Keren Brown, the owner of Mondaes, has been awful with us and to us. She refers to herself as a…read morebusiness wizard, even boasting that she'll teach others, for a price, on how they can grow their own business. Visit any of her Instagram posts and you'll see her singing her own praises over and over. But in my opinion, she's an awful business person. Not only have my experiences with her been overwhelmingly substandard, but I'd personally witnessed her be downright unprofessional, nasty, accusatory, with others, going so far as to lie to someone's face repeatedly. She's lied to my daughter and I, she's lied to other students, she's lied to her staff, she's lied to potential customers. You may ask, why I had continued to return to Mondaes. Why would I give my thousands of dollars to them? The answer is I love the hobby and I cherish the friendships I've made. The fellow students I've encountered have helped create a fun community, something I looked forward to every week. Combine that with the excellent education that Pam and Dave were providing, and it made it worth dealing with the unprofessional Keren. Multiple times Keren asked me if I wanted to invest in Mondaes, the last time via email. Previously, she had asked in person and once had called my home. I asked her for a Profit and Loss statement. I can't imagine investing in anything without knowing where the business stood financially. She said the last year's numbers wouldn't look good because things had been slow. Keren said she would get me the statement, and then failed to provide it at all. Without that statement, I needed to do some research so I could formulate an educated answer should she present the question to me again. I found information doing a "Liens Search" at Idaho.gov. I researched Keren Brown, Mondaes MakerSpace and Puffy Mondaes, the two business names Keren used. She changed from Puffy Mondaes a handful of years back for what, a "fresh start" dodging creditors, liens and responsibilities? Same business, same owner, same space, same stock...just changed the name. Last I checked, there were over 59 liens against Keren, some of them open, some of the closed, many of them new, most of them not very old. The latest was as recent as 5/15/25. Liens are primarily for non-payment of loans and taxes, but most disturbing is her non-payment of her staff. Back in 2023 I learned of an employee that had to go to the Labor Board to get paid wages that were way overdue. That employee eventually quit Mondaes. In 2024, I learned of other employees not getting paid. In 2025, Keren lost five employees, including Pam, Dave, Daisy, Muriel and Jasmine, supposedly due to nonpayment of wages. One may ask themselves, how do I know all that? Keren talks a lot, and she's loud, there are hard floors and sounds carry. Oh yeah, there's also a lien against her from the Labor Board and the police have also been into Mondaes numerous times to serve legal papers, including multiple for non-payment of rent. On the note of non-payment of rent, Mondaes tends to move unexpectedly, before leases are complete. Very reminiscent of dine-and-dash. Combine all these factors, she lost her best asset in teacher Pam Main, she was holding classes that were overbooked for the equipment available, gave disjointed commentary, lacked level-appropriate curriculum that was underwhelming at best, I knew I couldn't stay any longer. She was incredibly rude to myself, some of my fellow classmates and other customers. She lied to me, to other students, and to other customers. And lastly, I'd been there on more than one occasion when the police had been in to serve her legal papers. Aside from the community of fellow potters, there was no reason to return to Mondaes. For many of us, spending our hard earned money at a business that was so bad at business, so dismissive to the community, didn't make sense, so many of us aren't returning.

Listen, I wasn't sure about this experience at first because heights? Me? Ooof. But this energetic,…read moreprofessional, kind, and extremely talented crew made the experience something to rave about. In fact, now I can totally see why people want to run away and join the circus!! Nestled right off of Collister and State in Boise, ID and with a super cute sign to boot, the crew was so welcoming. We started with warming up our shoulders then gratefully got to practice on a hanging bar much closer to the ground. They were there every step of the way with smiles and encouragement. I felt incredibly safe from start to finish and could tell that I was in very good hands. After a practice session and detailed step by step run through of how we would "launch", it was time to climb that ladder 25' up into the air. Sound scary? Yes, yes it was. But don't worry, you're in a harness and there is a safety line all the way up! Standing on that platform my heart was beating so hard but the instructors are just so awesome that I was expertly guided step by step until standing at the edge of the platform with the bar in my hands...it was time to fly!!! Now I have to tell you, I'm not an adrenaline junkie, I don't "like" extreme sports and I usually get carsick...ha. but you know what? Once I hopped off of that platform and the guide at the bottom was calling instructions, my body delivered and I felt like I've never felt before. My smile was just WAY too big while doing a flip dismount that I had to do nothing but follow orders to accomplish. I couldn't have felt more alive, accomplished, and so I happily scrambled up that ladder again and again to feel that rush. I didn't even get motion sickness, probably from all of the adrenaline coursing through my body! Always conscious about your skill and comfort level, they taught me a new move which I was able to practice. Some in the group even did a handoff which looked so cool! I couldn't be more grateful for this amazing experience, something I didn't even know that I needed to experience in my life. The whole crew was fantastic and kind. You don't have to be an adrenaline junkie to fly, and if you are, you'll just have that much more of a blast. Go fly!!

