a colleague told me Nasreen was a dermatologist. I was psyched. Her staff is lovely. Dr. Babu-Khan speaks with you about your overall health, not just your skin. Stress can lead to various skin problems so we spoke about that. She prescribed two creams for me, one for a short-term problem and another for an ongoing problem. Despite stress, my skin has been consistently better for the past 12 months. I am more than happy to be going to see her again in the near future for my annual skin evaluation. read more

So disappointed. I feel bad giving a one star but the doctor seemed so uninterested, apathetic and basically just threw me a prescription of cortisone tape. The interaction was a total of two minutes. She came in, asked me why I was there, looked at the itchy spot on my back and said she didn't know what it was but, here let me suppress your immune system with this steroid tape. No questions asked like did you change detergent, soap, etc.. I would've expected some investigation so we could've gotten to the root of the issue. I tried to ask her questions, I want to know is it eczema, dermatitis? Very little response from her except for the prescription for the tape. I understand the answers are not always available but SOME verbal exchange is appreciated because it shows you care! Some western doctors are amazing. She just seemed completely burnt out. Like she's been doing this too long. Front desk was very sweet though. read more

Quite honestly the worst doctor and staff I have ever suffered in my life. Babu-khan misdiagnosed staph infection as acne, her and her office are ridiculously incompetent at getting prescriptions to their patients, and it takes 12 calls to get anything from them done. Keep away at all costs. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!! We were referred to her and she treated both myself and my wife like we were social outcasts. We got to our appointment ahead of time like we always do and were kindly invited to wait outside until our scheduled appointment. We have NEVER been treated so poorly and would never consider going back and would suggest others do the same!!! read more
