Today I heard terrible noise coming from the underbody of the car. Realized yesterday when I was hangry for viet food downtown sj, I accidentally hit a cement divider while trying to find parking. Also realized the whole center piece ripped out and needed to replaced. Was able to have Mo research the part and give me call when it is ready to be installed. Awesome. I am in utter disbelief. I dropped off my beloved BMW M3 to get a brake light error and some squealing near the engine checked out. When I came to pick it up the next day, I discovered a massive scratch on my hood. When I brought it to the owner's attention, he said he would cover the cost of the repair to make it right. So I took the car to a (reputable) body shop to see what my options were. They were generous enough to try polishing it out at no cost. Unfortunately the scratches were too deep and I was told my only option to completely get rid of the scratches was to repaint the whole hood. When I went back to Babylon Auto, the owner then offered to take my car to a nearby shop to get the scratches polished out. I asked him how that would help when I had literally just gotten back from a shop that had tried just that. He refused to pay for a paint job. When I explained to him how this was unfair to me as a customer to come in with a perfectly good hood and leave with a messed up one and that I'd be leaving an (honest) review of what transpired, he pointed at the sky and yelled at me something about being "unfair to him and unfair to God" for "threatening him". I came in with some minor issues and, not only did the issues not get fixed, I left with a jacked up hood. Beware. read more

Didn't even get a chance to take my car in to get checked out, I called ahead of time to try and get a quote on how much a wheel alignment would cost(a service that is claimed to be offered in their site). Whomever answered the phone answered in a very deadpan voice and with just a flat "yes". No introduction, nothing to indicate that I'm actually calling an auto shop. When I told him that I was trying to get an estimate he then claimed that they don't do alignments. I'm a bit annoyed because I don't know why they would claim to offer a service on their site but then not actually do it. And even then I wouldn't be as annoyed if whomever I talked to wasn't just so.. rude. As someone who works in the service industry I know how important it is to keep a positive demeanor to attract and keep customers coming. I don't know who I spoke to on the phone which I unfortunate, but I really hope it's not the manager of this establishment. He walked a couple blocks with me to the car and did an assessment then walked back to the shop and brought more equipment to help diagnose the issue. Once he identified it, he took the car and fixed it within a couple hours. Replacing the battery and ensuring we received a warranty on the battery, he was very thoughtful and hard working through the entire process. This guy is no good. I took my car in for an engine overheating issue, which seemed to be caused by a coolant leak. Turns out that's what it was, and he managed to fix it ($850, with a few other minor maintenance things done at the same time) - car has been running fine since. BUT, in the process of fixing it, he also managed to disable my engine temperature gauge, which is to say that the temp needle was pegged at the bottom (coldest) and wouldn't budge from there. So, I took the car back in to get that fixed, and he fixed it. Obviously, it was inconvenient for me to have the take the car in a second time when it should have been good to go the first time. Worst part is, he tried to charge me $250 to fix the temp gauge! I told him no way - it's his fault that it broke in the first place. He was pretty argumentative about it, but eventually let me go without paying, as he should have. He never even quoted me on that repair before doing it, which is technically required by California law. Oh and one last thing - I also asked him to fix a broken electrical wire in my trunk that controls the trunk "pop" opening function. Basically, what needed to happen was for him to remove an old pin from a connector, put a new pin on the wire, and stick it back into the connector. But instead, he decided to be lazy and just solder the frayed wire onto the old pin. Sure enough, that connection broke within about a week. Now I'm back to a trunk that doesn't work, plus a damaged connector that's melted from where he tried to solder it. Seriously, don't take your car in here. read more

Wow where do I begin. The service and knowledge is nothing short of excellent. My car started shaking while on the freeway and I found this place nearby and decided to stop by. The staff was able to take me immediately, diagnosed the issue and found that there was water in my engine causing the car shake, which got in from a car detailing I got a month ago. The owner went to pick up new parts for me and replaced them for a very low fee (I checked online) and resolved the issue quickly with great service. I went to this place a while back (about three months ago) for an oil change. While there I heard a lady ask if they could fix her window whatever the cost. Big mistake! She literally left it open for the mechanics to charge up to their will. They charged her double of what the job was worth and it only took them 15 minutes to fix, one mechanic asked "How much should I charge?" to what the manager said, "charge her double of what you normally would." As they did this they were also changing my oil. They were not that friendly. They lost the screws that go under my car to hold the splash shield. While driving back to my hometown, the splash shield started dragging for 25 miles. I had to drive slow and for a quick fix use zip ties. My fiance also took his car to get checked, they wanted to charge him 3x the amount of what the work costed. He went somewhere else and he was charged under $100. Never going back to this place again. read more