BCC's Friday night painting parties are the best. After being introduced to BCC through a Yelp…read moreevent, I raved about how much fun we had so much that my friend insisted we go. I scored a good deal on Groupon, picked up a bottle of wine, and we headed to the studio on a Friday night. We got to use the airbrush and even spray paint on our master pieces this time. And, as always, Alex made the night fun, engaging, and creative, and we all ended up with a great painting of happy little trees to take home and brag about. Now, can I remember everything we did? Paint, scavenger hunt, paint, view a couple short videos of Alex's work (amazing), paint, roof view of Boise and foothills, paint, and adding a layer to the splatter paint room. Bring plenty of wine because it's going to be a long, fun evening.

The studio is awesome, but it was Alex & Mandy that made the night so much fun! The hours went by so fast, w/ drying times occupied by a scavenger hunt, adding our mark to the group paintings and a beer break. The evening ended w/ Alex's surprise piano solo! Though my husband had a bit of painting experience, my daughter & I hadn't ever done a painting. We were so surprised that we could end up with a real painting that we liked enough to display! We had so much fun and even my husband said he'd want to do it again! That is the ultimate endorsement!

She was very kind, patient, and helpful. My daughter and I each made our own pieces, working side by side. I was so very impressed how our projects turned out. Often, my daughter gets frustrated, noting that my projects turn out 'better' than her own. I try to explain how age, attention to detail, and the like affect our projects, but she still pouts. Well, this project was so well planned and easy to execute that my daughter's turned our looking fabulous! Later, family members had difficulty determining whom had made which. My daughter and I had such a great time that we are scheduled for another class already! I highly recommend this business, experience and the owner Kate!

I went do several Zumba classes before finding Kelly Anderson. The instructor can really make a…read moredifference in a class! Kelly is motivating, fun, energizing, caring, and manages to create a close-knit group among her students. She goes the extra mile (or ten!) and adds prizes, contests, and other fun touches to give her students little boosts along the way. Her routines are amazing -- her dance background shows -- and just makes every single song fun. I'm very uncoordinated, with zero dance background -- and I still have a great time. Kelly, and her students, are warm, welcoming, and seem only to be interested in having a great time and making everyone feel at home. A testament to Kelly and the group is several have been coming to class for years -- a rarity in other zumba classes I've tried. This is a great class for both beginners and advanced Zumba-nistas (at least two of the group are instructors themselves!). Ages seem to run from late '20's to '70's -- and everyone has a wonderful (and challenging) time working out.

I would not recommend this gym based on my family's experience. The coaching staff appeared to…read moreconsist largely of friends of the owner and parents of athletes, rather than coaches with extensive outside experience or advanced training. During our time here, both of my children either stagnated or regressed in their skill development. In practices, I observed limited focus on technical details such as body form in jumps and tumbling. Additionally, I noticed that the owner's children often received priority placements regardless of skill level. There were also financial concerns. Parents, including myself, were charged for competitions that were not attended, a winter showcase that was never held, and practice wear/warm-ups/bags/jerseys that were never distributed. Finally, I co-signed a fundraiser that I was asked to run for the gym. Over $2,000 was collected, and after multiple follow-ups from both myself and the fundraiser's area director, only partial payments were made. The remaining balance was delayed for several months and was only resolved after I stated I would pursue legal action. Overall, due to these issues, I cannot recommend this program.
